Trevase Granary is a converted barn on a working farm sleeping up to 18 (including two children on a sofa bed) in eight luxury en suite bedrooms. Living areas are found on the first floor with access by a stair lift if less able. Exclusive use of private walled garden with large games room and hot tub. 15 minutes from the M50, Ross on Wye, Hereford and Monmouth.

18 of us stayed for the weekend and we welcomed another 8 for meals. The house was stunning, Everything was beautifully organised and prepared for us, and nothing too much trouble. A fabulous family hosted both properties and were always on hand for advice or to fix things, We thoroughly recommend this property.

What an amazing place to spend your holiday with family/friends of any age.
Thank you for the high quality welcome pack it was greatly received and thank you for making our stay there perfect. There was nothing we could think of that was missing or could make our stay any better.
Great communication with Sarah who's always available to make sure everything is 100%.
Must say the new Cinema room is an added bonus, great picture, great surround sound and very cosy (blankets included) just take in the popcorn!

Great house, with a fab cinema and games room. Very well equipped kitchen and good sized bedrooms. The property is amazing and offers something for everyone. The hot tub was loved by the kids as well as the adults. Will be back a for a second visit. Thanks to Sarah and the team for looking after us so well.

We had a wonderful stay here. The barn was very well equipped and a lovely gift basket on arrival.
All rooms were beautifully decorated and clean and the games room was superb.
Sarah made the booking process so easy and was always on hand with we had any queries.
We had a rainy day so the new cinema room was a great touch.
Would definitely recommend Travase Granary to large families.

We had a wonderful week for 18 of us (12 adults, 6 children) to celebrate a number of milestone birthdays. Especially appreciated were the quality of all fittings and furnishings, the spectacular cinema room, the stunning games room, lawn and BBQ area, the hot tub and, most importantly, the contact with the owners, Sarah and her family, who were very warm, friendly and quickly responsive to any queries. Our family decided it was easily the best holiday home we've ever stayed at!

Trevase Granary is a wonderful property. The owners have thought of absolutely everything to support and enhance the stay of their guests.
The interior of the house is beautifully appointed and extremely well equipped, with plenty of space for a large family to gather, prepare meals and relax.
The new cinema room was a great surprise. The screen is huge and the giant sofas were super comfy and tiered for all to be able to see.
We spent a lot of time in or by the properties fantastic garden building.
This building is set at the edge of a huge patio and lawn that ends with stunning far reaching countryside views.
The age range of our holiday group was 8 to 80s and we all loved this garden space.
Lawn to play on, the great games room, the hot tub, the bar & kitchen area and plenty of various types of seating to eat at, chat and relax.
We used the pizza oven and the huge BBQ and the kitchen was equipped with all the utensils, crockery & fridge space that we needed to have, for our big family meals.
The local area has a wide range of activities to do and places to see, which we all really enjoyed but after many years of our family holidays, this time we all found ourselves spending a lot more time than usual at the accommodation, as it was such a fantastic place to be.

We were a family group of 8 adults, 2 seniors, 5 teenagers and one pre-teen, and we had a fabulous week's holiday at Trevase Granary. We were completely wowed by the comfort and spaciousness of the house, and no expense had been spared to make it the perfect place for our birthday celebrations.

We had a very harmonious week, with plenty to occupy everyone. There is such a lot to do in the local area and we took part in pony trekking, mountain climbing, hiking in the Forest of Dean, canoeing on the Wye and castle visiting to name but a few.

On returning to Trevase, we all particularly enjoyed the leisure facilities of the play room, with its jaccuzzi, table tennis, pool table and table football all in regular use. The barbecue was great and we made diy pizzas in the pizza oven. The bar area, with its wine fridges and large stock of glasses, crockery and cutlery was well used too! All of the equipment was of very high quality, and everything was in a beautiful condition.
A real plus, too, especially for the younger members of the family, was the fabulous TV room with its huge cinema screen and tiered seating with luxurious sofas.

So ... a big thank you to Sarah and her team who work very hard to make this a hard-to-beat holiday destination. Well done you!

Having recently stayed at The Granary property (June 2024) I highly recommend Trevase Cottages - 5 stars!
To start, the booking process was simple yet professional and all correspondence from Sarah were clear and welcoming. The property itself was of the highest standard and fully equipped with everything our large party could have asked for - bbq, games room, hot tub, kitchen etc etc - all prefect! The outdoor space and surrounding views made for a beautiful setting too.

We had a wonderful few days at Trevase Granary. The house is perfect for a family gathering, we didn't need to leave the house! The kids and adults loved the games room and the cinema room was amazing. The house is so well equipped we were able to cater for 18 all weekend.

We had the best time at the Granary. It is always a worry when the entire family go away together and there were 16 of us staying so it could have gone any which way. As it turns out it was the most incredible stay in the best setting and space. We did not feel for one second like we were living on top of each other and each having their own toilet and washing facilities was amazing. We had young children in our party and one with severe special needs so having all the space was really important.
We had shopped for about a month not quite knowing how much of anything we would need but were really pleased with all the little touches of washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, hand wash, shampoo and shower gel. We needn't have worried about those bits in our shopping but now we know how well equipped this property is, we won't worry next time. The hamper of cake and juice and crisps was the cherry on top and it was very well received.
Everyone's favourite bit was the Games Room. It was the best space. From the jacuzzi to the bar, to the pool table and outdoor games, it was the best bit and so nice to have that social area. We had a pizza night, a BBQ and a grazing evening and had the best time making memories. The children (and adults) loved the jacuzzi and it was so much fun to play Ping Pong, pool, fuze or kick a ball around in the garden. The only problem we had was the weather wasn't warm enough but that cannot ever be guaranteed. We would love to go back for some Summer sunshine and maybe stay for longer next time. The 4 days didn't seem long enough. The area was beautiful (my children loved the sheep and the bull on site) and we had fun at Go Ape and the steam railway which were only short drives away. The Trevase Granary is a wonder of a place. A real excellent find. We will definitely be back!

The house was lovely; spotless, beautifully maintained with a well stocked kitchen, and with views over the countryside that are hard to surpass. We enjoyed the games room and having a separate telly lounge so members of the party could do their own thing when at home. As we had two older relatives with us, the wet room and stair lift were both appreciated. Sarah is a very considerate and attentive host.

Trevase granary provided everything you could need for an incredible getaway with friends. With the sun shining the games room, garden and hot tub provided the perfect day alongside great walks in the surrounding countryside. In the house itself was plenty of room and communal areas for everyone and big dinners. This is a must when considering a getaway for large groups. I cannot speak highly enough of the service from the hosts too. Will be visiting again!

Everything from booking and paying the deposit to arriving has been so easy to book and deal with the office. the website has endless information to help plan your stay .
The whole cottage is maintained to an extremely high standard and so welcoming and spotless . We had an amazing time in this beautiful house for my daughter’s hen party. The house is huge, really comfortable and contains everything you could ever need for your stay. The bedrooms are lovely and comfortable and plenty of bathrooms so no queues in the morning!

The kitchen is extremely well equipped too!

The games room was a brilliant place for us to gather and celebrate, a hot tub, bar and plenty of activities - something for everyone.

Beautiful location, ample parking and a lovely host, who was easily contactable if you needed anything.

The welcome basket was a lovely and thoughtful surprise too.

We were so pleased to find Trevase Granary for a family 80th party weekend. Having a home fully set up for a group of 18 people was a pleasure and the Granary didn't disappoint.
The whole house was so well kitted out, you really couldn't want for much more - from the coffee machine in the kitchen, to comfy sofas in the lounges, a dining table that seated 18 people easily, a stair lift for the older members, tastefully decorated bedrooms with toiletries, a spacious games room, lovely garden and a fully kitted out cocktail bar!
Sarah, the owner, explained that as a big family they always like to find well appointed accommodation and so personally wanted to make sure their guests wanted for nothing, and we certainly didn't.
Thank you for making our stay memorable, shame it wan't longer but w will definitely be back.

With en-suite bedrooms for all and generous social spaces in the Granary, the real highlight for our party of 17 was the large games room with its bar facilities and covered hot tub. We visited in February; I imagine it would be even better in summer when you can make the most of the large walled garden too.
The accommodation was clean and well equipped with many thoughtful details. Our host was friendly and very easy to communicate with.
We go away every year as a group and Trevase Granary has been voted our favourite so far!

We have visited many cottages and converted barns across the country and this one really does stand out.

The facilities are excellent and the converted games barn is fantastic fun. The owner/manager of the property was very responsive throughout our stay when we were asking silly questions and requests, she helped immediately.

We loved the bar area in the barn, it was kitted out like a full kitchen allowing not only for cocktail mixing but also a separate space to prep it daily packed lunches for the wet walks we had during our stay!

All in all, our family and all the other families that joined us absolutely loved this property. Thanks for not skimping and having quality facilities, this is a rare thing.

We were a group of 17 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The accommodation was in great condition and the rooms all good sizes. The ensuites to each room were brilliant allowing each family to have their own space and be comfortable. The beds were really comfortable and the water pressure from the taps was really good too. Nice and warm and a cosy feel with all the Christmas decorations. We cooked a big meal and found the kitchen was equipped really well with all that we needed. Sarah, our host, was always available before we visited and during with really timely responses and she was always very helpful and considerate towards all our needs. Thank you Sarah. The games room was amazing with the table tennis being a hit especially. We did not use the hot tub but what a great area and it really made our stay as we spent time together. Both the house and the games room were always warm and we never once felt cold despite it being a big building and a very cold day.

We were 14, ranging in age from 12 to 79, celebrating a Golden Wedding together. The Granary suited us perfectly: everyone had a gorgeous room and en suite bathroom; there was a huge dining table so we were all able to eat together; two large sitting rooms enabled us to be together and to escape one another; the well-equipped kitchen allowed several of us to prepare meals at the same time; there was plenty of everything; and the Games Room was a delight for us all.

The weather was not good enough to allow us to test out the al fresco cooking and dining, but good enough to allow some gentle walks and some great days out. We visited Symonds Yat, Ross on Wye and Hereford.

We had ordered a huge Waitrose delivery which arrived about an hour after we did, and was delivered straight to the kitchen, without question, despite it being on the first floor. Sarah was always available and always helpful.

The Granary is really well appointed for a large group, with space in the building and a separate leisure area so that even in bad weather it’s accommodating. We chose it again this year for a mid week stay as it’s perfect for an Autumn visit. It’s within reach of so many places to visit that there is always plenty to do. The setting on the farm is perfect and with several sunny days it was our best year.
We needed a big fully en-suite place to stay and there aren’t that many of high quality around for our group. The rooms were nicely presented on arrival and we were greeted by Sarah. The booking and arrangement of rooms were all set up in detail. There is a well appointed kitchen and huge dining and sitting area, a separate TV lounge. The leisure building has a west facing terrace with views. I can strongly recommend it as our group we’re all really positive about our stay.

Had an amazing stay at Trevace. The place was stunning! Literally had every amenity you could think of. Games room, hot tub are really high quality to match the rest of the venue.

We stayed at Trevase for a birthday celebration, 13 adults and 2 children ranging in age from 1 to 88. We had an absolutely lovely weekend, enjoying all Trevase's many great facilities. The games room was popular with everyone - we barbecued and played rounders, made cocktails and chilled in the hot tub. Even my in-laws, both in their 80s, enjoyed a game of table tennis. The kitchen was really well equipped and we also made good use of the hostess trolley. All in all, a wonderful stay.

12 of us stayed at Trevase Granary for a short holiday. We found the facilities, accommodation and overall quality of the property excellent. All of us enjoyed our stay very much. We found all area’s very clean and comfortable. It’s an excellent house for a large group. Great dining table and all kitchen equipment good quality and easy to use. Games room and barbecue area very enjoyable for a fun summer’s evening. Sarah was very helpful and always available for queries. We would definitely recommend the Granary and we would have no hesitation in booking this property again. Overall an excellent holiday.

We had an excellent stay in Trevase Granary the accommodation is lovely. The games room and hot tub a joy for both the adults and the children alike. The calves and the bull on the farm provided endless entertainment. It was great to be able the store our bikes securely, The pizza oven and bbq were fun for family meals, the cooks could cook while the children played.

We booked Trevase Granary for a hen party of 16 and could not have chosen a better property! It is situated in beautiful countryside with great views from the games room. The house itself is amazing. Much larger than it looks in the photos. Every detail had clearly been thought about, from multiple fridges and dishwashers to the comfiness of the beds and every possible kitchen item that you could need. We received excellent customer service and great communication prior to the stay. I highly recommend Trevase Granary!

We had a fantastic stay at Trevase Cottage as a group of four friends and their families. Blessed with a spot of sun, it was a pleasure to sit in the garden. Furniture and play equipment was of high quality. The Games room was used regularly and suited our mixed group of children ranging from 7-17 years. The cottage was well stocked with a welcome basket and a well equipped kitchen that was ideal for cooking for large numbers. Plenty to do in the local area. Communication was excellent with the host. We will definitely return.

We had the most fantastic week staying at Trevase Granary for my 50th Birthday celebrations over Easter. The accommodation is fabulous, spacious and very well equipped. The games room definitely made the stay, we couldn’t ask for more. There was something for all ages from football goals in the enclosed garden for the children and hot tub for the adults. We got to see some lovely sunsets too while enjoying a glass of fizz on the patio.

We were a family group of 14, age range 10 to 78 and all thought the Granary a great place particularly the games room/bar/hot tub with its outside space, (much loved by footballers). It had a great view across the lovely surrounding countryside too. Exceptionally well equipped with everything we needed.

I wanted something special for my hen party... and I certainly got it. A group of about 15 women hired this beautiful property for the weekend... We had the most amazing stay.
Everyone commented on how comfortable the beds were. Everything you need is provided. The games room and hot tub are an amazing extra. I was suprised by how spotless the whole place was... Especially considering how big it is. Host was lovely and very welcoming. I'd love to give you some feedback on things to improve but if I'm being honest... There was nothing you can improve on in my opinion. I will no doubt be back here in future. Thank you so much.

We are a group of friends who always have an annual get together. We have been doing this for over 20 years so we have a lot of experience of hiring big holiday houses. Trevase Granary is certainly one of the best houses we have stayed in. We loved the layout and even though this is a big property there is a very cosy feel to it. We arrived on a cold, snowy day and were delighted to find that the house was lovely and warm with a delightful welcome hamper filled with local produce waiting for us. The house is extremely well equipped. The games room is a great space and the bar area is a real treat. We had a fabulous stay at Trevase and would highly recommend it.

We had a big family holiday for 14 of us an come across trevase granary that could accommodate us all including 2 wheelchair users! We all had such an amazing time, they have everything you could need to use to cook with or cater with and make drinks, they have everything in the way of entertainment and it was the best holiday I've ever been on. I'm already stuck as a wheelchair user trying to find places where i can get round or get through the doors or even use a bathroom and shit the door but i could do everything everyone else could it was amazing. We all said we want to come back and id recommend to anyone

This house is absolutely incredible, I cannot fault it! It is very well equipped, so you have everything you need even if you’re staying for a week and doing all the cooking in the house. The beds are super comfy, which is always a bonus, and the bedrooms are roomy. Plenty of seating for everyone and having 2 lounges is fab for if some people want to get away for a bit. Gorgeous views of the surrounding fields, and you can hear the sheep chatting to each other which is very wholesome!
The hot tub is brilliant, and the games room is extremely well equipped…especially the bar!
I cannot recommend staying here enough, the owners have thought of everything and are on hand to help if you need anything.

I booked this accommodation on the recommendation of a friend who has used this property for family gatherings The property didn’t disappoint at all. We were a group of 9 adults and 6 children aged between 10 and 12. It oozed both luxury and comfort. It was very well equipped and enabled 4 families to cook, eat and play together with plenty of space and options The games room was an immediate hit and we spent a lot of time playing together It provided the best possible entertainment area for our New Years Eve celebration. A perfect family getaway with everything you’d want or need on site.

A beautifully kept house suitable for all of the family with an excellent games room to keep the children (and adults) entertained with a bonus bar and jacuzzi.

Only point to note is that majority of bedrooms are on the ground floor and the main living space is on the first floor so in the evening if people are likely to sleep earlier than others the sound does travel very easily from the first floor to the ground floor so they may want to consider sleeping in the second floor rooms, where you don’t hear anything.

Nevertheless a great stay, excellent hosts always on hand to assist and support where required.

Our gang couldn’t have been happier with Trevase Granary. Its spacious, luxurious and couldn’t be better equipped to house a big group.

From the dining room and its stunning old beams to the fab kitchen and huge cooker, the brand new bar and games room to the incredibly comfy beds and en suites throughout the place.

Within 35 minutes’ walk across country there’s a great pub and stunning views. Would recommend to anyone and will definitely be returning next year.

We chose Trevase Granary as a central location that our far-flung family could readily access in order to celebrate our 25th Wedding anniversary. The location was perfect and the surroundings excellent. The location on a working farm with animals appealed to the young grandchildren.
The accommodation was without fault, superbly comfortable in all respects; fantastically equipped and all achieved whilst maintaining the barn character. We cannot think of anything that hasn't been thought of, planned and incorporated.

The Games Room was fantastic and kept both adults and children fully occupied. Amazing.

We had a wonderful stay at the Trevase Granary last weekend. The accommodation was set in the deep countryside surrounded by fields & farm animals belonging to the working farm. Waking up to th e sound of cows & sheep was beautiful.The Granary provided an amazing space to enjoy each other’s company, but also had different areas for relaxation. The upstairs bedrooms are amazing & fun, but you have to be able bodied to get under the beams. The Games Room provided hours of entertainment for us 50+ year olds . We were able to eat & drink over there enjoying the views & sunset.
Thank you to all the staff involved for a very memorable stay. We would definitely recommend to anyone.

A beautiful property in beautiful surroundings. Attention to detail is second to none with everything you could need and more. The games room was amazing with plenty to keep adults and children entertained and the hot tub was gorgeous the only negative was the position of it and with the bar area being perfect for parties but unfortunately you have to be quiet after 11 pm which can be overlooked when you are having a good time, this said we had an amazing time and would definitely like to come back again.

This is my 3rd time staying at Trevase, and every time I have not been left disappointed.

The space is excellent, we were 10 adults and 9 children - and we didn't feel like we were on top of each other.
The kitchen has everything you need (and more).

The games room and bar is excellent and a great safe space for the kids.

We enjoyed a lovely mid-week break at Travase Granary, it was perfect for an age range of 3 years to 87 years, we spent a lot of time in the games room and large enclosed garden. The house had everything provided that we wanted, making it perfect for our extended family to enjoy a great break.

A group of 14 people walking the Wye Valley Walk needed somewhere central to base ourselves from. The facilities were first class and each member of the group enjoyed their stay at Trevase enormously. There was plenty to do at the venue after the walk. The site had a first class games room with T tennis as well as a pool table, hot tub etc.

We booked the Granary when we were let down on a previous booking. This was a family break following a family wedding and we could not have been more delighted. All the adults in the party were amazed at the layout cleanliness and attention to detail all our needs were catered for. The weather also helped as we spent the whole break at the bar and recreation area delighting in the kids having a great time. Could not fault any aspect would definitely recommend to others.

We were a group of 11 getting together for an annual reunion. Trevase Granary was ideal - plenty of room, well equipped, quiet location and fantastic views. We enjoyed good weather and spent most of our evenings in the games block / walled garden area, to the extent that we also ate there. Fixtures and fittings are high quality with all furnishings very comfortable. We would highly recommend Trevase.

I rented Trevase Granary for 7 Nights to celebrate my 60th Birthday with 14 Friends. The place did not disappoint. The Trevase Granary Website has such an amazing amount of helpful information - especially the Floor Plan and Virtual Tour. I felt I knew every inch of the place before we arrived - so useful in allocating rooms. I hired a Private Chef Service (Rosette Catering) through them and it was an amazing service! The location is fairly remote - but close enough to some interesting towns, cities, forests and hills. But it's the attention to detail that was special. They provided everything you could possibly need and when we had a tiny issue - it was resolved almost immediately. All living spaces are spacious and well appointed and the 8 en-suite bedrooms have the most comfortable beds. We really enjoyed the separation between House and Games Room - so everyone could find some quiet space when needed in a big group. This is a working farm - and everyone we came into contact with was so friendly and helpful. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Trevase Granary for a large gathering of friends or family.

This was our second visit to Trevase Granary and, once again, it proved to be an excellent venue for a large family get-together.
Everyone had a great time. The games room, hot tub and cocktail bar were enjoyed by all; and being able to seat 15 for dinner and breakfast was a big plus - lots of laughter and chat - much needed after all the delays and postponements due to COVID.

Absolutely superb accommodation in the main barn, and the “leisure centre” is 100% perfect. We were blessed with beautiful sunny skys, after a long wait of over 2 years, and spent the whole weekend outdoors. This cottage has everything you need, and the new bar area in the games room is amazing. Hot tub has the BEST views. Sarah & her family have provided everything for a relaxing break in stunning countryside. Great patio area for outside dining where we used the pizza oven (again everything provided).

We were originally booked in here for 2020, but ended up with a cancellation due to lockdown. We were excited to be able to finally make it, and it did not disappoint. The rooms are all well appointed and a group/shared areas were in good condition and clean. The hamper on arrival was a nice touch.

The games room is a highlight, and we were lucky to have a weekend of fantastic weather to take advantage of the room and garden area.

The Harewood End is a great pub and a reasonable walk away - about 30 - 40 mins each way. Food was good, and Daniel was a great host.

The kids loved watching the farm in action, and the Cows got lots of attention on the way to the games room!

Only thing that would make it slightly better would be labels on the cupboards - the kitchen is massive and we were forever trying to track down various bits by opening every cupboard and drawer!

Overall, a fantastic weekend, thank you to Sarah and the rest of the team!

We absolutely loved our stay at trevase, all amenities were fabulous. The games room was a big hit with all the family, especially the fully fitted Bar!! Brill!! Hot tub! outdoor pizza oven! All were great! Loved this addition to the cottage.

All the bedroom's rooms were a good size all with ensuites, towels , tea/coffee facilities, the
cottage itself was home from home everything you needed was already thought of, lots of rooms to relax with plenty of space for all.
We arrived to a lovely welcome hamper, with many goodies , such a lovely thought by the owners .

The whole weekend made my 50th bday celebrations really special.

We were a mixed family group of 17 adults who had a truly fantastic week stay at the Granary. The accommodation is beautiful. Comfortable bedrooms and social areas. The kitchen is stocked impressively with everything you could need and all of a great quality. There are little extras everywhere from the impressive welcome basket to the toiletries in all of the bedrooms. The stunning dining room and comfortable seating area gave us the room for some epic dinners and relaxed drinks after.
The cherry on the top is the truly impressive leisure barn with hot tub, games and full bar. We had hours and hours of great fun in there.
The owners are on site, accesible and helpful but not intrusive. The working farm is also a pleasure to be on with all the lovely animals around. There is plenty of parking and good WIFI provision. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. We've already booked for next year.

We were so lucky to have found Trevase Granary. We wanted a venue for a Birthday weekend for a group of 12 and Trevase Granary was just perfect. Each of the individually designed rooms was spacious, beautifully appointed and had the most comfortable bed and pillows. Each bedroom had a luxurious shower room or roll top bath. The property delivered on so many levels but the dining room was central to our weekend and the huge table easily seated our party for a takeaway curry one day and a lovely catered dinner on the next night courtesy of Harts Barn Cookery School I have never stayed somewhere with such a great kitchen and with every piece of crockery or kitchen utensil you could possibly need. There were at least 3 fridges, 2 dishwashers and a great cookery. The other highlight was the Games room with it's brand new bar. It's slightly separate from the house in a beautiful private walled garden and you can sit and watch the sun go down from the hot tub. We could have lived over in the Games Room, it was such fun and once again excellently appointed with a wonderful bar and huge beer and wine fridge. The countryside surrounding the property is beautiful and we were able to walk to the Harewood End Inn for Sunday lunch. I can't thank the family enough for making this such a great experience for us from the booking process to the stay itself. I would absolutely recommend Trevase Granary for large family groups or parties of all ages, there is literally something to do for everyone (even an XBox).

We were a group of 4 families with our children's ages ranging from 10 to 19. We have visited a number of cottages over the years and this was by far the best one we have visited. The website is one of the best around giving lots of useful information about the area. We were also met with a lovely welcoming pack. The owners had planned to ensure all our needs were met including items such as tea, coffee, dishwasher tablets etc all provided. The owners had worked hard in ensuring the cottage was accessible for a couple of people in our party. We had one small problem with a tv set not working and this was dealt with straight away. The kids adored the games room and the garden and spent lots of time there. The hot tub was also well used. We had some great days out at the Herefordshire Raceway, the Battlelands paintballing and the Wyedean canoeing. Herefordshire is greatly underrated as a place to visit. We loved it so much that we tried to book again for next year but the cottage was already taken! Fortunately for us the other cottage was free so we are heading there!

Had a wonderful time at the amazing Trevase Granary. There were 12 of us celebrating our son's 30th birthday.
All 8 of the en-suite bedrooms are beautifully appointed, and the kitchen was equipped with everything you could possibly need.

The cottage was beautifully clean and well cared for and had everything we needed. There was plenty of room for everyone, and from a practical point of view, having en-suites for everyone was fantastic.The games room was the highlight of everyone's trip though - it's even better than the pictures on the website - and because there was something for everyone we spent a lot of time together as a family. Efficient family run business situated in a rural location. We didn't have the capacity number of occupants so the property was definitely very spacious. The seperate fully equipped games room/area was a big hit with all the family.

The Granary is just the most fantastic holiday destination for a large group. I would list all the positives from the fantastic rooms, great beds, superb games room, hot tub, fully stocked kitchen, attentive hosts, great views etc but the list is endless. Only wish I’d brought my Tesla.. 2 charging points! Really a faultless venue

A superb luxury barn conversion nestled in the rural countryside on a working farm where we lost all track of time and throughly enjoyed our stay with the peace of mind due to the owners hard work to ensure all COVID-19 measures were in place and at the same time not overwhelming.Well Done and Thank You to the family for a memorable stay.

Amazing cottage with wonderful views especially on clear sunny days!
Covid-19 rules fully upheld with superior cleanliness regime aswell as plenty of hand sanitisers, anti bac cleaning products for our group to feel super safe. Small issues were dealt with very quickly & the young children had a blast with ample garden space & games available and they enjoyed the farm animals too!
Hot tub was high quality and blissfully relaxing.
And finally the welcome hamper with local treats were also super tasty and a nice touch.

We were the first to stay at Trevase Granary after the pandemic lockdown so it was challenging for us and for the owners. They had worked really hard to prepare the house after the long shut down and did a great job. We felt very safe and used the sanitiser provided very regularly. We were very lucky with the weather so were able to stay outside, particularly by the excellent games area. The children thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Everywhere was very well equipped and very luxurious, without feeling too fragile for families. We would definitely recommend a stay there.

Trevase Granary. Our party of 7 retired nurses and partners had a great time for their annual reunion. A great area for walking and plenty of intresting places to visit, despite our visits being curtailed by the "virus". We were kept busy with local walks and the well equiped games room.
The location of the Granary opposite the farm yard was perfect to watch the new born lambs and cattle. Amy was very helpful with advice and local knowledge. The local farm shop was excellent, lovely fresh veg and meat. A great break despite the strange times.

This was our 11th annual family holiday for February half term and Trevase Granary was up with the very best!! This was the weekend of Storm Dennis and we all felt cosy in the barn and had lots of fun.
The living accommodation was wonderfully spacious for our 17 family members - 12 adults and 5 children. The Cider Room for 3 granddaughters was perfect and the games room was excellent for those hard fought table tennis tournaments and relaxing in the hot tub afterwards!!
The Kitchen is very well equipped for a large party. Two dishwashers, two kettles, three refrigerators and more than enough crockery and cutlery ......... we never ran out of anything! All the bedrooms were superb, with televisions (especially for the kids) and the added luxury of tea and coffee facilities was wonderful - 5star all the way!!
We would not hesitate to recommend Trevase Granary for the accommodation and location and we will be back again.

We had an amazing stay here. Amy was lovely and really helpful.
The house was beautiful (definitely kept getting lost at the starts - so many doors!) we had a private chef (Dason Catering) for one of the nights which I would also highly recommend!
Only slight annoyance was the hot water but I mentioned this to Amy and it was fixed straight away.
Would definitely go back & will be sharing this house with a few colleagues who have been looking for a similar stay!

This place is amazing, everything you need it has. The only thing I would say is the games room is fetched from the main building which is not clear on website. But it is only about a 30m walk. Everyone who went loved the venue, not a bad word was said. Would definitely go back, and would recommend to people who want to go for a local bite to eat The Harewood End Inn pub. staff friendly and food brilliant.

Excellent, beautifully appointed property that was perfect for our party of 15. There was everything you would ever need and the 2 dishwashers made life so much easier! Games room and hot tub were a brilliant addition and kept everyone of all ages happy. The large dining room /sitting room off the kitchen worked very well and we used the second sitting room for quiet time (completed 2 large jigsaws whilst there). Having every bedroom en-suite was a bonus and the beds were very comfortable.
Location was good for exploring the area, Ross on Wye, Hereford, Monmouth and Abergavenny all within easy reach and our favourite outing was to Raglan Castle.

This is wonderful property in a beautiful location. The communication with Liz and Amy was great and the booking/payment process was smooth and easy. For a large group at Xmas it was perfect and we enjoyed our dinner round the large table, played games and enjoyed drinks in the communal living area and vegged out on the sofas in the second living room for Gavin and Stacey. Our resident chefs said the kitchen was the best equipped and set up of all the self catering places they have ever stayed. There was a fair queue for the one microwave to reheat leftovers on boxing Day, but to be fair we could have also used the one in the games room! The bedrooms were hotel quality, with great towels, bedding and toiletries. This was an extra nice touch as everyone got the comfort and privacy of hotel quality en suite rooms while still having loads of communal space to socialise and unwrap presents en mass on Xmas morning. Excellent. 5 stars. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect for a weekend away - the house is great with lots of space and all the amenities you could need. The real winner for us was the games room. A stones throw from the property, this complex has everything you could need and was well insulated from noise / the cold!

Our 6th visit to Trevase Cottages and first to Trevase Granary. As ever we had a fantastic 3 night weekend. It's a gorgeous house in a beautiful location. Good walks nearby. Great hot tub. Very helpful Pursey family. An unexpected bonus was seeing the new born lambs. The children (one aged 15) voted the weekend 'better than their birthdays!

We really enjoyed our stay last weekend at
Trevase Granary.
The house is perfect for a family party. Facility’s were appreciated by young and old. The children loved their lounge (as they called it) having two lounges was ideal for us. The games area over the courtyard was great fun and the hot tub had plenty of use.

Having visited this accommodation in the past with the whole of our adult family, we had no hesitation in booking it again but this time with our own children, their partners and our four young granddaughters! When we arrived on Friday afternoon, on what was a chilly day, we were delighted to walk into a beautifully warm environment- the heating was on and the bedrooms had been well prepared for our arrival! The facilities were up to the usual standard and our granddaughters particularly loved the games room with the ‘Hot Tub’ and other forms of entertainment on tap! The situation is second to none and each day it was a breath of fresh air to look out on the farm animals grazing in a nearby field. The kitchen, lounge and dining area were all beautifully prepared and we were grateful for the gifts waiting for us in the kitchen - thank you!! As a partially disabled person, it was also useful to have a facility, a chair lift, to help with climbing the stairway. This is a very high standard granary conversion providing extensive 8 bedroom accomodation, perfect for our needs as an extended family of different generations. The ground floor bedrooms, all ensuite, were perfect for older family members whilst the top floors for the families and younger couples. One or two rooms just had baths and no showers over which didn't suit everyone - over bath showers would help. The quality of furnishings and beds were excellent, very comfortable all round, and plenty of space. Excellent well equipped big kitchen. We loved the games room and large jaccuzi with great views. The owners, Liz and Amy, were very attentive and helpful. Location fantastic to explore Herefordshire.

Trevase Granary has proved to be a great place for a family holiday: over the last ten years it has accommodated everyone in our family from small children who enjoyed the well equipped games room and enclosed garden to disabled grandpa who appreciated the stair lift. All appreciated the comfort of the accommodation and the helpfulness of the owners

There are lots of attractions to suit all tastes in the area, some of our family favourites have been cream teas in Ross, Cycling in the Forest of Dean, Goodrich castle, Go Ape and canoeing on the River Wye

We went to Trevase Granary for my husbands 40th birthday and there were 15 adults and 4 children. There was plenty of space and the enclosed garden and games room were perfect for the little ones to run around or for the grown ups to relax! The views from all the windows were beautiful. The whole place was equipped with everything you need and more, especially the kitchen - they thought of everything! We’re trying to work out dates for when we can all come again!

We loved our stay! The house truly accommodates the number of guests permitted- the dining table, for example, seats 18 in absolute comfort, everyone has a seat in the living room with no squishing, the outside tables and chairs fit everyone.

Excellent hard-enough deep mattresses, abundant hot water, good towels and linen, abundant crockery, cutlery and glassware etc were here, which was a lovely surprise for some of our party who have experienced quite the opposite elsewhere.

Fridge space was a challenge for the first couple of days but that may be down to the inordinate amount of food we had delivered!

The partly walled garden with the games room in it is a short walk across a yard. If the gate is kept closed into it, it is a safe space for a toddler to roam. Against lovely old brick walls are espalier fruit trees bearing pears and apples. The view is beautiful open countryside and cows in the meadow!

"Games room" barely does justice to the attractive building with hot tub, spacious changing room with shower and WC, kitchen area with fridge and dishwasher and its own crockery etc. There are tri fold doors, seating, music, toys, games, tv - it was so well used by us - including the pizza oven and barbecue.

I have some mobility difficulties and the large wet room in the Cider room was ideal with shower seat and toilet frame supplied. The stair lift was a godsend and made everything except the 2nd floor and hot tub accessible.

The bright young things who had the top floor rooms definitely had to duck between bed and bathroom but 4 out of 5 of them said it was was absolutely fine and, after all, you know the beams are there before you book.

Strolling down to the farm's fishing lake was great and provided fabulous pink sunsets.

Liz and Amy were charming and helpful hosts and a couple of snags were sorted very promptly indeed. A big thank you to them.

This is a long review which could be summed up as "book without hesitation"!

15 of us visited for a long weekend to celebrate and relax. This place succeeded all expectations and more. The house is beautiful we all felt right at home. The kitchen had everything we needed, the layout gave everyone their own space but always brought us all together in the comfortable well spacious living areas.
Game room is so well thought out. The 15-20 second walk from the house to the room/ enclosed garden added to the holiday feeling. We all made use of the Hot tub, it was incredibly relaxing and the view is superb.
Most of our time was spent enjoying each other’s company in the sun in the enclosed garden, we put the bbq and pizza oven to good use!
We were made to feel very welcome on arrival and throughout our stay.

We hired the property for our wedding guests and we have had rave reviews from them. It was great knowing everyone had their own bathroom as not all the guests knew each other and meant we could fairly split the cost between them. We were a family of fourteen with an age range of three to sixty nine, the house was perfect for us, it was spacious and well equipped. Toys and games were also provided that were suitable for all ages. The outside space was wonderful with a large enclosed garden next to the games room which again had everything you needed, the hot tub was great and the children spent hours playing pool and table tennis. Fantastic barbecue and pizza oven which we put to good use, the garden had sun from morning to night. It was a thoroughly enjoyable week in a beautiful part of the country.

Fantastic week at Trevase for our party of ages 2 to 70.
All ages had a great time, with much time spent in the games barn & field.
We strolled the quiet, surrounding lanes & footpaths, visited the local towns of Ross & Hereford & enjoyed the many attractions around Symonds Yat & the Forest of Dean.
The Granary was perfect for our mixed age group. The kitchen was much used for cooking meals. Our 3 youngest loved sitting at the kitchen island for breakfast. The dining room was perfect for our mass meals. The bedrooms were loved by everyone.
The children particularly enjoyed the games barn & field and the cows & bulls on the farm. The adults enjoyed a relaxing break (partly because the kids were having fun!), but, also, because the facilities worked so well for us.

As a group of 15 we have stayed in large properties once a year for the last 15 years and can honestly say this was the nicest property to date. The furnishing were first class as was the cleanliness. The 2 dishwashers and multiple fridges were a well thought out godsend and we didn’t run out of mugs once all weekend.

Beautiful 9 mile walk in the sunshine along the River Wye from Goodrich Castle on Saturday and a walk from the door along quiet lanes and fields to a local pub The Harewood End Inn for a lovely Sunday lunch then an afternoon in the games barn working it off.

As a rule we never go back to the same place twice but breaking our own rules next year and have booked the sister property for next years break.

A fabulous accommodation, would highly recommend

Trevase looks beautiful on the website and it is exactly the same in real life. A group of 15 adults went to celebrate my 40th birthday. Everyone said that the house was amazing and all the rooms were to a great standard. There has been talk of rebooking at later dates or trying out the other barn. The hosts were also incredibly accommodating with my strange requests before arriving.

It was very sad to leave Trevase, I couldn’t recommend it highly enough!

The cottage; Cottage seems an inadequate description for a three story eight bed-roomed house, was a perfect setting for our strategic planning team building workshop. Accommodation was spacious with a large dining table large enough to fit 16 people that doubled up as a fabulous meeting space too. The bedrooms were large all with en-suite bathrooms providing colleagues with their own space. Kitchen was well equipped with everything you need to self-cater for 16 people with three fridges available to hold any liquid refreshment needs.

There was a games room with a snooker and ping pong table plus a large Jacuzzi and a large outdoor space set in the most idyllic Hertfordshire countryside and on a working farm full of all the noises and smells.

Owners provided a lovely welcome pack with cakes, crisps, local apple juice etc.

Owners were welcoming whilst keeping a respectful distance as they live next door.

We achieved all our aims for this rare opportunity to all be together whilst feeling refreshed and nourished by the environment.

I chose this venue for my daughters hen party weekend. We were a group of 14 ladies. It's quite rare to find a self catering accommodation with 8 en suite bedrooms and all immaculate and very stylish. It was equally great to have the long dining room room table which easily seated us all very comfortably and a kitchen which was fitted with ample fridge space and 2 dishwashers. The Games /hot tub area was a particular bonus and thoroughly enjoyed by all.
A big thank you to the Trevase team who also helped with some very good links to various activities which we were able to bring into the weekend, all were a great success (caterers, life drawing).
The welcome pack was delightful and received numerous positive comments.

We stayed here for a 4 generational weekend away and it was the perfect house and location. The kids (and many of the adults) loved all the equipment in the games barn, and the house itself was wonderfully well equipped and the perfect size for our large group. The beds were incredibly comfortable and had everything we could need. And it's a beautiful setting with some very pretty walks. A great find!

What a wonderful place, quiet and secluded but has everything you need for a great time. Very well equipped with excellent quality items, the only thing we lacked (but maybe couldn’t find) was some tall tumblers.
The games room and the hot tub was a great success, and we were able to set up lots of silly games in the garden.
We would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone.

We had a family weekend at Trevase Granery, 16 of us aged between 16 and 86. We had a fabulous stay, everything you could want is provided, from kitchen and dining equipment to enough outside chairs to seat everyone when we made use of the large gas barbecue. We had 9 ages between 16 and 25 so the outdoor space was second to none. They loved the garden with games, the pool and table tennis tables and, of course, the hot tub. I don’t think we will beat this on our next get together so could well return. You will not be disappointed.

What an amazing week, the property was exceptional we were a party of 13 and all the bedrooms were beautiful vand the seating area for food and relaxing was ample.

If holiday rental owners need an example to follow they should visit Trevase Cottages. Theirs is the standard all others should strive to reach. Ideal location in either the Granary or Penblaith, amazing accommodation, helpful hosts. For a family get together ranging from 4 to 81 these wonderful barns lack nothing. Perfect.

This was our second stay at Trevase Granary. We came back here because finding anywhere as well equipped, comfortable and welcoming as Trevase is exceedingly difficult. Had the best weekend ever for my sister's hen do. Great value and amazing facilities which was exactly what we wanted.
Amy was lovely and really helpful and all the girls who came for the weekend said what amazing job I'd done finding this place - obviously I can't take all the credit! The hot tub and outdoor area was great and we were able to spend most of the weekend outdoors as we were really lucky with the weather. Saying that, even spending the whole weekend indoors would still have been fabulous. Loads of fridge space and every bedroom was en-suite which made it really easy to have everyone there even if they didn't know each other that well. There's even a lovely pub down the road that we went to for Sunday lunch. Couldn't recommend it highly enough and will definitely be back if events allow!

Had a wonderful relaxing family holiday at Trevase Granary!! The owners were very friendly and helpful and even offered to show some of our group round the farm. The accommodation was very luxurious with nice crisp cotton bedding and feather duvets and was equipped with everything we could possibly need. The games room and hot tub were a big attraction with everyone. Good location for visiting the surrounding towns and villages and a lovely farm shop just down the road. This was our third annual family holiday and the accommodation was by far the best we've had, would highly recommend to large groups!

This was the best appointed house in several years of holiday home rentals. Trevase Granary is a large very comfortable house in a beautiful setting and the additional facilities including games complex and hot tub and beautiful gardens make this house unique. The house is beautifully furnished and the kitchen is fully equipped for catering for a large party. The generous welcoming hamper consisted of delicious and useful items, including cake and homemade flapjacks and bottles of applejuice. It's unique location on a working farm amidst the beautiful Hereford countryside is quite special and the owners were very pleasant and welcoming.

Trevase Granary was the perfect home for 3 generations to celebrate my Mum's 80th birthday.
This spacious house has everything you need from high chairs to stair lifts, cling film to 2 dishwashers!
The separate indoor games room and hot tub was a brilliant addition. Noisy teenagers had great fun over there and didn't disturb anyone else.
The friendly owners have converted this barn to a high spec and all furniture and fittings are in good order and cared for.
If you are looking for accommodation to suit a large number of couples this also would be a great place with the layout of the bedrooms.
Only downside is there is not a pub in walking distance but we really didn't want to venture out of this lovely house.
A quick and easy drive to Symonds Yat if you want to walk, canoe or go on the river boats along the Wye.
I would highly recommend Trevase Granary.

Stayed at Trevase Graary for a long weekend with a group of 12 friends who go away in February every year. There are three children in our group...now teenagers ..so we were looking for somewhere with a bit more too keep them happy. Trevase Granary is our favourite place to stay we've found to date. It really is spacious with two fantastic lounges, a large sociable kitchen , fabulous dining room and lovely ensuite bedrooms. I feel that, in comparison to other places we have stayed, Trevase Granary is great value for money. The activity barn with table tennis , pool and of course the hot tub, was a huge success. Sitting in the tub on Sunday evening watching the most gorgeous sunset was just perfect. The location on the working farm was an added bonus and we truely felt like we'd got away from it all, even though it's really accessible. Everyone who helped arrange our stay was lovely and helpful and we hope to return again in the future. Many thanks.

We were a family party of 16, ages 1-72. The Granary was beautiful. We had everything we needed, and the place was spotless. We all commented on how comfortable the beds were!
We also had the treat of seeing a calf that was only one day old, and some lambs on the farm, which was lovely for the children.
We would definitely recommend it.

Trevase Granary proved to be an excellent choice to hold my husband's 80th birthday celebrations. Plenty of room to accommodate both adults and young children. Loved that all the bedrooms were en-suite and that there was ample space for everyone to relax - young and old! We had outside caterers, Ox and Origin, for the celebratory dinner; they did us proud. The extra large dining table was much appreciated as it accommodated 14 of us with room to spare. I'm sure all the party would agree with me highly recommending the venue.

We were on a hen do with 18 'hens', between the ages of 35 and 75.
The house was beautiful! It was comfortable, very well equipped and in a stunning location- very peaceful!
It was lovely to arrive to a basketful of goodies, a great surprise!
The hot tub and games room, with the beautiful garden, made the weekend for us. There was something for everyone, whether relaxing in the hot tub, playing a game of pool or table tennis, or simply sitting in a comfy chair having a chat with a glass of wine.
Each bedroom was immaculate, and the beds were really comfortable enabling everyone to have a good nights sleep.
The people who rent the house were very friendly and helpful, we couldn't of asked for more.
The house completely exceeded all our expectations and we would all love to visit again with family and friends.

The weekend break was to celebrate a special birthday with family and friends. This property was chosen primarily as it could accommodate our numbers and for the games room and hot tub. The property is in a rural location with lovely views. The granary itself is beautiful and the standards of furnishings are good including the bed linen and towels. As a group of old friends we get together each year for a weekend and Trevase Granary has got to be the best place we have rented so far. It ticked all the boxes for facilities, it was very clean and the owners were very welcoming. The space in the barn has been used very well and the old building hides the 21st century luxury inside. Just returned from a wonderful family weekend at Trevase Granary celebrating my Mum's 90th birthday.The barn was spotlessly clean & very well equipped with everything needed to cater for a large party. Plenty of seating for us all to be together but also easy to find a spot for a quiet moment. We all enjoyed the games room,hot tub and garden with a fantastic view and beautiful sunsets!
Jan & Liz from Cakes & Catering came and cooked us a fantastic 3 course roast dinner with the best crackling I have tasted and desserts to die for - highly recommended.

We celebrated our Golden Wedding at Trevase Granary with our family which consisted of 12 & 15 year old through to grandparents in their 70's. We all had a great time, the granary was so well equipped and comfortable and there was enough space for us all to get together or spend quiet times on our own.
We had a celebratory meal on the Saturday, catered for by a chef recommended by Trevase. The food was lovely and the grand table in the dining room made it a real occasion.
The games room is not only equipped with activities but also dish washer, fridge freezer, crockery etc so that we didn't need to keep going back to the house for drinks, or carry washing up to and fro. The hot tub was a great success and the view from it quite stunning.
We would love to return there some day, who knows we might make it to our Diamond Wedding!

We stayed at Trevase Granary the weekend before Easter. We had a group of 16 adults and chose this particular location because we needed something for the men in the group to do on the Saturday for a 'big' birthday. They went off and took part in off road karting and paint balling, whilst the girls enjoyed the hot tub, a chick flick and afternoon tea.
The separate games room and hot tub was a hit with all. It meant people could either enjoy the celebrations or have some quiet tv time in the house without being disturbed.
On arrival we were presented with a lovely hamper of crisps, cake and apple juice.
All rooms were clean and suitable. I would say that some do not have a shower which would have been preferable for most of the group.
We visited No 3 in Hereford on the way in and The Bell at Skenfirth on Sunday for lunch, both highly recommended!
We were lucky to have fabulous weather and could enjoy the garden. We had a lovely stay.

We had a fantastic stay at Trevase Granary to celebrate my Grandma's 90th birthday. The Granary is kitted out to a very high standard and we had everything we could possibly need. The leisure suite is a particular bonus (especially for the children in our group) and the hot tub was amazing! We couldn't have asked for more!

Trevase Granary was the perfect venue for our family get-together (10 adults and 4 children). Liz was very efficient and friendly during the booking process. The information on the website was very informative, so we were able to plan our stay well. The barn has been converted to a very high spec. - ensuite bathrooms for every bedroom meant no queues, the kitchen has everything you could possibly wish for (2 dishwashers, 3 fridges, 2 freezers, and every implement you can think of!) and the two lounges were so comfortable. Every room is decorated with great taste and it was so good that we could all sit together. We booked an outside caterer (Max Waldron) from the list on the website and he provided us with the most delicious meal for the Saturday night. The children loved the fact that we faced the farmyard so they could see the bulls and lambs. The adults enjoyed the hot tub, we all joined in games of pool and table tennis in the games room or played outside in the walled garden area. It suited us perfectly and we enjoyed our weekend immensely. Thank you to Liz and her team for making us feel welcome.

Liz and Amy have high standards. The granary was perfect for our group. There is a wonderful relaxed atmosphere to the whole place. The games room and Jacuzzi are excellent for winding down and the enclosed courtyard was perfect for some touch rugby and cricket on one of the mornings we were staying. Cant recommend highly enough.

Great communal lounge and dining area. Bedrooms all very nice and all ensuite; just a slight shame there weren't showers, or shower attachments on the baths, in all the rooms.
Hot tub/games room was really nice and the open, garden space outside was perfect for the activities we had organised. We used Dandelion Events for archery and crossbows and would highly recommend them.
On the Saturday evening we had a huge and very tasty catered meal from Catherine & Paul (recommended on the granary website) and would highly recommend them too.
Overall everyone in the group had a really good time. Thank you.

Thank you for your feedback, Ian. Dandelion events did look like excellent fun and Catherine and Paul always do a super job. I'm afraid we would not be able to put shower attachments on the baths as water can be so damaging if not contained properly. Penblaith has more showers than Trevase and both options in some of the rooms which, if you wanted to return again, might suit your group better. All the best.

We go away every February as a family and this was the best accommodation we stayed in and catered superbly for the 4 generations present.

It was easy to be a family and home cook and play games and the children did not want to come home. The farmer did a brilliant tour of the farm on our last day too. We had lots of info on places to go and eat and the Red Lion catered for our party and food was excellent.

Would not hesitate to go back again and hope we can be accommodated next year.

We've been renting properties for our large group for a few years now, so we have quite a bit of experience. Trevase was all that we expected and had looked forward to. The bedrooms were comfortable, the kitchen well equipped and the dining room and sitting rooms perfect for us to enjoy time together as well as separately. Liz could not have been more amenable and approachable. We were very interested in the insight into the working of the farm when Liz gave us a guided tour. The location is very good as it feels away from it all while being relatively near to pubs and Ross-on-Wye. We would recommend Trevase Granary as an excellent location to explore Herefordshire and the Welsh Borders.

An ideal venue for our large family get together at Christmas. Christmas decorations and welcoming hamper were much appreciated. Two large reception room and games room provided plenty of space for multiple activities at the same time.

What a beautiful location and cottage. The bedrooms are all en-suite and extremely well appointed and equipped. The kitchen is the bet equipped I have ever seen at a cottage, with two doshwashers, two fridges, ample cupboard and preparation space. The house itself is spacious and comfortable. We even received a welcome hamper with gorgeous locally produced apple juice and snacks to set us on our way!
I cannot recommend this cottage highly enough.

We find it difficult to locate large cottages with enough rooms and bathrooms at a decent quality for our regular meetings, but this place certainly for the bill well. Everyone loved the layout and great spaces. The only downside is that soundproofing didn't seem present, as any movement and noise easily travelled to the floor below (making it hard for some to sleep if others were still up and/or children were running around). However, it wasn't a major issue and we would return again.

We would recommend that if you have young children with earlier bedtimes that you locate them in some of the other five bedrooms rather than the three rooms under the oak floored dining room as they do suffer from some noise especially if people are wearing shoes. Probably the best would be on the second floor or the Cider family suite on the ground floor for children. We are pleased you enjoyed your time here and would look forward to seeing you again. This venue proved to be an excellent choice and it would be hard to be critical with any aspect of the accommodation. For a large group it provides excellent comfortable accommodation, which is exceptionally well equipped for those who wish to self-cater. We would certainly consider Trevase Granary again for a similar event. A number of our guests who are quite discerning about such matters were very complimentary about the facilities and took away the details with a view of hiring it themselves at some point in the future. Having stayed with similar sized groups else ware, Trevase Granary is by far and away the best we have stayed in.

With 8 adults (1 in a wheelchair) and 9 kids (from age 1 to 10) this was a great place to have a family gathering. The barn was brilliant and had plenty of room for all including a wet room and stair lift for my mum in the wheelchair. There was also always somewhere to go for some peace! The games room was an added bonus and as we had such great weather for late October was lovely to have the kids playing outside in a safe location. We found plenty to do in the area and would recommend a stay to anyone.

Stayed at the Trevase Granary for two friends 30th birthdays. We stayed 12 adults and 6 children/babies. The house and facilities were amazingly child/baby friendly. Stair gates, travel cots, highchairs, toy boxes, I could go on! Amazing house, the best Garden and games room (spent everyday there!).

All I can say is good praise for this place and it's owners and the warm welcome we received. Even a huge pamper basket was there to welcome us!!

We wanted a place which would accommodate 16 members of our family including children and Trevase Granary met all our expectations.... The accommodation was fantastic and suited everyone, space to chill if that's what you wanted and room enough to celebrate!!!!, as this was my wife's 60th birthday.... The large dining table fit everyone around without being squashed and we enjoyed all our meals at the table which were made by members of our family in the well stocked and superb kitchen. All the bedrooms were fabulous and extremely comfortable and as I struggle with stairs there was a chair lift to take me up and down from the first floor with ease. Adults and children alike loved the brilliant games room as well as time relaxing in the superb hot tub. I fully recommend Trevase Granary if you want to have a celebration and you will not be disappointed. We stopped over the Easter Weekend (3 nights) but wish we had booked for the week....

Fantastic for large groups. The rooms were good sizes and all had en suites and TVs so provided welcome space from the larger group when required! The space for the group was great too, a well equipped kitchen and two living rooms. The games room and hot tub were amazing, with an extra fridge, kitchen and bathroom. All set on a working farm and beautiful countryside- there were great views from every window. The only downside was the games room and garden were across the yard from the house so those with small kids couldn't stay with the group once the kids were in bed due to the intercoms not working that far away. In the lower bedrooms you could hear people upstairs walking around quite a lot. However, overall we all really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again!

Our family, two grandparents, six parents and six children aged between 8 and 21, come every year and appreciate the welcome and support from the owners and all the facilities of this very well equipped property, in particular the spacious games room and enclosed garden with large gas barbecue and the stairlift and wet room and hep with meeting the needs of the disabled. The granary is very comfortable and well equipped and there is plenty for everyone to enjoy in the area, castles, pubs, tea shops, abseiling, caving, go-ape, cycling, kayaking and lovely rural scenery.

What a find! The Granary is vast with beautiful rooms and everything you could think of. The Games barn is just perfect with the best view of the sunset! We had a brilliant time and would certainly return and recommend.

I booked trevase for a corporate event and we had a fantastic time, the facilities were first class and the attention to detail was first class. I would recommend this place to anyone hosting a large party of people. The party room and use of the barbecue facilities were an added bonus.

A fantastic place to stay for large groups. Top spec accommodation. All rooms are beautifully presented and there is nothing that the cottage doesn't provide. The games room / hot tub building is fantastic for all ages and the views over the countryside are beautiful. The owner, Liz, provided good communication leading upto our stay and was on hand if we needed anything during our stay. Wouldn't definitely recommend this property.

Trevase provided an ideal venue to accommodate grandparents, parents, teenagers and babies with a 70 year age range.

All the facilities were appropriate and the large well equipped games room was well used.

The hot tub was popular and the view from it was superb.

The children were enthralled with the activities of a real working farm.

We went to Trevase for my 50th birthday weekend. There were 8 couples and we all had plenty of room. Everyone commented on how comfy the beds were and how lovely the rooms are, but beware in the upstairs 3 rooms - each has a big beam so you need to duck down! I had not realised the cottage was on a working farm, but that added an interesting edge to the weekend. The games room is across the farmyard. It is a fantastic space, wonderful hot tub and stunning walled garden with views. We sat in the hot tub and watched the sun go down.
The living accommodation is all on the first floor, a wonderful dining room with leather sofas for sitting around chatting. Then there is a separate TV room and a massive, very well equipped kitchen.
Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend.

Eighteen of us stayed at the Granary for three nights. The house was beautiful, and amazingly well equipped. Considering the number of us, we didn't feel on top of each other as the house was so spacious. The hot tub and games room were the icing on the cake. We had an amazing weekend!

We stayed here with all the family for my wife's 30th. We had 6 children with us and they also loved it, especially the games room! They had plenty of toys and games for children and the garden has stunning views too! All the rooms were beautiful with all the facilities you need. Everything had been thought of and there was lots of information provided too! The house was lovely and warm and very peaceful to say your on a farm! It was nice to have enough parking, we had 6 cars but you could have had more. We will definitely be back but we would also like to try their other house, we are looking to book next year. Overall there was nothing to fault and we all felt in luxury and had an amazing time!!!

We rented Trevase Granary for a long weekend in December to celebrate my 30th birthday. From the extremely detailed pre-booking correspondence beforehand to the stunning property itself, everything was absolutely brilliant. When we arrived we couldn't believe how beautiful everything was: Liz and her team had decorated the whole place with Xmas decorations (xmas trees and everything!) and every room had huge, very comfortable beds. Every room also has its own bathroom which made things so easy when it came to getting everybody ready for racing on the Saturday. The kitchen is enormous and kitted out with everything we needed to cook for a huge group of people. The dining room has a huge long table which was ideal for the party. The last guests standing ended up in the hot tub quite late at night (sorry about that...) and we had absolutely everything we needed for the best weekend. We even had a welcome basket full of local treats. Would recommend whole heartedly for the best holiday accommodation in the county.

Our family of 14 all had a fabulous time at Trevase Granary. I cannot fault anything, very well equipped very comfortable and in a beautiful area. The owners are fabulous and do everything to make your stay as good as possible.
Have stayed previos year in Penblaith Barn which is their sister property and would recommend that as highly.

We absolutely loved our recent stay at trevase granary. There was plenty of room for everyone in the cottage and loved the games room, hot tub and garden. We couldn't believe the hospitality of the owners with the massive hamper that was left. And they soon rectified the issue that we ran out of gas for the BBQ! An amazing cottage and can't wait to return!

Just spent a great week at trevasse. 4 families all with youg children (aged 10months to 8 years) lots to do for everyone.amazing games room and outdoor area, and we spent a great day just relaxing In the walled garden with games, tabletennis, barbecue.

This was our third stay with this company, our second time at Trevase Barn. Once again we had a great time, the barn is perfect for a family break, we were 8 adults and 7 children and all appreciated the excellent facilities. Friends stayed nearby and joined us for meals - plenty of china,glass etc for all of us. The guided farm walk was a really interesting bonus. Top marks to Liz and her team for maintaining such high standards and making all her visitors welcome. We may well return but the family would like to explore a different area of England - I am sure we will be hard pressed to find better accommodation anywhere.

This was our second stay @ Trevase Granary and once again Liz exceeded our expectations. The property is well suited to large groups or families and it is well maintained. We had a fantastic weekend with friends in this beautiful house. It was immaculately clean and everything had been catered for. Loads of equipment in the kitchen for our catered dinner and even toys for the one baby that we had with us. The hot tub is amazing with views over the countryside. We had not seen on the description that it is in the middle of a working farm which we were fine with but it should be mentioned. Very comfortable and would definitely recommend.

We stayed last weekend at Trevase Granary and can't sing it's praises enough. What a beautiful location & property. My 1 & 3 year old nephews spent the weekend enraptured by the farm animals, my 18 & 21 year old sister & brother barely got out of the hot tub, my 6 month old daughter was entertained by the supplies of toys in the granary & games room and the rest of us were spoilt for choice ... Do we cook, read, play table tennis, go for a picturesque walk, or just enjoy the amazing tranquility that Trevase offered us! Thank you Amy, we will be back!

A wonderful property and location for our family. We were celebrating a 70th birthday so the ages in our party ranged from 1 year to 92 years young. This property catered for all of us - with the downstairs bedrooms and stair lift (not necessarily used by the 92 year old!) The property was extremely clean and had everything (and more) than we expected. Plenty of parking as there were several cars. The games room was an added bonus and we enjoyed the games and hot tub.

As a large family group from 80+ to 18 Trevase Granary was the perfect location to get together for Christmas. The booking process was easy with regular communications from Liz (the owner) in the run up. The Granary is fitted out to an excellent standard throughout with all of the bedrooms being comfy and clean and well appointed.

The large dining room/ lounge is the main social space with a very handy get away in the TV room at the end of the building. The kitchen is very well fitted out but on the small side for a large group... but we still coped so not a problem and easily made up for by the rest of the house.

The location is superb, with views across to the Black Mountains and plenty of fresh air and space to move (the night sky is fantastic... if you are into stars, take your telescope, very little light pollution... we even managed to see Father Christmas race across the sky on Christmas eve). Hereford and Ross on Wye are an easy drive away as well as many of the region's tourist attractions.. although you can happily walk straight from the house. We recommend Oliver's Cider Farm if you are hunting out local produce...

The games room provides an extra space to enjoy with the table tennis and pool table keeping our "youngsters" entertained... The Hot Tub provides a great focus and was well used, especially on Christmas Eve...

The Granary is on a farm, there are plenty of country noises and smells, but that is part of the charm and never a problem. Liz and her family were great hosts, available if needed but never intrusive and I would thoroughly recommend you take up their offer of a tour around their farm...it is really interesting. for people of all ages.... the newborn Lambs being a firm favourite.

I would recommend Trevase Granary as a holiday location, but not for Christmas...as we are intending to book that week again!

We booked Trevase Granary to celebrate my husband's surprise 50th Birthday. There were 10 adults, 6 teenagers and 3 children. The website had us all excited at what we were in line for and the real thing was even better. The facilities are second to none. Everything has been carefully thought through, 2 fridges and 2 dishwashers in the kitchen, cupboards filled with every utensil you could possibly need. The toiletries in every en suite bathroom. The beds and bedding were the most comfortable I have ever slept on. Although we were a large group there is so much space in the barn that solitude could be sought if needed. The dining room is the ideal space for a large gathering. The information provided by the owners on the local area is invaluable. The males in our group followed the planned walking routes which all managed to take in local pubs! Not that us ladies complained as we were able to avail of the hot tub! The children and teenagers were kept amused by the games room and their own TV lounge that adults were not allowed to use! We had a thoroughly relaxing enjoyable week at the granary and were very sad to be coming home.

The Granary was lovely other than the upstairs bedrooms. The beams were a bit of a hazard and it became a bit wearing ducking under them.
One comment I would like to make is that the cooker gas switches were very easy to turn on and one guest accidently brushed against it turning it on. I was the only person to notice the smell of gas which could have been a bit of a hazard. I thought I should bring this to your attention for safety reasons. However we really enjoyed our stay and the granary is beautiful.

As you know, we like to do everything to make our guests feel as much at home as possible and don’t like to bombard you all with health and safety signs everywhere. However, we will be looking into this. As regards to the beams, we are very sorry to hear that it had an impact on your stay. We are truly a barn conversion and are very proud that the original Eighteenth Century oak beams remain intact to keep the roof in place. Removing them would have taken away from the charm and unique features that many people love but we padded them with leather to try and keep heads safe! If you do come to stay with us again, as we would love to welcome you back, be sure to secure yourself one of the five ground floor rooms or try Penblaith Barn!
