A family and friends get together to celebrate a number of milestone birthdays in 2025. From booking to check out the whole experience was first class. The variety of accommodation available was ideal for our multi generational group, bedrooms that were kindly tailored to individual needs and wonderful entertainment spaces accessible to all. Lorna's assistance throughout was great, not just making sure everything on site was in order but also in recommending 3rd party services such as catering and entertainment to help make our stay truly memorable. Amazing house with stunning views. The property has everything you would need for a large group, including a heated swimming pool with beautiful landscape. My favourite spot was the fully equipped Bar - just bring your drinks. The hosts are very good , flexible and kept great communication throughout. We had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend Higher Wiscombe cottages.
This accommodation is fantastic. The facilities are superb and the location is beautiful. Would recommend 100%.
The annexe itself overall was good, I think their were some areas that needed a little more thought, as in leaving visitors some milk, bread & butter, & box of 6 eggs maybe as a welcome pack, we did get coffee, tea, & biscuits, which was fine. Also the sofa was flat & uncomfortable, & the side tables seemed to be so out of place ( abit basic) for a luxury accommodation, especially when you see the rest of the annexe with the bath & the bed, which are spectacular! We all had an incredible stay at The Winery - certainly one of our best holidays. The accommodation is excellent, all furnishings are laid out perfectly, and facilities are 5-star. The main floor has everything in the right place to host a large group - kitchen, dining, bar, access and viewing to outdoor and BBQ area. Seldom does the accommodation meet the expectations of photos, but this place exceeded our expectations and was exactly akin to the photos, if not better. Fabulous accommodation and beautiful location, we absolutely loved our stay at Flint Cottage. There was everything you could possibly need, the pool schedule worked well, meaning all guests could get a private session. Very dog friendly. The configuration of the cottages meant you were not overlooked by anyone else and had your own private garden, we spent bank holiday weekend there, when it was at full capacity, yet we hardly saw another person, so very peaceful. A nice location. We personally found it a bit worn and having stayed in 5 star properties, would probably rate this as 4 star. The owners are great, but the property could do with a few upgrades. Overall a good stay but we would be looking for more for the price. We would recommend a different way to book the swimming pool as we personally found the times quite restrictive.
