We had three nights at the Otby Lake Boat House and it was superb. The house itself had everything you could need combined with the most breathtaking views from every window. The sauna was a brilliant addition and worked a treat after a day of fishing!

The peace and quiet was unlike anywhere else we've been - no noise or light pollution!

I would highly recommend for a break from the world.

Fabulous stay at Otby Lake Boat House. Communication beforehand was excellent. We stayed at the Otby Lake campsite the night before which was so quiet, fellow neighbours were the sheep.
The Boat House WOW, its location is stunning. The peacefulness and calm is so wonderful. The Boat House was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The sauna was a fantastic added extra. The boat was so much fun.
It was a celebration for our 34th wedding anniversary and we wanted something different, we got it. Honestly, we loved it from start to finish. We will definitely recommend. Thank you for letting us stay.

The boat house is a very special place l, from the minute you arrive it’s pure relaxation. The boat house is spotless and very tastefully decorated. The bed and bed linen is top notch and we will be returning very soon.

We had the most amazing 2 night stay at Otby boathouse. The setting is idyllic and the boathouse itself is fabulous . They have done it beautifully and attention to detail is perfection.
The weather was warm and sunny but I think it would be fantastic to stay there in the winter , so cosy with the log burner and sauna.
We loved it!

We had a lovely time celebrating my partners birthday at Otby Lake Boat House. It looked beautiful on the pictures and we were very excited for the boat and sauna but it still managed to exceed expectations. The hosts were really helpful and we felt very much looked after. We left feeling very relaxed and refreshed. Would definitely visit again!

Otby Lake Boat House was pure relaxing pleasure. The views & the silence - apart from birds & sheep in the back ground - are magical. Very calming to wake up to that lake view & watch the sun set over it in the evening.
Rowing the boat on the lake was fun too.
The sauna is a treat - again with the stunning views.
The boat house is beautifully decorated with everything you could need and spotlessly clean. Very comfortable bed with lovely bedding & towels. The food goodies on arrival were much appreciated too.
We had fabulous weather so ate each meal on the balcony which was a treat.
Some lovely local walks with pubs part way round to enjoy a drink or lunch too.
We were sad to leave this peaceful place and would definitely love to return again.

We stayed for a long weekend in July and were treated to a little slice of heaven! The swifts, swallow and house martins were a fascination and delight. Extremely well thought through accommodation that was so comfortable and just what we needed. We will be definitely be back

A perfect, secluded retreat away from the bustle of the everyday. Tucked next to a lake and surrounded by hills, you could be miles from anyway - with only the sounds of sheep and birds for company. The house was well kept and stocked, spotless and recently decorated, with nice little architectural considerations for framing views and big opening bifold doors to the terrace looking over the lake. The rowboat was a nice extra and the outdoor covered cooking/seating area was for private use in the evenings. Would recommend to anyone looking for a few days away from the connectivity of moden life and a chance to disconnect and recharge.

We had high expectations from the description of the Boathouse but the reality was even better. To be able to sit on the balcony over the lake with swallows and house martins swooping about us was such a privilege. We hardly saw any other humans, but lots of sheep and wildlife. The decor and finish is immaculate and stylish. Natalie was excellent in communication with clear instructions. We could not recommend this place enough and will be back if it is not fully booked out.

What a stunning place peaceful lots of wild life around, did get quite warm in the evening inside the boat house. The duvet was to thick and heavy for me but that’s personal preference and maybe it could of had a blind at the door leading out to sitting so there was some shade and it kept the boat house abit cooler, yet again personal preference.

It’s in a beautiful area countryside all around and it was well worth staying at with a boat to use and a sauna plus BBQ area what more could you ask for.

Tucked away by a picturesque lake, a perfect retreat. Natalie and Frank thought of everything. Accommodation outstanding. Sauna was very relaxing. We took advantage of the hampers offered - delicious. Mornings brought a gentle mist over the water and evenings were spent reflecting on the balcony admiring the sunset. The swallows didn’t fail to entertain. Hubby enjoyed fishing on the lake and I enjoyed the local walks - stunning scenery. We look forward to returning later in the year.
