We booked to stay here quite last minute to continue the celebrations of my 30th birthday and we were blown away upon arrival! We were not expecting to see the deer so close and the food in the lodge was a great added touch. Rob came up and spoke to us about the history of the property for a bit and showed us how to work the hot tub.
We thoroughly enjoyed our couple of nights here and wished we did not have to leave.
Another amazing stay. We absolutely love everything about Forest View Retreat. Lovely family run business, with fantastic communication. We haven't managed to find a single thing that we need whilst there, that they haven't thought off. It's the perfect place to unwind and get away from it all. So peaceful. Lodges are well presented, hot tub lush and of course sharing the space with all the deer that literally walk up to your back garden for deer food the owners leave for you to feed them. We booked all three lodges (Bluebell, Bramley, and Fern) to accommodate my immediate family for a special celebration - my wife's 60th birthday. The weekend was absolutely amazing. My wife and I have been staying annually at Bluebell Lodge since 2013, so having our entire family there was a fabulous experience. It felt a little unusual, but only in the best way! As always, the lodges were immaculate. The location is stunning, and the service provided by the hosts, Lucy and Rich, is exceptional. There’s nothing they won’t do to ensure you have a memorable and comfortable stay.
