This is a beautifully appointed apartment in excellent location right in centre of Clifden. The apartment is modern, bright, spacious and has all the facilities that one needs for a comfortable stay. It has been newly and very tastefully decorated with a subtle maritime theme. We really enjoyed our stay and would have no hesitation in rebooking. The staff at Connemara Lettings were also excellent and very helpful.
We spent a lovely week in Ballyconneely. The house was just perfect. Everything you needed was there. The views from each room were just stunning, the sea, mountains and sheep and ponies grazing outside the window.Big comfortable living room, lovely rooms upstairs with fantastic views, even from the beds. Very helpfull key holder lilian is there if you need anything. We hope to come back again.
This is a wonderful house …...plenty of outside space for children 3yrs and above to run around in. it is vey clean and spacious. the only drawback …..there is no washer/dryer...….which with children in Connemara is a necessity i think.
Fabulous little spot and pet friendly too, cottage was beautifully finished with great attention to detail! Our host Micheal was a pleasure to deal with , even greeting us with a home made focaccia bread we will most definitely be returning. Claire& Richard
This holiday home must rank among the best in Connemara. One counterargument: we wanted to stay longer but couldn't :-)
20 of us stayed at SUNNYBANK for a week to celebrate our Golden Wedding with an age range of 2 to 82. The house and surrounging area met with all our needs. The house provided excellent accommodation and amenities with plenty of room to accommodate our party. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their stay and would not hesitate to recommend SUNNYBANK to friends and family as a superb venue for a holiday or any celebration. Shane was most courteous and very helpful during our stay. Just wonderful!
We enjoyed a lovely stay at the end of August. The house is perfect and in a very quiet location with great hosts. It is a great location for touring beautiful Connemara and close to the ferry to the islands also.
I could not have stayed in a nicer place. It was very central to everything. I would recommend it to friends .
This is hands down the best holiday rental we have had in the west of Ireland. Everything about and in the house was of the highest standard. The fixtures and fittings were exceptional and the beds were far more comfortable than our other stays in Connemara. My parents-in-law joined my family of five here for a week and there was plenty of room for us all. The view from the dining room just made it - regardless of the weather. Many thanks to David for being so helpful with suggestions and the welcome food pack when we arrived. I would book this house again in a heartbeat,
We had a fantastic 2 week holiday based in Atlantic Sunset. We were able to witness several beautiful sunsets. Ideal location for anyone who enjoys walking, cycling, kayaking fishing etc. The house had every thing we needed and very friendly help near by if required. It's a small, but enjoyable walk to the nearest pub. Well worth a visit.
We felt extremely lucky to find this apartment after having to change our previous booking at another Clifden apartment at a fairly late stage. We were made to feel totally at home by the owner, who was warm, friendly and supportive- including leaving home made bread, oranges, bottled water and butter on our arrival as well as offering local tips. We had one slight problem which was entirely our own fault and owner was there straight away. The apartment was spacious, well equipped and very airy. It is literally two minutes walk from a great café, bar and restaurant, and only 5 minutes wa...more
Accomadation excellent.Beautiful views over Cleggan bay from our front door.Spectacular sunsets on two evenings.Very enjoyable stay.Spotlessly clean, comfortable and peaceful. Couldn’t Recommend it highly enough.
We had a fabulous stay at the Art House Clifden. From booking to departure, everything was seamless. The house itself was spotless & had absolutely everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Location was great only a few minutes walk into the town. I would recommend maybe taking some citronella candles or something to use in outdoor area depending on time of year as midges were unbelievable around everywhere but all in all our party were v impressed with the house, host & everything- we will definitely be back
We had a lovely few days with our family here. The house is cosy and kitchen very well equipped for cooking big meals. Hope to get back there soon.
Great if you're looking for peace and gorgeous landscapes. The house is cosy and set apart from civilization (but 45-minute drive to many beautiful places) The host, who lives only two houses away, is very welcoming and nice. We'll definitely stay there again if we can.
Best spot we have ever stayed at. Never been so relaxed completely switched off.Mary is an excellent host. Heaven on Earth
1 Courthouse Square was ideal week for my time in Clifden. The unit had all the amenities I could want, even outdoor space! The inside parking and elevator also came in very handy. It was clean and quiet. Highly recommend.
A great house, lots of room for a large group. The views are out of this world and change by the hour.Great having 3 living rooms.Beds are so comfortable.Well stocked kitchen, plenty of crockery.lots of hot water.Almost an hour walk on a narrow busy road to Clifden so car required.
Great place to stay in Connemara. Stunning location. Close to all the best sights. A fantastic experience fo all.
I loved my holiday in Clifden Court it was so modern and clean and had everything you could possibly need. Only problem was I only had a week...
We were so pleased with our stay in hillside house The house , facilities and location are fantastic. We look forward to to returning again in the future.
We stayed in 4 Clifden Quay for the second year in a row and again it didn't disappoint! This house is clean, bright, airy and spacious. The location is brilliant and the house is equipped with everything you might need. We are all particularly taken with the bean bags and the balconies! Can't recommend Clifden and Clifden Quay enough, would quite happily live in this house if I had a chance! Thanks to the team in Connemara Lettings for another great stay.
The property is in a gorgeous location and the views are amazing. The property itself was very comfortable. Our only criticism was we felt the en-suite bathrooms both needed a better cleaning and also the extractor fan in the kitchen. It would also be helpful if a couple of dishwasher and washing machine tablets were left in the house just to tide people over. We would have no hesitation in renting the property again.
A lovely comfortable private bungalow on the beach, lovely sea view with lots of garden space. A fully equipped kitchen, with new Smeg coffee machine. The saucepans and frying pans could be updated. The Barbeque outside could also be upgraded, if you are not bringing your own portable one. The large kitchen table is very suitable for large family dining.
Superb spacious comfortable clean peaceful house. Great outlook onto lake. Good base to explore Connemara and get away from it all. 19km to Clifden 9km to Roundstone 1km to nearest shop and bar Highly recommended.
Great and comfortable house in an unique location. We had a great stay. Very comfortable furniture not usual in a holiday home. Lovel¡y outdoor space
The house is super comfortable with everything one could need . The bedrooms and beds very comfortable. Sitting areas with superb views . The beach is a dream and super safe for my grandchildren . One couldn’t find better accommodation anywhere.
Our host could not have done more for us. Tina and Liam were very welcoming and had left us a welcome pack which was well received. She gave us a great surprise for dinner one evening of Cray Fish, The house was well kitted out and the outdoor furniture was great for the evening drinks (excluding the midgets). The house is a bit off the main Clifden Road but we found no difficulties in getting used to the road. .
Stunning location. Clean comfortable large rooms. Loads of communal space. Host very obliging and helpful.
Really enjoyed our stay. Expensive but available when we wanted and in our preferred area. Would book again.
I would highly recommend this cottage. A great location within 2 mins walk to town where we soon met the locals and bar staff who we were on first name basis but the end of the week! A lovely hotel serving thee best mussels and burgers also within a few mins walk and again the staff were absolutely lovely! A little restaurant called BlackBerry in the town does delicious seafood (still take away only when we stayed) and purple door cafe does a nice breakfast. The hosts were great and very informative and always on hand if I had a question. The location was perfect for visiting stunning beach...more
Would make use of this facility again and the host was very accommodating. The facility was clean and well equipped for the duration of the stay.
Really good house in great location Highly recommend this house No fuss with anything Owner very helpful
House was situated just off the N59 approx 20mins drive out of Clifton. Very remote area but the views from the house were just breath taking Situated beside another two dwellings No where to walk or run from the house unless you cross over the N59. The house was perfect for our extended family four bathrooms gave us all plenty of space, beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped for us to cook
Perfectly located holiday cottage. Local beaches, walks and pubs within easy reach of the cottage. Good for a family.
Great house in a peaceful location. Bit far out for some of the places we wanted to visit but we knew this before booking. Kathleen the owner was great, she responded to any questions we had and recommended some local things to visit which we really enjoyed. Balinrobe is only few mins away for shops and take aways etc.. all in all great time had.
Nora was a fab host from the outset. The house was spacious with plenty of living spaces to accommodate our group of 5 adults and 7 kids. Clean and well presented throughout with a small garden where we had breakfast in the sun! Ideally located within a short walk of the town, with supermarkets just minutes walk away so overall a great location. Only complaint (but not a reason we wouldn't go back) is the house is on a busy road with lots of noisy traffic.
This townhouse is centrally located, beautifully furnished, clean & very comfortable. It is situated over 3 floors above a rental shop style unit opposite the entrance to the Station House Hotel. Lots of free parking very close to the property with views over the Station House complex. We spent 5 nights in early September & enjoyed some quiet days wandering around the little shops & cafes of Clifden & on other days ventured further afield to explore to Kylemore Abbey (about 20 mins drive), Cleggan, Ballyconneeley & Roundstone. Glorious countryside with stunning colors of the natural flora & ...more
Met by Olive who was available at all times if needed. Thankfully we didn't have a problem. Very warm and friendly host. The house is spotlessly clean, very roomy, and has everything one would need, and more. Beds very comfortable. The views from the house would hold their own with anywhere in the world. Simply stunning. The area is quiet but with bars/restaurants a short drive away ( transport essential ). The nearby Glassinaun beach is pristine and the water crystal clear, set against the backdrop of majestic Mweelrea mountain. Great value for money and highly recommended. ...more
We spent a lovely week in Connemara, based in White Heather House. Gerard, the owner ,was veey nice and was promptly on hand to help us with any problems. The location is ideal, right in the centre of the town. The rooms were clean and the kitchen well stocked. Seating in the living area is limited for a large number of guests, which was the only draw back, however, if the weather is nice there is a lovely patio area to sit out on.
Lovely property with beautiful scenery and garden. Bedrooms are very comfortable and very well placed for short drive to gorgeous beaches and clifden and roundstone.
Very comfortable stay. House very clean. Bedrooms all good size. Living space/kitchen small but functional. Good value for money. If I was to pick a downside no services, shop etc within walking distance. But that's only a small downside.
Baybridge House was perfect for our holiday in Connemara. Excellent location. Magnificent views. Comfortable beds. We will definitely be back.
The recent stay at Helen's Hideaway in the town of Clifden was a good time. The self-catering apartment was delightful and the setting accommodating. The peaceful location and privacy superb. The apartment could not be better situated for the easy access into town, to the shops, banking facilities, and church for example. The changing tides and scenic views daily were a great treasure indeed, alongside nature at one's own doorstep. Mrs Ferguson's hospitality much appreciated and her kind approach gave a super welcome to a lovely stay at the cosy hideaway, that is, a place to be recommende...more
We had a lovely time in Clifden! The apartment is so central and clean, the hosts were very good to us and helpful. We will definitely be back!
we enjoyed our stay. 88888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888
The Spiddal cottage was in a very central location in Spiddal. The rooms were spacious and airy. It was very relaxing and comfortable in the house. I would highly recommend this house as an ideal base to discover the beauty of connemara and beyond. The host Patsy was a lovely lady and could be more helpful.
A group of 6 stayed at Lough mask holiday home and we had a fantastic week. Our host Kathleen was very welcoming and attentive throughout our stay. She gave us lots of information and ideas on where to go in the surrounding area including restaurant suggestions. We found all of her recommendations were really good and added to our holiday. Kathleen was always at the other end of the phone when we needed help for example when booking a boat trip and getting directions. We will definitely return again as it was the ideal location for touring and walking.
Quiet , stunning views and beautiful location. Lovely sitting on the rocks at the end of the garden.
Absolutely faultless - the comfort of the house and the views are stunning. 2 mins drive to renvyle beach with white sand and turquoise water even on a cloudy day. 3 mins drive from Paddy Coynes - for tasty food and great atmosphere. A perfect location to explore Connemara.
Wonderful stay in Ballyconneely at the end of August. Great location, within walking distance of Keoghs pub and supermarket. Great base for touring Connemara, and amazing beaches on your doorstep.
Great location, five minute walk into centre of Clifden which is a great town with nice shops and good quality bars and restaurants. It let itself down slightly on cleanliness in that the blinds in the living area were a bit sticky to the touch and the top of the cooker hood was covered with grease. On the whole I would recommend it.
Couldn't fault this house. Enjoyed the spacious interior and expansive beauty beyond. The endless sunsets. Wifi in the area is a problem but not an issue when away from it all for a week with lovely weather. The owner very helpful and diligent. Didn't want to leave!
We had a fantastic stay in Ballinakill Lodge. I would definitely stay there again. It was spotless and we had all the facilities we needed. The Landlord is a phone call away if you need anything. In a great location. 10 minutes drive from Clifden. 15 minutes from Kylemore Abbey and Connemara National Park. Glassilaun Beach and Dogs Bay are beautiful. Just bring a picnic as no shops or facilities there. Also did a trip to the aran Islands from Rossaveel. Wish I was still there.
Lovely house and brilliant location for sea swimmers, across from The Coral Strand. However, the house could have more furniture, washing line and kitchen equipment. Owner lovely.
Lovely house which is tastefully decorated. Good for families as it is well located in the town but very quiet. The garden is well kept and the kitchen well stocked though would recommend the frying pans are replaced. The fireplaces are open so will smell slightly dusty if you’re not used to that but the house itself is very clean.
2 families stayed 7 nights. Beautiful peoperty with everything you could need. The propieter was very helpful when needed but be honest everything is at hand. excellent location 10 minutes walk to the village which is delightful. Only a 15 min drive to Clifden if you need other provisions. Highly recommended.
Another enjoyable visit to Dolan. A full inventory of glasses & crockery & some demostic is required.
The house needed more mugs, and in fact i bought 6 additional mugs and left then behind as well as two new tea towels. My gift to Aggie! I threw the oven glove in the washing machine, as i suspect that it had never been washed. Also, the Toaster has seen better days. It was not clean and should be replaced. We would have appreciated a clothes horse. Sure we hung washing on the line, but given that this is Ireland, a clothes horse would be a great addition. We aired clothes in the entrance porch as it was such a warm spot. I understand that there is a tumble drier in the house, but thes...more
We were very pleased with our accommodation at No.7 Owen Glen. The house was very clean and equipped with everything that you would need. There were 6 adults in our group and the rooms provided great accommodation with bathrooms ensuite and lovely modern living room and seperate kitchen/dining.The location is excellent for exploring all the attractions around Clifden and only 5 minutes from town of Clifden.Highly recommend this accommodation...Only negative was the cost vis a vis value you would get for a city break in any European city.
The property was so clean and comfortable in all aspects. Kitchen very well equiped also. Showers were fantastic after our golfing trips. So we plan to stay here again if in Cliften as highly recommend this town house. Connemara lettings are very helpful and professional in their care of their clients.
Gorgeous location & great views, worn settee, no window blinds, felt like owners temp moved out as their stuff in drawers etc so not what we usually see in a holiday home, dangerous live exposed wire outside over front door, very bad damp in en suite downstairs bathroom. Sky box connected & remote left on coffee table but not available for guest use. Freezer full of someone else's food and completely iced up.
The house is in a fabulous location and has everything you might need. Although the decor may appear a little dated at first, the beds are comfortable, the rooms a good size, the shower is powerful and the kitchen well equipped. There is a large TV and Netflix for rainy days and outdoor furniture for sunny days. You are close to Roundstone, Gurteen Bay and Dogs Bay so there is plenty to do. We had a lovely week.
A really spacious, comfortable and well equipped house with stunning views over the bay. Great to have 4 en-suite bedrooms and a really bright and open living and dining space. The house had everything needed for a family stay along with an outdoor dining area. A bit of a distance to bars and shop in Roundstone so you’ll need a second driver if you want to have a few drinks out. Very friendly an efficient booking and welcome from the excellent hosts and can strongly recommend for a great stay in Connemara.
The property is even better than it appears on the website. It is larger, well equipped and while everything may not be new in condition everything has been carefully considered to make your stay as wonderful as possible. There are several spaces available for a family with three boisterous boys to find their own niche to escape into. More than a holiday base, it's an enjoyable place to spend a day if the weather is poor, although we only had one rainy day across the fortnight. Far enough away from the road to enjoy peace and quiet, early morning birdsong and some beautiful views from the pati...more
Absolutely beautiful house in the perfect location. Spotlessly clean and comfortable with amazing views of the sea. John looks after it so well and was incredibly kind to us making sure we were happy during our stay. Highly recommend it.
Nice beaches nearby! Cute town of Clifden, short drive. Decent shopping and nice restaurants with fresh seafood, really good! Cottage was clean with all necessary amenities. I would suggest new bedwear and linens/towels. Great peace and quiet for a good rest.
The Cottage is extremely comfortable, spacious and very well equipped in every respect. The bedrooms are beautifully presented and on arrival we were delighted to find a bottle of Prosecco and home baked bread awaiting us, as well as a welcome note offering any assistance required. It is in an excellent location for exploring Connemara and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We had a beatiful Holiday! Everything was ok! The Location is Perfect, also the Service of Connemara Lettings
The attention and care from the staff at the station house from check in to check out was just exceptional. The apartment was more like a house than an apartment there was one bedroom downstairs and two located upstairs. It was very spacious and safe, I've a 14 month old who was in her element exploring the place. Would highly recommend this great for families
Spent a week here in August (family of 4). The location was excellent (On the main street when you walk out the door.) Private secure parking another excellent addition. Also a car charge point in the public car park for hybrid/electric cars. Has all the amenities you could require. The apartment itself is a good size and in good condition. Some small fixes required (Storage heater in hall needs securing, shower screen seals gone) but not deal breakers. I would stay here again and recommend it.
We had a nice stay in a spacious two bed house. It was well located with nice views from the sun room. Condition was generally good except for the suite of furniture. Armrest on chair was completely torn and the suite was very old & tired looking in general. Veronica the key holder was very helpful and overall I would be happy to recommend to friends.
We had a comfortable stay, a perfect location for a peaceful break and the cottage had everything we needed.
Perfect location for a stay cation family holiday. Close to the gorgeous town of Clifden and some fabulous beaches. Perfect house for families as it has a football pitch, crazy golf, playground and tennis courts on site. Pity that the club house (with bar) was closed but this could be because of the Covid crisis.
A very comfortable cottage with everything we needed with a fantastic view/location. Plenty of homely touches. Good WiFi. Well stocked.
The living area and kitchen were nice but the back bedrooms could do with some updating. They felt damp and let the property down compared to the other areas. Some work could also be done on the storage / wardrobes for the price. Good location but worth noting that you couldn’t really walk to clifden, the road is too busy. Nice outdoor terrace and the kitchen contains everything you could need.
We absolutely loved our stay. The house was cosy and clean, a perfect base from which to explore its stunning surroundings.
A few days before we arrived we were informed stop the bar restaurant and Spa would be closed due to covid. This was disappointing to say the least. However we decided to proceed with our booking. Marion, the only staff member on site, was very helpful but several things were missing such as no wine opener, only one small tablet of soap for the two bathrooms. This was rectified after a day. The location is great, the accommodation pleasant but the kitchen could have been better equipped for example a chopping board would have been helpful also salt and pepper.
We had a wonderful time in this generously spaced apartment. It’s wonderful location made the stay very pleasant.
House was in the heart of Clifden. But unfortunately we had two bedrooms that where damp.Power shower broke which left us with one hot shower for 10 people. House wasn't clean, we needed to buy cleaning products and give it a good clean which didn't help with the damp smell in the downstairs bedrooms. Very disappointed because it nearly ruined the family holiday.
Beautiful house so close to the beach while h was like having your own private one, Brian the owner was great very nice and helpful. Had a great family holiday, enough room for everyone. Will be back again
Our group of 6 (4 adults and 2 kids) stayed here for a week and really enjoyed the house and bay. The area is remote, which was what we wanted. We spent most days on paddle boards exploring the bay and hanging out with the local seals. We also used the house as a base for exploring southern Connemara, which has lots to explore and many activities to do. The house itself is huge with loads of rooms. We used the Sauna daily which is great and spent mornings in the conservatory and evenings in front of the fire. The only complaint I would have was the condition of the house. Although perfectly fi...more
The owners, location, parking and wifi were great. We found the smell in the bedrooms overpowering, we think it was due to the chimneys needing a sweep. The wind had also got up so that didn't help. The second bedroom smelt damp. The kitchen was compact but we were only there for a week so got used to it. As others have stated, the bathroom was quite large. We were assured we could light the stove in the sitting room but thought that it may contribute to the smell that was already there. Overall it was comfortable but we wouldn't stay there again. The couple who owned it were really frien...more
I need to say first that the caretaker Sarah was very nice and did her best to help us. But there are two big problems with this house, and a few small ones. The first big problem is that you can't control the heating yourself. It is controlled remotely by a handyman. There were times he was very responsive; other times we waited for our requested changes to be acted on. Regardless, it would be easier for everyone if the guests could control the heating themselves. The second big problem is the outdoor space. It is unfinished, rough, untidy and takes away from the property itself. I had speci...more
The house is a nice size and has a lovely view over a river. It is about 10 minutes drive to Clifden and 5 minutes or so to Claddaghduff and the beautiful Omey island. It is in an isolated area on a fast road so local walking is not an option and it is c. 4 km to the nearest shop/pub/restaurant. The house is well equipped with cooking utensils and crockery but many of the dishes are chipped. The cooker is ok but has seen better days. The shower head was taped together with insulating tape making it very awkward to use. Main complaint was the mattresses. These are very poor and you can feel ev...more
We had a lovely time in Clifden but felt the house could do with some upgrades especially with the price paid. We are aware it was previously a b&b which suited that set up, but not great for a large family - more thought needed for putting on market for holiday letting - split kitchen, not enough cutlery, plates, chairs, towels, some beds not acceptable eg attic room with single bed & futon - we ended up putting mattresses on the floor. Window broken in attic room and some blinds stuck which were fixed immediately by two very nice maintenance men, 6 hours loud strimming of grass when we requ...more
