Very clean place. Very friendly owner of the house. Broadband,Netflix, YouTube. You can feel like on your own house. Not far away from Clifden. Nice place to stay.
We had a lovely few days staying in App.2. It was comfortable, had great facilities and was spotlessly clean, in a beautiful location, perfect for exploring Connemara. I would highly recommend this accommodation.
20 of us stayed at SUNNYBANK for a week to celebrate our Golden Wedding with an age range of 2 to 82. The house and surrounging area met with all our needs. The house provided excellent accommodation and amenities with plenty of room to accommodate our party. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their stay and would not hesitate to recommend SUNNYBANK to friends and family as a superb venue for a holiday or any celebration. Shane was most courteous and very helpful during our stay. Just wonderful!
We loved this holiday home, it was stunning, a beautiful house is a magical location. Everything about it was perfect
We had a great stay at Sycamore Cottage. We had stayed in different places on three previous trips but this was the best. There was just the two of us and Bruce the dog. The cottage looked great on the website and we were not disappointed. The cottage was spotless and had everything you might need. The bed was comfy and the heat from the Staney stove in the kitchen was incredible and warmed the whole place. The location was perfect just five mins drive to Clifden and two mins of this is down a small laneway. The dog loved meeting the donkeys and horses further down the lane. We got the Netflix...more
Pier View House is a beautiful holiday home and we loved our stay here. Even before you arrive you know it's special; the location right by the pier has breathtaking views across Bunowen Bay. The parking is great, comfortably fits 5 cars. The host is very friendly and the house had everything you would need on arrival, from fresh milk, bread, coffee and tea to laundry detergent, toilet rolls, and more than enough towels and spare bedsheets. The kitchen is fully equipped, including an airfryer. The house is spotlessly clean and beautifully finished- it really is a home away from home. All the...more
Stunning apartment, beautifully decorated in a great location for exploring north Connemara and Inishbofin island. Th village of Clegan is picturesque, a range of options for food and a beach a few mins away. We enjoyed live music in the local pub during our stay. We will definitely return to the property again.
Lovely house in peaceful location. Clean with all the facilities for a wonderful stay. Good size rooms with 2 ensuites and a main bathroom. Owners were very accommodating and helpful. Even drove us to and from Clifden so that we could enjoy a night out
This holiday home must rank among the best in Connemara. One counterargument: we wanted to stay longer but couldn't :-)
This cottage is in an ideal location. On the beach with wonderful views of the sunset. Very private. Michael and Grace are perfect hosts. The cottage is well equipped and very cosy. The bedroom arrangement is a little quirky. The rear bedroom has a low ceiling so the bed is on the floor but comfy. The front bedroom is accessed via a loft ladder. Not something we wanted to challenge after a few gin & tonics. Overall a wonderful cottage, lovely location with perfect hosts. We will be returning. Thank you.
Myself and my family really enjoyed our stay in Kill house. For an old grand house it was so warm and comfortable and we had to turn the heat down at the rads! The kids loved the size of the house and all the space for hide and seek . We had a fabulous 5 days
We had a wonderful stay in the log cabin despite the weather. It was such a quirky place to stay and we felt quite priveleged. The cabin is tiny but manageable and the log fire keeps the whole place warm even in gales and storms!! The local pub was friendly and warm and serves excellent food and is less than ten minutes walk awy. The Mweenish islands have beautiful sandy beaches and the first one is 2.2 miles and is a pleasant walk. The views are stunning and on rainy days the drive around the coastal roads are well maintained and quiet.
The house is in an exceptionally quiet area and is equipt to the highest standard. The playroom worked wonders, both kids and adults got a break from each other. I would highly recommend this place if you want to use it as a base for exploring the west or perhaps as a place to just unwind.
Beautiful property, great location and absolute gem of a host in Pearl. Only issue was not having the 2nd shower operational.
The house well equipped. Floors under beds not properly cleaned. Long grass under clothesline needs cutting.
From the moment we arrived the owner was relaxed and informative for everything in the house and after where to go for music ,food and some very good tips .The first evening we were tempted out by the sound of fiddle playing that was drifting in the window from across the street…it was a fantastic evening..We ate out every evening,..but the supermarket is 3 doors down..One of the nicest parts of house is that he balcony overlooking the inlet.. in a nutshell “You won’t be disappointed and you will not forget it “ Thankyou for a fantastic stay .. we will be back . Regards Keith
Our holiday was most relaxing. Enjoyed the patio with a 360 degree view of the most spectacular views. Walking to the seaside along side the horses and cows was unexpected, but looked for our four legged friends daily. The home is equipped with everything you would need and more.
Loved our stay here - beautiful property, spotless & well maintained, great location as a few minutes drive to Clifden & all the buzz of the town, to return to the cottage & tranquillity, nothing but the sound of the birds! Comfy beds, spacious & plenty of natural light in the cottage. Will return!
Apartment location was perfect for our needs the secure parking was essential due to the high volume of traffic and low number of town parking spaces. The apartment was very well furnished and very clean, instructions left by the owner helped with the initial settling down process I visit Clifden regularly and would definitely rent this apartment again
A fantastic house, in a great location, on edge of village, near local shops , garage , pub & restaurant with gorgeous sea views. House had spacious rooms, was very comfortably furnished, well maintained & very well equipped. Everything we required was there & more… In particular we really appreciated the food provided to welcome us on the first day, I.E. scones, butter, jam, tea & coffee & milk. It was very thoughtful & generous. We will definitely book this house again. Our whole family have expressed a wish to return to Tully. We had a great time despite mixed weather conditions. Ei...more
The property is in a gorgeous location and the views are amazing. The property itself was very comfortable. Our only criticism was we felt the en-suite bathrooms both needed a better cleaning and also the extractor fan in the kitchen. It would also be helpful if a couple of dishwasher and washing machine tablets were left in the house just to tide people over. We would have no hesitation in renting the property again.
This is one of the nicest houses. It’s a piece of heaven. No matter if the sun is shining or it rains. The view is glorious and every room has a view. My family come over from America and my two grandchildren just can’t wait to see the house again. Leaving they run around and say goodbye and tell the house not to miss them u til next year. The house is so so clean and the house keepers need special praise and thanks. If you could not enjoy this home and location then I feel very sorry for you. Thanks again for allowing us to spend time in this special house and place. We will ...more
The house was perfect for us we had two dogs with us and the had plenty of room in the back garden and there was a lovely walk from the house to the pier .there was something to everyday 7 days wasn’t enough the pub and restaurant was excellent across the road
The house is super comfortable with everything one could need . The bedrooms and beds very comfortable. Sitting areas with superb views . The beach is a dream and super safe for my grandchildren . One couldn’t find better accommodation anywhere.
Wonderful time! Nice seashore. Nice landscape. A lot of different impressions. Good food. But to far from the next village.
Stunning location. Clean comfortable large rooms. Loads of communal space. Host very obliging and helpful.
Good stay. Martin is sympa and take care their hosts. The house is very close to Connemara Park (10-15 minutes road).
Our 4th return visit and the best stay yet, mainly due to magnificent weather. The views of the bay with the 12 Bens beyond are breathtaking. Days spent crab finishing, SUP races, swimming and sandcastle competitions. Connemara golf course nearby for the golfers. Sundowners on the patio with a full moon overhead. Only 2 little cons: no clothes line to hang wet towels and the barbecue was much too small for 12 adults and too far from the house. Otherwise everything was perfect.
Excellent loads of space and so safe for children ..Fabulous views .would recommend it to anyone especially with children .
We book this townhouse every year for our Clifden holiday. It is in a great location, offers great comfort and we have a great time using it as our base to see Clifden and its beautiful surrounding countryside. Connemara Lettings also look after us very well. All highly recommended.
we had a lovely stay with our friends with children. good location away from main road, close to few nice walks through the countryside. beautiful lakes nearby. the house has everything what you need. would highly recommend!
The apartment was spotless and everything (washing machine, hoover, kitchen hob, oven...) functioned very well. The shower pressure was outstandingly good! :) even when both showers were in use. Ample towels were provided but of course we brought our own for the beach. A few things should be noted: 1- This is a 3 bedroom apartment with 4 double beds. ie- there are no single beds. Except for the pull out bed in the living room which, if used would probably make everything a bit cramped. We were 2 adults and 2 teens so it worked out brilliantly for us; the teens shared a room and each adult h...more
This is a beautiful property. So clean and comfortable ( and gorgeous fresh scones to greet you). The views from the property are breathtaking. Three very spacious bedrooms. In the bathroom a separate bath and shower and hot water all day long. The kitchen is very spacious and has all that you need for any baking requirements. Loads of space outside for the children to play or sit outside with a glass of wine and enjoy the view. the location is off the main road and you would need a car to stay in this property as it is between Barna and Spiddal. We stayed there for 2 nights with 3 older child...more
Foregloss Cottage was great. All Amenities and a short drive from all the sights. The Garden was lovely and the kids spend hours playing football. Highly recommended for a stay in connemara.
Great house in a peaceful location. Bit far out for some of the places we wanted to visit but we knew this before booking. Kathleen the owner was great, she responded to any questions we had and recommended some local things to visit which we really enjoyed. Balinrobe is only few mins away for shops and take aways etc.. all in all great time had.
Enjoyed the quality time spent in Clifden. Location was everything that we required. Would definitely recommend it to my friend's and family.
The apartment is perfect, very clean and spacious. Restaurants and supermarket are 4' walk away. It is surprising to have the city so close because, in the apartment, we are really in nature: very quiet, wild, the sea in front of the windows. A big thank you to Helen for her welcome. We will come back with pleasure
Met by Olive who was available at all times if needed. Thankfully we didn't have a problem. Very warm and friendly host. The house is spotlessly clean, very roomy, and has everything one would need, and more. Beds very comfortable. The views from the house would hold their own with anywhere in the world. Simply stunning. The area is quiet but with bars/restaurants a short drive away ( transport essential ). The nearby Glassinaun beach is pristine and the water crystal clear, set against the backdrop of majestic Mweelrea mountain. Great value for money and highly recommended. ...more
Peaceful quiet location with fantastic views. really friendly knowledgeable local community. beautiful
Our family (2 adults and 2 children) felt very comfortable (especially the playroom). The location was ideal for touring and provided a quiet retreat for relaxation.
Christa was a great host. The property was a good size and had everything we needed in it. Any queries we had were answered swiftly and we always felt like she was there if we needed anything. The property was great for our big group and the location was perfect being such a short walkable distance to the town.
This is an outstanding property. It appears to be a former B&B. It has six bedrooms with 6 in-suite bathrooms. All bedrooms are large and well equipped. The location is magnificent with unmatched views of the water and access to a private rocky beach with tide pool exploration. The property manager could not have been more helpful. She was extremely quick with answers to all questions except when it came to hurling. There is a huge dinning room which made feeding our family of 13 easy. The kitchen is exceptionally small but well stocked with plenty of pots, pans, tableware, etc. Althou...more
We loved our stay in this spacious and comfortable apartment. Great location and the apartment was equipped with everything we needed.
Roomy comfortable house in close proximity to Spiddal xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx
Spent a week in Spiddal Cottage. Great location, only a short walk to the village with loads of shops/pubs. Very comfortable cottage and perfect for a family of 4 and a pet. Patsy was there to greet us and answer any questions we had, lovely lady and very helpful. We will definitely be back

Lovely situated house, far from people and other houses, close to another beautiful spots. Huge house, very well supplied. Gorgeous view from each bedroom. Easy contact with owner.
Lovely little cottage with everything you need for wonderful holiday. The staff were very helpful and I would strongly recommend the property
This was an excellent location. The weather was excellent. The property was perfect and the caretaker was friendly and helpful. A big problem was the two flights of a steel staircase to gain access to the apartment which was a difficulty for a 77 year old. For this reason will not return to this property.
Plenty of room for our family to stay in this lovely, quiet house. Spectacular views of Connemara bogland and mountains, would definitely recommend to anyone staying in the area
This house is very comfortable and spacious and very clean . It is ideal for touring the beautiful surrounding area . Wonderful scenery all within a short distance. Clifden itself is a great place. Great Pubs with music and good food. Great shopping also . Would highly recommend this house . The host Mary is very helpful. Thanks for a great stay .
We had a lovely time in Ballinakill Lodge. Great location. Kitchen very well equipped. Bedrooms very spacious and comfortable. One suggestion would be to have some more armchairs or couches in the dining room as there is not enough seating for all in the evenings after dinner other than staying at the dining table.
View & location- absolutely amazing Rooms - spacious & clean Self catering facilities- disappointing Missing basic amenities: Tea, coffee, sugar Cooking Oil Chopping/steak knives, kitchen utensils, Oven trays/dishes, colander Plastic bags for the bins Tinfoil or Greaseproof paper Dishwasher tablets Cloths for counters No hoover/brush especially for cleaning sand from beach
2 families stayed 7 nights. Beautiful peoperty with everything you could need. The propieter was very helpful when needed but be honest everything is at hand. excellent location 10 minutes walk to the village which is delightful. Only a 15 min drive to Clifden if you need other provisions. Highly recommended.
Fabulous location Easy access to beaches fabulous area for walking perfect location to relax unwind. Great food locally.
We loved our stay at Errislannan stone cottage. Fabulous place, with breathtaking views, close to nature. Cottage has everything you want in order to be comfortable. The cottage location is close to the numerous fantastic beaches , local villages and clifden town. The icing on the cake is the owners, helpfulness, local knowledge and friendship which makes us want to return again.
A wonderful refuge from day to day life. Great location, very comfortable and homely. Having stayed for the past 4 years, already booked next year
Recess cottage was a very comfortable cottage, but the only complaint we had was the water pump,we had to turn it off at night, the noise was unbearable, other than that it was a very pleasant stay, plenty of room, very spacious. I would definitely recommend it. The correspondence with the owner was very good and helpful. Thanks Bernie Bolger
All excellent! The owner was very helpful and pleasant. Very neat and tidy bungalow in first class condition. Lovely location with views over Galway bay. Short walk to nearest beach and many other beaches to explore and a short drive into Galway. Could not ask for a better holiday location or nicer bungalow! And we had good weather!
Everything was satisfactory with our stay, with the exception of the WiFi, which was intermittent to start and stopped working altogether by mid-week, which we found very frustrating. On reporting it, we were told it had caused problems the previous week. On that basis, I would have expected it to be functional during our stay. This would dissuade me from renting this apartment again. Breda
Es war alles gut. Kleinigkeiten, die man noch verbessern könnte: Warmwasser in den Handwaschbecken installieren. Ein Sonnenschirm wäre gut
My wife and I have been coming to Ballyconneely Cottages for many years and 2023 was just as good as usual. As a potential upgrade it might be helpful to have provided WIFI in the cottage but part of the charm is the remoteness. Veronica O’Malley is a diamond and looks after us very well. I’d like to think that we will return.
Coral Cottage is probably the best equipped cottage that I've stayed in. It has everything needed for a comfortable stay, three nice bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with a utility room attached and a large living area. Plus the sunroom which gives great views of the Steamstown inlet. There's something very soothing and relaxing watching the tidal movements. Coral Cottage is about a ten minute drive to Clifden and a couple of minutes to Claddaghduff and Omey Island. The owners couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating. The lack of Wifi is well posted on the property details and is ...more
See above. Good location to explore Connemara area. We loved the mountains/hills, beaches etc. Clifden cute little town
We had a wonderful time in this home. It was perfect for our 2 dogs (quiet, no cars and large enclosed area outside). Our 3 big kids really loved the place - good beds, excellent WiFi, beautiful views, lovely walks (recommend Inishnee loop which is literally on your doorstep), gorgeous beaches nearby, lovely village of Roundstone with lovely eating places and the highlight was a boat trip around island with the house owner, John. We all loved our time there! Didn’t want to leave!
Well equipped bungalow with fine views across fields to the sea and islands. 10 minute walk to Cleggan down a cart track (when we arrived, WAZE sent us up this track. Do not make this mistake - it cost us a tyre and we had to reverse out). Cleggan is a good base to explore this spectacularly beautiful area.
This was our first time staying at No.1 having stayed in other houses previously. Our stay was most enjoyable and the house met all of our expectations and provided a perfect base for our needs. It was very comfortable and well kitted out and a pleasure to spend tie in as we did due to the weather ! We would have no hesitation in staying again.
We had a lovely stay in August 23 .. stunning old house … right in the centre of Clifden .All mod cons …would love to go back !
