Wonderful place, very clean and very big. We loved it very much. The area is a bit on the country side, however, lots of natural nice regions to explore.
20 of us stayed at SUNNYBANK for a week to celebrate our Golden Wedding with an age range of 2 to 82. The house and surrounging area met with all our needs. The house provided excellent accommodation and amenities with plenty of room to accommodate our party. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their stay and would not hesitate to recommend SUNNYBANK to friends and family as a superb venue for a holiday or any celebration. Shane was most courteous and very helpful during our stay. Just wonderful!
I could not have stayed in a nicer place. It was very central to everything. I would recommend it to friends .
The house is very well located and with everything you need. Paul and Sheila caring you all the time. Amazing house with amazing hostess
This is hands down the best holiday rental we have had in the west of Ireland. Everything about and in the house was of the highest standard. The fixtures and fittings were exceptional and the beds were far more comfortable than our other stays in Connemara. My parents-in-law joined my family of five here for a week and there was plenty of room for us all. The view from the dining room just made it - regardless of the weather. Many thanks to David for being so helpful with suggestions and the welcome food pack when we arrived. I would book this house again in a heartbeat,
A lovely spotlessly clean house with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Ideal location to explore Connemara, its gorgeous beaches, and nearby Clifden.
This is a beautifully appointed apartment in excellent location right in centre of Clifden. The apartment is modern, bright, spacious and has all the facilities that one needs for a comfortable stay. It has been newly and very tastefully decorated with a subtle maritime theme. We really enjoyed our stay and would have no hesitation in rebooking. The staff at Connemara Lettings were also excellent and very helpful.
Wonderful property in superb location. Delighted with its home from home facilities and perfect situation. Would love to rebook in the future
We spent a lovely week in Ballyconneely. The house was just perfect. Everything you needed was there. The views from each room were just stunning, the sea, mountains and sheep and ponies grazing outside the window.Big comfortable living room, lovely rooms upstairs with fantastic views, even from the beds. Very helpfull key holder lilian is there if you need anything. We hope to come back again.
Town view apartment was the ideal place to stay in clifden. Located right in the centre of the town meant it was just a stroll to all restaurants, pubs and shops. It is a spacious , well equipped apartment and very comfortable.. The kitchen is well equipped should you need to cook some evenings but the restaurants and pub food in clifden are a delight. Great holiday, will definitely return.
This holiday home must rank among the best in Connemara. One counterargument: we wanted to stay longer but couldn't :-)
Had a lovely stay in Bruion apartment, was a well needed time out, in a well kitted out apartment, it had everything I needed. Surrounded by beautiful beaches, fresh air and dramatic country side, what more would you ask for!
We loved this holiday home, it was stunning, a beautiful house is a magical location. Everything about it was perfect
We stayed in the log cabin for 3 nights and wished we could stay forever. It is a beautiful retreat right on the Carna coastline, next to the house of the amazing hosts, Mary and Peter. They are a gorgeous couple, always on hand to help in any way, but never in the least bit intrusive. The cabin is entirely separate and secluded from their house, with its own access to the exquisitely beautiful Connemara coastline. The cabin has a distinctively quaint charm and is just perfect for a couple who are looking for a quiet break away from it all. Though relatively small, the cabin itself is really w...more
We enjoyed a lovely stay at the end of August. The house is perfect and in a very quiet location with great hosts. It is a great location for touring beautiful Connemara and close to the ferry to the islands also.
Wonderfully private cottage in a stunning location. Local walks on country lanes and rocky headlands. Picture window from cottage an amazing feature. Modern interior with comfortable and stylish furniture. Highly recommended.
Myself and my family really enjoyed our stay in Kill house. For an old grand house it was so warm and comfortable and we had to turn the heat down at the rads! The kids loved the size of the house and all the space for hide and seek . We had a fabulous 5 days
We enjoyed a wonderful week at Tom Jack’s property. Memories of a lifetime: sunrises and sunsets over the ocean and the majestic mountains, daily serenades from both the sheep and the birds, My three sisters and I haven’t spent that much quality time together since our childhood. Thank you for providing the comfortable home for our incredible Irish reunion.
Accomadation excellent.Beautiful views over Cleggan bay from our front door.Spectacular sunsets on two evenings.Very enjoyable stay.Spotlessly clean, comfortable and peaceful. Couldn’t Recommend it highly enough.
We stayed at Atlantic Sunset for two weeks with family coming and going, some of whom we hadn’t seen for a few covid years. Lovely place to stay. No wi-fi, which is a plus as it made us relax more and have conversations. Fully functioning everything. Lots of kitchenware. Cleggan has a nice seafood restaurant which we visited quite often. Also went to Clifden for food and music, great. Weather wasn’t too good but did not detract from the stay. The Abbey outside Letterfrack is a must to visit. Ground great to walk around. Would highly recommend this holiday home. A little out of the way but ther...more
The Art House provided us with exactly what we needed. It was easy to find, spotless, comfortable and cosy. The location is excellent for walking in and out of Clifden town. The communication before and during our stay with our hosts was also excellent. We would highly recommend it and love to return to it next year.
Clifden is the heart of Connemara and Riverview apartment provides a comfortable base in an ideal location a couple of minutes stroll from the town centre. Great for enjoying the pub life in Clifden, with its lively music scene, and then having an easy walk home at the end of the night.
The house was stunning, loads of space for dinning and enjoyed sitting in the large sitting room together. Wonderful views from the dinning table. A beautiful designed house. Would love to go back in the Summer!
We had a brilliant stay in mid-October. We were two small families staying for a long weekend and it kicked off very smoothly. We arrived to a warm house with a very welcome bottle of wine (thank you!). The town is a short walk or drive from the house with great food spots to dine in or takeaway. The house also had every food and cleaning gadget needed and all recycling options too. Very clean and easy to keep clean. We’d also forgotten to request a high chair which was supplied to us promptly without fuss, so thanks again! The view from the living room/ kitchen/ garden is spectacular and w...more
1 Courthouse Square was ideal week for my time in Clifden. The unit had all the amenities I could want, even outdoor space! The inside parking and elevator also came in very handy. It was clean and quiet. Highly recommend.
We have been visiting Clifden for several years and have been fortunate to stay at a wide variety of accommodations, many managed by Connemara Lettings. We were pleased to see that we could do a short-term stay at 4 Clifden Quay when we returned to Clifden after a two year pause on travel due to the pandemic. This is a superior accommodation - in terms of its location, it’s amenities and it’s value with the direct view of the Bay. The staff of Connemara Lettings are a delight to work with - kind, warm and responsive. I would highly recommend a stay here.
I loved my holiday in Clifden Court it was so modern and clean and had everything you could possibly need. Only problem was I only had a week...
A wonderful cottage with plenty of space. Amazing views and lovely hosts, everything you could need.
We had a lovely week. Eileen was very welcoming and considerate. The home made scones etc provided on arrival were very tasty. The only reason we gave a 4 for condition (having given 5 for everything else) is by way of a constructive comment. We felt the en suite needed to be upgraded in particular the shower. Otherwise a lovely property with stunning views.
The property is in a gorgeous location and the views are amazing. The property itself was very comfortable. Our only criticism was we felt the en-suite bathrooms both needed a better cleaning and also the extractor fan in the kitchen. It would also be helpful if a couple of dishwasher and washing machine tablets were left in the house just to tide people over. We would have no hesitation in renting the property again.
This is our second stay at Connemara apartment & we have already booked two more. Absolutely lovely.
Superb spacious comfortable clean peaceful house. Great outlook onto lake. Good base to explore Connemara and get away from it all. 19km to Clifden 9km to Roundstone 1km to nearest shop and bar Highly recommended.
Our host could not have done more for us. Tina and Liam were very welcoming and had left us a welcome pack which was well received. She gave us a great surprise for dinner one evening of Cray Fish, The house was well kitted out and the outdoor furniture was great for the evening drinks (excluding the midgets). The house is a bit off the main Clifden Road but we found no difficulties in getting used to the road. .
This was our 3rd time staying in the GH. The weather may not have been perfect but the size and relaxed comfort of the house and the extensive gardens ensured we had another magical stay
What a wonderful stay we had at Once Upon A tide. My wife and our children with their spouses and children had plenty of room. The house was very comfortable with location to Clifden Village and the views overlooking the Atlantic Ocean were perfect.
A very wrll-appointed cottage, extremely comfortable. Perfect location.Martin is perfect host - friendly, welcoming, helpful.
Stunning location. Clean comfortable large rooms. Loads of communal space. Host very obliging and helpful.
Fantastic property, has everything you need, ideal for large family or in our case two families holidaying together. Would definitely recommend this holiday house.
Perfect place for a large group. 5 rooms with separate beds and en-suite in every room. Right in the middle of the town with lots of free parking nearby. Pubs restaurants literally 30 secs walk from the front door
The house is super comfortable with everything one could need . The bedrooms and beds very comfortable. Sitting areas with superb views . The beach is a dream and super safe for my grandchildren . One couldn’t find better accommodation anywhere.
A lot of thought has gone into building and equipping Hillside House but please could you provide softer pillows, chests of drawers in the bedrooms, more teaspoons, bedside lights that are bright enough to read by and a printed information paper not bits of paper stuck on the appliances. We never did work out the heating system.
Excellent loads of space and so safe for children ..Fabulous views .would recommend it to anyone especially with children .
Nothing but good things to stay about our week in the D4 station house property. House was spotless. Bedding and towels spotless and beds very comfortable. Great location. Always got parking. Plenty to see and do in the area. We would definitely return
The Tom Barry Courtyard apartment was clean and very comfortable for our stay. It's right in the heart of Clifden, making it easy to walk to restaurants, pubs, and shopping. I would stay there again next time I visit.
we had a lovely stay with our friends with children. good location away from main road, close to few nice walks through the countryside. beautiful lakes nearby. the house has everything what you need. would highly recommend!
Absolutely loved the Baybridge house, such a stunning house and amazing views. Greaf outdoor area too. The house is outside of Clifden so a car is definitely required.
I had a comfortable stay at Hillview. The house was clean and warm. Jeanie responded very quickly to any questions/requests. The views are beautiful as it sits between 2 of those gorgeous Connemara mountains. Few min walk to village.
This is a beautiful property. So clean and comfortable ( and gorgeous fresh scones to greet you). The views from the property are breathtaking. Three very spacious bedrooms. In the bathroom a separate bath and shower and hot water all day long. The kitchen is very spacious and has all that you need for any baking requirements. Loads of space outside for the children to play or sit outside with a glass of wine and enjoy the view. the location is off the main road and you would need a car to stay in this property as it is between Barna and Spiddal. We stayed there for 2 nights with 3 older child...more
Great house in a peaceful location. Bit far out for some of the places we wanted to visit but we knew this before booking. Kathleen the owner was great, she responded to any questions we had and recommended some local things to visit which we really enjoyed. Balinrobe is only few mins away for shops and take aways etc.. all in all great time had.
Met by Olive who was available at all times if needed. Thankfully we didn't have a problem. Very warm and friendly host. The house is spotlessly clean, very roomy, and has everything one would need, and more. Beds very comfortable. The views from the house would hold their own with anywhere in the world. Simply stunning. The area is quiet but with bars/restaurants a short drive away ( transport essential ). The nearby Glassinaun beach is pristine and the water crystal clear, set against the backdrop of majestic Mweelrea mountain. Great value for money and highly recommended. ...more
Enjoyed a short stay at No 68 Clifden Glen We appreciated the peaceful and quiet surroundings. The house was clean and comfortable.
Excellent all round . Very clean . Fab Quite Location and yet close enough to Roundstone /Gurteen Bay / Clifden etc.
The space was beautifully set up and had everything we needed for our stay. The location was both stunning and peaceful yet only a few feet from the town center. We will be back!
Very comfortable stay. House very clean. Bedrooms all good size. Living space/kitchen small but functional. Good value for money. If I was to pick a downside no services, shop etc within walking distance. But that's only a small downside.
A very well equipped house that is very clean, well laid out and spacious. Good location only a few minutes drive from Clifden
We enjoyed our stay at the Uplands The location and views from the holiday home are Lovely Very close to some lovely beaches There were two of us staying but it was a very large house lots of space for family Very comfortable bed and very quiet for a good nights sleep
we enjoyed our stay. 88888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888
This is a modern home with all conveniences in a beautiful part of Connemara. Agnes, the host is a great person and is available for any issues, we had no issues during our stay. All bedrooms are on one level, heating systems worked very well as did TV. I would highly recommend this house for a holiday stay.
The Spiddal cottage was in a very central location in Spiddal. The rooms were spacious and airy. It was very relaxing and comfortable in the house. I would highly recommend this house as an ideal base to discover the beauty of connemara and beyond. The host Patsy was a lovely lady and could be more helpful.
Wonderful stay in Ballyconneely at the end of August. Great location, within walking distance of Keoghs pub and supermarket. Great base for touring Connemara, and amazing beaches on your doorstep.
Couldn't fault this house. Enjoyed the spacious interior and expansive beauty beyond. The endless sunsets. Wifi in the area is a problem but not an issue when away from it all for a week with lovely weather. The owner very helpful and diligent. Didn't want to leave!
We had a lovely time in Ballinakill Lodge. Great location. Kitchen very well equipped. Bedrooms very spacious and comfortable. One suggestion would be to have some more armchairs or couches in the dining room as there is not enough seating for all in the evenings after dinner other than staying at the dining table.
We had a lovely time staying at 17 Canons Lane. The apartment was in good condition and we had everything we needed. Contact with the owner was pleasant and easy. I would highly recommend staying here, it was one of the most relaxing places I've stayed in a while.
Lovely house and brilliant location for sea swimmers, across from The Coral Strand. However, the house could have more furniture, washing line and kitchen equipment. Owner lovely.
Lovely house which is tastefully decorated. Good for families as it is well located in the town but very quiet. The garden is well kept and the kitchen well stocked though would recommend the frying pans are replaced. The fireplaces are open so will smell slightly dusty if you’re not used to that but the house itself is very clean.
We had a wonderful holiday in E2. The accommodation was excellent, everything appeared new. It's location is ideal, a short walk to Clifden village and all the amenities. I would be very happy to recommend E2 to anyone.
2 families stayed 7 nights. Beautiful peoperty with everything you could need. The propieter was very helpful when needed but be honest everything is at hand. excellent location 10 minutes walk to the village which is delightful. Only a 15 min drive to Clifden if you need other provisions. Highly recommended.
We were very pleased with our accommodation at No.7 Owen Glen. The house was very clean and equipped with everything that you would need. There were 6 adults in our group and the rooms provided great accommodation with bathrooms ensuite and lovely modern living room and seperate kitchen/dining.The location is excellent for exploring all the attractions around Clifden and only 5 minutes from town of Clifden.Highly recommend this accommodation...Only negative was the cost vis a vis value you would get for a city break in any European city.
Most amazing views Everything provided in the accommodation you could think of Will definitely be using this place in the future Absolutely gorgeous
The house is in a fabulous location and has everything you might need. Although the decor may appear a little dated at first, the beds are comfortable, the rooms a good size, the shower is powerful and the kitchen well equipped. There is a large TV and Netflix for rainy days and outdoor furniture for sunny days. You are close to Roundstone, Gurteen Bay and Dogs Bay so there is plenty to do. We had a lovely week.
Apt. slightly dark inside , ie lacking a little natural light, but overall a good experience exceeding our expectations. Would certainly consider returning again in the future.
A really spacious, comfortable and well equipped house with stunning views over the bay. Great to have 4 en-suite bedrooms and a really bright and open living and dining space. The house had everything needed for a family stay along with an outdoor dining area. A bit of a distance to bars and shop in Roundstone so you’ll need a second driver if you want to have a few drinks out. Very friendly an efficient booking and welcome from the excellent hosts and can strongly recommend for a great stay in Connemara.
The property is even better than it appears on the website. It is larger, well equipped and while everything may not be new in condition everything has been carefully considered to make your stay as wonderful as possible. There are several spaces available for a family with three boisterous boys to find their own niche to escape into. More than a holiday base, it's an enjoyable place to spend a day if the weather is poor, although we only had one rainy day across the fortnight. Far enough away from the road to enjoy peace and quiet, early morning birdsong and some beautiful views from the pati...more
We stayed here for five days/ four nights, 2 adults and 2 childeren. Big kitchen and livingroom, good working kitchen appliances. The shower how ever is not that great, low water pressure. Great stay if you want to visit the Connamare area and more. We would recommend this property.
Absolutely beautiful house in the perfect location. Spotlessly clean and comfortable with amazing views of the sea. John looks after it so well and was incredibly kind to us making sure we were happy during our stay. Highly recommend it.
Nice beaches nearby! Cute town of Clifden, short drive. Decent shopping and nice restaurants with fresh seafood, really good! Cottage was clean with all necessary amenities. I would suggest new bedwear and linens/towels. Great peace and quiet for a good rest.
The Cottage is extremely comfortable, spacious and very well equipped in every respect. The bedrooms are beautifully presented and on arrival we were delighted to find a bottle of Prosecco and home baked bread awaiting us, as well as a welcome note offering any assistance required. It is in an excellent location for exploring Connemara and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Upon arrival we found no high chair which was clearly stated on website, and we did phone to check. Tried ringing your office, but no answer all week. Place very dirty we had to do major clean. Dust everywhere. Floors not cleaned. Not enough seating for us all in sitting room except on bar stools in window. Sofa in sitting room lethal, metal legs stick out on corners and we had several accidents with it. No cutlery or crockery matched, just odds and ends. Not enough main course plates for six adults, only two decent wine glasses. Cupboards and pantry very dirty and I could go on , but t...more
We had a wonderful time in this home. It was perfect for our 2 dogs (quiet, no cars and large enclosed area outside). Our 3 big kids really loved the place - good beds, excellent WiFi, beautiful views, lovely walks (recommend Inishnee loop which is literally on your doorstep), gorgeous beaches nearby, lovely village of Roundstone with lovely eating places and the highlight was a boat trip around island with the house owner, John. We all loved our time there! Didn’t want to leave!
We had a fabulous stay in the old school hse, the rooms are huge with so much space for everyone. We loved the oldness and the character of the house. The cooker is quite dated but it encouraged us to eat out. Which is fantastic in clifden, there is so much choice. And the children loved going down to the super valu every morning to get the fresh croissants. Which were amazing. All in all this place has it all and location is fantastic.
Ballinahinch Manor is a lovely spot to stay and so convenient located, close enough to Clifden for shopping, with abundant walks and cycling right at the doorstep. The house itself is cosy, comfortable and very well maintained and equipped. We'd certainly stay there again.
The house is 10 minutes away from Clifden on the way to Claddaghduff. It's at the end of the bay, close to fountain hill beach and omey island with a view over to Kingstown. The house was very comfortable, it has 3 bed rooms, a living room, one bath room, a kitchen and a room with a beautiful view and a stunning garden. The view goes out to the bay, I loved sitting at the there or in the living room, drinking a coffee and I just enjoyed the view. I rented the house just a day before and the owner replied very fast and they were very helpful. I totally recommand the house and I will stay there ...more
Our group of 6 (4 adults and 2 kids) stayed here for a week and really enjoyed the house and bay. The area is remote, which was what we wanted. We spent most days on paddle boards exploring the bay and hanging out with the local seals. We also used the house as a base for exploring southern Connemara, which has lots to explore and many activities to do. The house itself is huge with loads of rooms. We used the Sauna daily which is great and spent mornings in the conservatory and evenings in front of the fire. The only complaint I would have was the condition of the house. Although perfectly fi...more
