We recently spent a week at the Tranquil Otter in the Fieldfare Lodge and found it to be a peaceful and well-appointed retreat. The lodge itself was very comfortable – the bed, sofa, and chair were all excellent for relaxing, and everything we could possibly need had been thoughtfully provided. It was great not having to pack lots of extras. We had pre-ordered several extras including the breakfast pack, luxury welcome pack, and BBQ pack. These were generous and high quality, and they really helped cut down on shopping trips during our stay – a big plus when you’re trying to unwind. A wa...more
This was our second visit this summer, and it’s hard to imagine anywhere that could top it. The lodge was cozy, spotless, and so thoughtfully prepared with lovely welcome gifts. Nick even dropped by with some freshly picked apples, which was such a kind touch. What makes this place so special is the peace and privacy — you’re surrounded by amazing views and can slip straight into the hot tub to take them all in. We also loved the secure garden, which was perfect for our dog, and the well-equipped kitchen made everything so easy. The BBQ area is a great, which we enjoyed making use of and with...more
The cabin was really nice, spacious, comfy and toasty warm with the log fire. Great setting in amongst the tree with fantastic views out over the loch. The hot tub was great and we all enjoyed feeding the ducks. Was amazed by the amount of wildlife, so many birds, a hedgehog, frog, newts, damsel flies and dragonflies, oh and we also seen the bats. Just brilliant! We loved going out on the boat and walking through the woods around the loch. So excited to find the bird hide. We will definitely be back!
I booked this lodge as a surprise for my partners birthday, she absolutely loved it ,everything about it was just perfect … so peaceful, tranquil .. we loved the hotub and sauna .. lodge was beautiful and well equipped !! Great stay at buzzard lodge however for it been wheelchair accessible the beds were unfortunatly too high for my mam & we did struggle a little. We couldnt take mam for a walk outside as it was too muddy & the paths are not flat.to use a wheelchair.. However the lodge was spotless, the communication was 10/10, the views amazing, the beds were so comfy! Apart from the two things i mentioned we loved our stay.
Three nights in the ChiffChaff lodge. The location is stunning and the lodge is beautiful, equipped with everything that you could possibly need. The degree of tranquillity can sometimes dictated by 'the neighbours' but not bad enough to spoil it. The addition of a jacuzzi tub on the decking overlooking the lake makes the experience luxurious in the extreme. The bed is crisp and very comfortable and the bathroom puts most hotels to shame. The wildlife is interesting. There were ducks at the back of ChiffChaff - we had clearly come to stay on their spot! They were semi-tame and would occas...more
Myself and my family arrived this weekend along with our Rottweiler puppy and were blown away with the lodge itself, the welcome we received from the cleaning staff and the welcome treats were such a nice touch. The accommodation was clean, spacious and had an amazing view. We spent the first couple of days really enjoying the experience. On our third day there we arrived back to the lodge after spending the day out at around 3.30pm and we were only back for around 10 minutes. Someone walked past the lodge and it disturbed the dog so she barked once or twice. A couple of minutes later the own...more
Heron Lodge we had a lovely time during our stay. Fiona the host was very helpful during the booking process as our stay was very last minute. Everything we needed was available at Heron Lodge and life jackets available for going out on the boats. We look forward to our return visit.
