Wow!!! What an amazing weekend stay we had at the kingfisher cabin at the tranquil otter. The cabin was spotless and absolutely stunning. It was such a lovely touch to have a personal message wishing my partner a happy birthday and also two small bottles of Prosecco was such a thoughtful gesture. We will definitely be returning soon! If you are thinking of booking, do it! You won’t be disappointed!!! Thankyou ☺️

Lovely few days spent at The Tranquil Otter. The lodge was immaculate and luxurious with everything required for our stay. The location and views over the lake were perfect. The hot tub and wood burning stove made it extra cosy. Our dog enjoyed her treats and welcome toy.
This place is perfect for a relaxing, low-stress escape from the chaos of everyday life. We've been here twice now, and our expectations have been exceeded yet again. The love and care put into curating the experience of staying at one of the lodges is evident in everything from the serene location and beautiful lake views to the self-catering facilities and optional locally sourced food. Oh my gosh - what a wonderful stay we had for my husband's birthday. The location is so magical and peaceful and the lodge is beautiful. The icing on the cake was the hot tub - my husband had never been in one before, so this was a fantastic first time!! A huge hot tub with a view and so much beautiful wildlife to listen to. Would highly recommend - I just wish we could have stayed for a week!
Beautiful place, Clean and tidy, smelled lovely when we walked in. Had everything we needed and perfect for a nice relaxing get away. Would definitely recommend and will be back for another stay.
Alder Lodge is stunning. We loved the double height living room and the view over the lake. We had really stormy weather during our stay but we were so warm and cosy by the log burner. It feels so special to have your own little boat to go out on the lake (we only managed a brief excursion before the weather turned, but it was lots of fun). Very dog friendly place and the walk around the lake is lovely. Comfy beds, good showers, hot tub and lots of homely touches to make for a really fun and relaxing stay. I just wish we could have stayed longer.
Third visit to this beautiful place. Perfect spot to unwind and enjoy nature. Love the hot tub, the cosy lodge, the log burner and walking the wood around the Lough. The lakes and mountains still take our breath away! Cannot wait to return.
Myself and my brother and sister meet up once a year to catch up away from our families . This was the perfect place to unwind and fully relax. The lodge has everything you need for a very comfortable stay . Rowing out at sunset was a very special experience with so many birds to watch. The hot tub and sauna add to the luxury and relaxation. We’ll definitely be back next year .
