Located in the South Downs National Park, in the beautiful Meon Valley, within easy reach of London, Winchester, Petersfield, Chichester, Southampton and Portsmouth the eight self-catering ground floor cottages incorporate a tasteful blend of contemporary style and modern comforts and sleep 4-8 people. The cottages can be booked individually or as a group (up to 54 people). Each cottage comprises an open-plan sitting/dining room with an extending oak table seating 12, and a fully equipped kitchen. Beds can be twins or super king-size and all bedrooms are en-suite with either showers or a bath. There is under-floor heating and woodburning stoves in all cottages, together with free Wifi. The enclosed patio gardens are equipped with a hot tub, outdoor furniture and barbecues. The patio gate leads to a large shared lawn. Pets are welcome. For guests with reduced mobility all cottages are on one level and Teal (3-bed) and Hedgehunter (4-bed) are M3 and M2 respectively. There is also a selection of extra kit available such as showering wheelchair, bed rails, grab rails etc if required. Located on the South Downs Wallops Wood is a great base for walking, cycling and sightseeing. We stayed at the cottages to have a completely chilled weekend as a big group. We were looking for somewhere to enjoy walks with our dogs and local days out during the day. In the evening we were looking for somewhere that was suitable to host all of us together for dinner and drinks, (there was about 21 of us in total). The cottages were perfect this; brilliantly laid out and we had a big table that could seat everyone put into the largest of the cottages. Everyone enjoyed the weekend and we would recommend the accommodation to others.
This is was our 3rd stay in Teal Cottage, because we like it so much. The first time we went my friends couldn't beleive how spacious it was. The first word to come to mind was Wow. I have Primary Progressive MS and find this cottage very disabled friendly. The cottage is excellent and very comfortable. They also provide Tea, coffee, sugar, bread, butter and a home made sponge, which is lovely. If you have a dog they have a welcoming basket including treats, which my friend's dog enjoys. This is the second time visiting and once again had a fab time. The views are so beautiful. The cottage was so comfortable and an added coffee machine was much appreciated. The facilities for the disabled were excellent which meant mother in law could get around the property very easily. With a swimming pool being added will definately make us return next year.
