We stay in various lodges/cottages over the year for family get togethers but this cottage has been the best by far. The cottage was very spacious and clean, the location and views were beautiful. The swimming pool was great. What really made this place stand out was the small touches, on arrival there was a welcome hamper including bread, butter, homemade cake, wine etc. We were travelling with babies and they had left everything we needed, from travel cot to baby walker to box of toys and lots more. The cottage is so well equipped you really don’t need to bring much at all, they really have ...more
We were a large group (20+adults & 12kids & 3dogs) staying for a long weekend in October. We had done a lot of searching a year in advance to find the perfect spot before we settled on Wallops Wood.
We weren’t disappointed.
The cottages were set up exactly as we had specified for dogs/children etc but the addition of doggie welcome baskets and little gifts for the children in their cots was an extra special touch that everyone really appreciated. They had also given us extra table space for our group meals.
The cottages were fantastically well provisioned with plenty of dishwasher tabs, w...more
We stayed in silver Birch cottage for 2 nights for a family birthday. It was wonderfully equipped with everything we needed for a large gathering and there was so much space!
The kids loved the toys provided and it was great to be able to borrow so much equipment for them - we didn’t have to bring anything! The swimming pool and hot tub were fab too.
It was so easy to book and communication in the run up to the holiday was brilliant. The welcome goodies are a lovely touch. I really can’t fault this place and we have already booked to come back!
Every year I book a long weekend away, we have stayed in many good places, but Early Mist at Wallops Wood is the best
We have stayed at. It was really good having four bedrooms all with there own bathrooms. The welcome pack was
A pleasant surprise. The accommodation was very clean and really well supplied . The information book was really helpful
They thought of everything.
The hot tub was a bonus and very warm on a November night, the new swimming pool is fantastic and really warm,
It still has a few things to complete but did not spoil our swimming.
Thanks to Andrew Kathryn and all...more
This is a fabulous cottage for our family wheelchair user. It’s spacious, warm, and comfortable. We pre-book various pieces of equipment so that we don’t have to bring lots of mobility things with us.
We had a Waitrose food delivery when we arrived and found all the utensils we needed in the kitchen. The room has a lovely view beyond the garden over fields - and the lurcher loved looking for rabbits!
Wallop Wood is in an ideal location with star accommodation . It offers all the best comforts of life anyone could wish for. The accommodation is spacious and of a very high standard. Great thought has gone into the daily needs of your holiday. From
the minute you open the front to the time you retire to bed you will be impressed by the quality of furniture and fittings. My only thought of improvement would be someone to welcome you on the first day of arrival to just say "Welcome if you need anything we are here to help you" Saying that everything you might want to know about the accom...more
We loved the cottage and it's facilities. The underfloor heating was great although it was not easy tochange the time or the temperature. (There were also 3 power cuts during our stay which meant resetting some appliances and nobody came along to see if we needed any help at all.) Some of the appliance guides appeared to be missing from the folder.
The dog friendly approach was very commendable and the best we have seen since owning a dog! The information told us that dogs are not allowed in bedrooms...but in order to get to the outside space we and the dogs had to exit through frenckh doors ...more
