We had a wonderful week in Jane's immaculate and beautiful cottage in Mannin, Connemara. The cottage was spacious and decorated to a very high standard. The kitchen had everything we needed and all the equipment was in perfect condition (we loved the Nick Moss pottery!) The bedrooms are well appointed and very comfortable indeed! Thank you to Jane for a very warm welcome and we would highly recommend this stunning cottage to friends and family in our favourite part of the world!
Beautiful property . Very lovely rooms. Centrally located on bridge street . Beside so many fab restaurants pubs shops . Welcome pack was a lovely touch .butter bread and milk. Tea coffee nespresso pods all a plus.
We had a delightful stay at The Stone House - Rachel was a lovely host and we were very comfortable. It is small - but plenty big enough for the two of us, and in a very nice position across from the river. A particular surprise was the beautiful garden, and there was every thing we needed for our week’s stay. It was so quiet and peaceful. Newport is a great base to explore the region and we enjoyed the pub and the other amenities available in the town. Highly recommended!
We really enjoyed our stay at Dereen View Achill. Beautiful property and great location. Everything you could want or need provided. The ladies at Connemara and Mayo Coastal Cottages made everything so easy booking etc. Achill such a beautiful spot and we were blessed with good weather.
The views from Oyster House are some of the best we have ever experienced. Very impressive. And, the house itself, is a good size, light and airy with just about everything you could ever need for your stay. David, our host, was lovely and very easy to get in touch with and was very helpful. We loved our stay there and would highly recommend. We had a tough journey there, arriving at 3.00 in the morning - it would have been nice if there had been a small welcome pack - just some milk for a cup of tea and some bread for toast when we got up. Also, the house is very close to the working oyst...more
Very comfortable house in a nice place however we think that the dining room table is suitable for 6, we were 7 , there were 6 chairs and we were tight around the table.
Very modern house, with all amenities. Greenway just at your door. Host was extremely helpful and just at the other end of the phone, if needed. Very short distance to fabulous beaches, walking and cycling trails, and restaurants. Will be back.
Stayed for a week. Couldn't have asked for more. House was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. Lovely quiet location overlooking Omey Beach which is only a 5 minute walk. 15 minute drive to Clifden. Jackie and Paul were very friendly and accommodating, would highly recommend this property!
House is very well laid out and had plenty of room for our group of small kids teens and adults.perfect location small walk down to clear waters of omey strand.
We loved our stay at Honeysuckle Cottage. The property is in prrfect condition with a fantastic location and close to all you need for a holiday in the west. We would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.
Excellent holiday home. Absolutely amazing facilities, fantastic hosts and we will be coming back. By far the best holiday home we have stayed in. Many thanks again.
This place suited us beautifully. We only made breakfast but facilities were good for a full cooking experience. Just right for a couple and well designed to make best use of the space. A short walk to delightful pub/restaurant and local shop. We needed nothing more. Sunshine was an unexpected bonus
Very comfortable house with a phantastic view. Very helpful hosts/owner. We‘re already planning our return…
We loved our stay; what a gorgeous location and spacious house! The views of the sea and the islands are spectacular. Thanks so much to Veronica and PJ for your warm hospitality. We would highly recommend this property.
This House was amazing. Best equipped i have ever been in You can tell it is loved by the owners. I often can suffer from joint pain in houses in the west of Ireland. Despite significant amounts of rain the house was super cozy. it was very helpful to speak with the owner before the trip. I love that she uses only eco products and they have their own water source. The information folder and notes around the house were much appreciated. So happy we had a chance to stay here,
This house is very comfortable and homely . It has gorgeous views from the patio area at the rear of the house with a lovely bbq area with tables and seating. The location being so close to Ballyconneely village is fantastic. I would recommend it to anyone renting in the area.
Highly recommend this holiday rental property. The house is modern, bright and spotlessly clean. Mark has thought of everything including supplying an apple tart (which we ate on the beach as a treat after swimming) and fresh milk in the fridge. The views of the mountains are beautiful (when it’s sunny!). The only small recommendation I would suggest is to include a full length mirror or two in the house. It’s difficult to do your hair as the cord will not reach the mirror in the bathroom. All in all, I would be more than happy to stay here again. House is close to some beautiful beaches (...more
Very Nice place, good relationships with owner and Connemara Coastal Cottage. Thanks and thanks Siobhan
If you are looking for a beautiful quiet spot this apartment is perfect. Very close to two excellent sandy beaches, lakes and mountains. Nearest shops and pubs are a 10-15 minute drive away (with wonderful views along the way). Everything worked, great shower and plenty of hot water. Well-equipped kitchen and outside space with picnic table. Enjoyed two excellent dinners at Paddy Coynes in Tully Cross and shopped for food and books in Letterfrack.
Dépaysement assuré pour ce cottage, attention pas de wifi et 2 chaînes a la TV, donc déconnexion totale.
Very homely cottage in excellent location. It was very well equipped and comfortably furnished. Perfect size for our family of 2 adults and 2 children. Nice quiet location close to Clifden and to some amazing beaches. The only very slight downside to this cottage is that the driveway may be a challenge for some vehicles. I would rent this cottage again.
A great confortable accommodation with fantastic views. Great host , available and very helpful. Close to some Connemara gems.
Excellent location and a great novelty for a family to stay in a "Night Club" over night. We will be back!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was comfortable & pleasant & location delightful! Thank you!
This is a beautiful home in a perfect location to explore north Mayo. Justine the owner couldn’t have been more helpful from the time I had a question up till we left the property. The immediate area is very small but had everything we needed,a grocery shop, post office a pub and a beautiful hotel with excellent food. Although it was never cold we just had to light the open turf fire…… heaven!!! And not forgetting the adorable neighbours dog Molly, the friendliest dog I ever met who visited us every morning
loved our stay in the cottage, views amazing and so peaceful, short walk to the village, local shop and pub, friendly people all around
A home from home property with everything you could need. Just kick your shoes off at the door and relax in the peace and quiet. A great spot for exploring.
very roomy property with wonderful views from both front and rear of property. Large garden area. Lounge has a triple aspect making it bright and airy. Good sized well equipped kitchen.Large comfortable beds in all bedrooms. Plenty of parking space. Very quiet and peaceful setting
We had a great stay in this charming cottage for two weeks. There is all you need for a pleasant stay. Edel and Steve welcomed us very warmly. Steve almost asked us if we needed something every day and gave us tips for excursions. He is the best host you can imagine! We can only recommend this property to our friends and acquaintances. A big Thank You! We`d love to cpme back! Jürgen and Elke aus Deutschland/ County Thuringia
Absolutely gorgeous property, comfortable and had every thing we could need. The views are beautiful.
Great Louisburg Rental Nice comfortable house in good condition and location therefore would recommend. Thanks Siobhan
This little cottage served our needs very well. Such a beautiful spot, we were blown away by its location. Lacking in a few kitchen necessities, like scissors, any decent bug knives and a cheese grater and unfortunately the garden was unusable due to some gardening work that had been started but not finished but overall a wonderful stay.
Very comfortable, homely holiday accomodation. Very welcoming and helpful on-site presence. Well equipped kitchen and ancillary provisions for self catering stay. Great location for touring with lots to see within driveable distance. Mulranny itself has nice restaurants, pubs, a great leisure centre in hotel and very friendly locals. If you get the weather the beach is beside you. The Greenway is on your doorstep. A possible negative is that theres no WiFi. Overall , a great destination for a holiday.
Stoneacre's location in beautiful Leenane, looking out on to Killary fjord, is hard to improve on. The house is extremely comfortable and spacious, with lots of attention given to detail. Another real benefit is the local support from Conor, who looks after the property. The only reason I've given 4 rather than 5 for 'Condition' is because of the cooking facilities. The Aga looks good but isn't used, and the electric cooker in the Utility room is very old, and would benefit from being replaced. Our stay was always going to be too short, really hoping to be there again next year.
This cottage is excellent for getting some peace and quiet and to relax your mind. The surrounding landscape is beautiful. The cottage had everything we needed and was decorated in a very pleasant way. There are lots of great walks and drives within an hour's drive away. We certainly enjoyed our stay there and will be very happy to return some day.
We stayed here for a week in August 2022 having booked very late. The chalet accommodated 4 of us without feeling overcrowded. It provided everything we needed for our holiday. It was a bit bare with all soft furnishings removed for Covid reasons. A few pictures on the walls would give it a bit of character. We only found out about seating area above the house on our last night which was a pity. The location is perfect with a nice walk to Tullycross village on a quiet road. We would really recommend this chalet for someone looking for a base for an activity based stay. Thanks Kenneth and Shiel...more
This is a small apartment probably best suited for a couple. The location is quite remote but still only 10 minutes drive to local village. We walked to Glassilaun and Lettergesh beaches a few times. The garden is nice and the view is stunning.
Stayed here in June 2022 with my wife and parents in law. We loved it! The cottage was beautifully located on the northern shore of Kylemore lake, in an area that is both dark and quiet at night. The host, Geraldine, was friendly and helpful, and she even allowed us to plug our Electric Vehicle in at the house to charge it. The cottage was close to Kylemore Abbey, Letterfrack and Connemara National Park, but Clifden and even Westport in County Mayo were perfectly doable in terms of driving time.
Our rental home was fabulous, it had everything you would need for a long term stay. Despite relentless rain and wind we were very comfortable here and our host Beatrice was so knid and friendly. The only thing I would say is that the house was a little pricey and you would need to share the cost with other people. However, it was a haven for all the family and we loved our stay..
We were very happy in a very comfortable house in a good location, ten minutes from Clifden. We will be back again.
Nice and clean apartment in the middle of town. Expect some music and party "noise" during the evening as the apartment is just above a restaurant. i'll use this appartement again without doubt.
House was nice ish but couldn't drink the water even boiled water so not great for kids . Kitchen had no bowls also not great for kids . Had to take all the rocks out of the windows because my 2 year old though it was a good idea to throw them around the house . travel cot arrived with bailing twine wrapped around it which wasn't a problem but it was also broken . Garden looks like it was never cut and drive way was all grown over scratch our car every time we tried to leave has some issue getting up the drive on the wet days because of all the leaves . velux windows had no blinds so sleeping ...more
This was pure Heaven Brian Casey was such a fantastic Host. He welcomed us warmly . Aine had scones brown bread butter and homemade jam there on our arrival . Fresh eggs every day too. We were a Family of 6 and couldn’t have picked a nicer place than Cleggan . When ever we return this is where we’ll stay . Thank you Brian
Four words: perfect house, perfect holidays! We had a wonderful time there. Bright, nicely furnished house, great kitchen, lots of crockery and accessories, comfortable beds. Beautiful views. Quiet. With a car about 10 min to pubs, restaurants, beaches. Just one small blemish: the low water pressure in the shower and bathroom should be improved.
The cottage is in a fantastic location with stunning views over sea and mountain. It is a former farmer’s cottage and retains much of its unique character and features. A memorable stay.
We had a wonderful time in Gannoughs cottage, the house was fabulous, everything there you could possibly need. The location is amazing, Thank you.
This is obviously a much loved family holiday home, and it is a beautiful location between 2 super beaches. The kitchen and living area is comfortable and well equipped and there are lovely ‘extras’ like logs for the stove, board games and fishing rods. It technically sleeps 8 but realistically it probably only works for a max of 4 adults with some children - there is only one shower and no bath, and there are not enough chairs to seat 8 people.
It is a very nice place to stay as the view from the cottage on the sea is wonderfull. The cottage is very well equipped. The caretaker is very efficient and helpfull. Nevertheless there is room for improvement; the heating system is poor: the command for the heating is remote and as far as I understood, only the owner is allowed to change the program (hours of heat and temperature). The day you want to stay at the cottage, you will have no heating at some hours. There is stove though but you have to buy the wood or peat
We had a wonderful stay at Caher house and were welcome by Theresa whom was always reachable on the phone if needed - the location is easy to find and in front of a small lake - about 15min from Clifden city which is perfect to plan activities in Connemara area. Count almost one hour though to rallye Galway but honestly Clifden beats it for authenticity and pubs like Lowry's just make it a place to go. The house is huge and over equipped with multiple bath/shower/toilets which is perfect for a stay with multiple couples - but there is a twin room which could be fine for kids. Would definitivel...more
We stayed in this house for a week and could not fault it. It was spotlessly clean and had everything. It's an older house so it only has 1 bathroom but this didn't cause us any problems as a family of 6. It's in good condition. It is close to the road but with trees in front of the house it provides plenty of screening so it's not noisy. There's a massive garden so loads of room for the kids to kick a ball in. House may not be suitable for very young kids ie toddlers. House is very close to some beautiful beaches and is very well located. 4 decent sized bedrooms the house can comfortably slee...more
We had a wonderful week at the cottage..Moira was so welcoming & lovely..This is truly a special hideaway in beautiful Nature..So quiet but just a 2 min drive or 10 min walk to the most spectacular beaches in Ireland..Wild, Stunning Connemara's Atlantic & Mountainous weather patterns are constantly changing & the diffrrening shades of colour and light makes this such a sought after destination..The Majestic Mountains surround the cottage adding to the uniqueness of this little gem of find for lucky enough to stay here. Highly recommended
We had a great stay in this house. Very spacious, clean and stocked with good quality amenities. Location is superb right across from Mannin Beach. Lovely part of the world! No issues and easy to deal with owner/agent. Would highly recommend.
The cottage is situated on a hill overlooking Dogs Bay with spectacular views from the front door. It is between two properties but still private and very cosy. Less than 10 min walk from the beautiful beaches and dunes of dogs bay, and only a few mins drive from the lovely village of Roundstone. Ellie was a super helpful and accommodating host. I highly recommend this cottage to experience the beauty of Connemara.
Silver Strand House is a great house for big group , or families to stay in Mayo. The view looking over the bay and out at the island off the Mayo coast is beautiful. The house has plenty of cooking equipment, delph etc to cater for large numbers, with space outside for children to play, and storage for bikes etc in the garage. The owner, Catherine is friendly, welcoming and helpful.
Nice location, in a beautiful part of Connemara. Very quiet with spendid bay view. Luxurious cottage with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
We liked the stay and the house very much. Garden furniture was unfortunately not available. With garden furniture and barbecue the whole would have been unsurpassable. Very quiet place, well suited for relaxation and reflection. Very beautiful landscape We can recommend the house.
Comfortable house convenient to hotel and short walk to the beach. Beautiful location with view of the lake.
As timeshare owners we appreciate the upgrade work that has taken place both within the property and to the approach avenue/roadway - no more pot holes is a great plus.. The cushions and dining chair fabric seats urgently need to be re-upholstered as they are frayed and shabby and let the dining area down, so hopefully this is on the list for the coming winter maintenance. We always bring rinse aid with us for the dishwasher and this is always, in our experience, in need of replenishing the machine also indicated that it needed salt so I hope someone keeps this under review. Par contre vue mer assez éloignée et ca...more
On arrival at the property we discovered the agent was not expecting us so the house key was not there and after several phone calls we eventually got in when the house keeper arrived. The house had not been cleaned and no beds made up. The fridge was dirty and no loo paper or kitchen paper etc supplied. The agent did give us a refund in fairness but 1st impressions are so important. Also we had no TV or microwave available
Great location by the beach, and only 10 minutes drive into Clifden - a good base for exploring Connemara. Kitchen was well equipped, and beds were comfy. A good destination to switch off and enjoy the local area for a week, so many great places to visit nearby
I was cold at night due to a summer duvet being on the bed and no extra blankets available. Also mattress was bad quality so ended up with a bad crick in my neck and back. Because of this I would most likely not recommend it to others.
Tilegrout in de upstairs shower were dirty and around the door it was black and the ceiling moldy. the seat in the downstairs bathroom was loose and the windows were dirty. There were drops of paint all over the floors. In the pictures on the website it looks perfect but that is disappointing. Your organization should check the houses more. The beds were clean and perfect, everything was there in the kitchen what you need and all crystal clear clean. The housekeeper Bruce Lennie is a very nice person
Although the house was comfortable enough, the shower barely dribbled and there wasn’t enough hot water for 2 baths so I’ve no idea how 6 would manage. The view of the sea is completely blocked by trees and so you just see a field. Very poor value I thought for an expensive house rental.
This apartment is down a small alley next to a pub. The location was great as it was only a few minutes drive from Kylemore Abbey and you could walk to Connemara National park. However, the property itself was very damp and cold. Constantly lots of moisture on the bathroom floors. There was loads of webs and spiders around the apartment when we arrived so we had to clean it ourselves before we unpacked.
