Beautiful home, well-cared for and maintained beautifully. Wonderful location. Lovely views, and just an outstanding place to stay! Couldn’t fault it. Cosy living room, great kitchen and quality appliances. Lovely bright spaces, modern bathrooms etc. Loved it, and can’t wait to return. P.s. Would be great if there was a lighter duvet in the main bedroom, as it was intolerably hot for summer (13.5 tog), but that’s a small issue!
Really great location, apartment was lovely. Marie was an excellent friendly and helpful host. Beaches were gorgeous and everyone was friendly. Would really recommend the apartment and location.
Beautiful location, the house is very comfortable, extremely well equipped and with every home comfort and more. Within walking distance to Sweeneys Pub, shop and post office. Stunning views of Omey Island from the House. External seats and chairs from which to enjoy the view or barbeques. The house is spotless and well cared for and though we have been here more than 4 times, each time the owners have added or updated the house to improve it further. Couldn't recommend it highly enough.
This is a really well equipped house in a fantastic location for exploring Connemara. Beautiful view of Omey Island from the house which is just a short walk away and a great way to start the day. Enjoyed a week here with lovely weather (no wind or rain). Cleggan Roundstone and Clifden all within easy access for a change of scene and an opportunity to enjoy the beautiful seafood. The only addition I would suggest would be somewhere to store bikes. However we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to be back.
What a fabulous spot, amazing views, walking distance to the water and Tullycross village. Everything you might need provided, home from home without a doubt. Thank you Fiona and Pat.
This house is very comfortable and homely . It has gorgeous views from the patio area at the rear of the house with a lovely bbq area with tables and seating. The location being so close to Ballyconneely village is fantastic. I would recommend it to anyone renting in the area.
We spent a week in Mayo just outside Louisburgh. The property we stayed in was beautiful, very well maintained, bright and clean and had everything we required. Our hosts were very nice and helpful. We would definitely return to this property and beautiful Mayo.
Being greeted by the owner was great and helpful. The house was located in a wonderful position overlooking the beach and Atlantic. Inside the house was spotless and contained all facilities necessary to ensure that our stay was enjoyable. We had a lovely week despite the weather. We will return
We were all very happy at Hillview and found it to be a lot better than we’d expected - Good expectation management you might say! Unusually I actually suggest you might be well served in taking some new photos of the house which show how spacious it is, how many people can fit around the kitchen table etc, as we felt we needed to bring with us by car from the UK extra tables and chairs (not necessary!) However it would be helpful if there were a larger freezer as catering for a large family group day by day on holiday can be quite a task - We actually drove over with our own freezer! That was...more
We’ve had an amazing time in Ballyconneely. The house was perfect for our family, ie enough bedrooms to sleep roughly 20 people, spacious/modern kitchen and sitting rooms. The host and caretakers were friendly, very helpful and easily to contact via mobile and email. Everyone from 6 months of age to 82 years enjoyed the stay. Thank you!
This is a fab house plenty of room clean stunning views and the host cudnt have Been more helpful definitely stay here again absolutely fabulous hse
We, a group of 4 adults with two dogs, stayed in August 2021. Mary was very welcoming and helpful. The house is very comfortable with plenty of modern amenities available. The beach is about a 10/15 min walk from the house. Beautiful location and views. A true piece of Connemara.
This is my 2nd stay to An Sean Teach and it feels like home! Gorgeous house full of character and comfort. This is an ideal spot to explore Connemara. It was ideal for us as we could bring our dog with us. They even left some shopping for us which was a lovely surprise. I plan to return again next year!
Very comfortable cottage in a great location stocked with everything we needed and very carefully looked after by Adele, who was very friendly and available if needed. We would love to come back.
This property is of the highest standard. The view and location are stunning. We were comfortable and delighted with the host, the booking agent and the house itself. A surprisingly steep driveway turned out to be perfectly manageable and not a bother. Highly recommended!
this was a great place, loved separate bathrooms in all rooms. were I coming back I would try to book the same place.
Stayed in the Chalet in aug 21. Spotlessly clean. Comfy beds and couch. Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. There was milk, water and tea and coffee left for us. Thanks Sheila. Peaceful location, great views from main bedroom over mountains. Beautiful beaches nearby. I would highly recommend this accommodation. Lots to do locally and we got great weather, which was a bonus .
Real traditional Irish Cottage. Kids loved the upstairs loft to sleep in. Couple of kms walk into Cleggan Town or down to Claddaghduff. Only thing we would change is the hedging to be cut back. Very hard exiting the property and trying to see out onto the narrow road.
This is almost definitely one of the lovliest cottages in which we have ever stayed in probably one of the most magic of settings with absolutely stunning views in our favorite and most loved part of the country. The owner was extremely welcoming. thoughtful and really could not have done more for us. We very much hope to return soon!
Stoneacre's location in beautiful Leenane, looking out on to Killary fjord, is hard to improve on. The house is extremely comfortable and spacious, with lots of attention given to detail. Another real benefit is the local support from Conor, who looks after the property. The only reason I've given 4 rather than 5 for 'Condition' is because of the cooking facilities. The Aga looks good but isn't used, and the electric cooker in the Utility room is very old, and would benefit from being replaced. Our stay was always going to be too short, really hoping to be there again next year.
Lovely cottage in a gorgeous location. Close to several beaches and ideal for touring North connemara and south Mayo.
Brilliant stay in an very well equipped apartment. Beautiful views over roundstone Harbour. The apartment was extremely comfortable & we look forward to returning again.
Great location and very near cleggan Town and beach. Great facilities at the house. Wonderful stay for families with plenty of room
Perfect house for us, family of 4. lovely quiet beach beside the house and very convenient for lots of things to do in Connemara, close to Clifden too. Scenery is beautiful. We intend to return.
We had a fantastic week in Kylemore Lake Cottage. The cottage has stunning views and is so comfortable and clean and had everything we needed including turf and logs for the fire. Geraldine the owner was very friendly and helpful. Our dog Charlie enjoyed it too we will definitely be returning in the future. Thanks to Siobhan in Connemara Costal Cottages who was so kind and helpful
We were very happy in a very comfortable house in a good location, ten minutes from Clifden. We will be back again.
We could not have wished for a nicer place to have our break. The setting was so beautiful. The cottage itself was very cosy with all the comforts one likes and generously 'kitted out' with all that was needed. It was a real treat to spend time here, we could not have wished for more..
House was perfect for my family size and needs. Well stocked crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. Beautiful location.
The cottage is a short walk from the village in a very quite location. Visiters have their own hens and can collected eggs everyday, a nice touch. Despite being behind a bigger property there are good views of the sea and the village. There is a small beach just across the road. We would stay there again.
The house was spotless with lots of attention to detail. It is obviously a house that is loved by the owner.Nuala met us to give us the keys and was available if needed but didn't put in or out on us. As everything was left so well laid out and organised there was no need to contact her all week. The outdoor patio area was a lovely place to eat and relax and had a beautiful view. The house had everything needed to cook our own meals and was well equipped with cleaning products. We will definitely be returning when we get the chance.
We had a wonderful stay at Caher house and were welcome by Theresa whom was always reachable on the phone if needed - the location is easy to find and in front of a small lake - about 15min from Clifden city which is perfect to plan activities in Connemara area. Count almost one hour though to rallye Galway but honestly Clifden beats it for authenticity and pubs like Lowry's just make it a place to go. The house is huge and over equipped with multiple bath/shower/toilets which is perfect for a stay with multiple couples - but there is a twin room which could be fine for kids. Would definitivel...more
Provide Instruction sheets(or booklet) in English & key foreign languages on use of: 1) Cooker 2) Heating system 3) Garbage collection /Bags etc 4} Unit rate to be paid for ESB & oil 5) A list of restaurant, food outlets & pubs in locale. Attractions& all form of age group activities. There is no official or signed Tourist Office in Clifden. Old Office closed ( May open for July/Aug?) Supply leaflets to the house. The house was excellent for a family needs& Angela de Courcy was welcoming , friendly & helpful
Family visit for one week in this beautiful cottage. Greeted by a log fire on entry. 4 adults & 2 children were very comfortable.Very convenient to restaurants & licensed premises. Taxi available from pier. Advisable to book in advance. We’ll be back
Beautiful house in idyllic location. Very spacious with plenty of seating for all. Only drawback was the beds. We found them uncomfortable and in need of new better quality mattresses.
We stayed in this house for a week and could not fault it. It was spotlessly clean and had everything. It's an older house so it only has 1 bathroom but this didn't cause us any problems as a family of 6. It's in good condition. It is close to the road but with trees in front of the house it provides plenty of screening so it's not noisy. There's a massive garden so loads of room for the kids to kick a ball in. House may not be suitable for very young kids ie toddlers. House is very close to some beautiful beaches and is very well located. 4 decent sized bedrooms the house can comfortably slee...more
We had a wonderful stay in Westry Cottage. The location is perfect for anyone looking to get away from it all - no internet, TV or phone signal (unless you sit in the window seat) - it was just what we were looking for. The cottage is fairly basic but had everything we needed for a week and the views across the lough to the mountain provided us with all the entertainment we needed as we watched the constantly changing weather patterns sweep by. While the location of the cottage is secluded it is also within easy reach of Connemara's many attractions - a beautiful beach just a couple of km aw...more
Preston's cottage is a great house providing much more space than you would think from looking at its front side. Very well appointed and meticulously clean, we felt immediately at home. Great location for exploring Connemara and a great view over bertraghboy boy from the property. Siobhán and Barbara were a pleasure to deal with and everything went avsolutely moothly despite the Covid pandemic and its effect on baically every aspect of travel. Only small downside: some of the matttresses could do with a replacement. All in all, highly recommended.
This is a lovely cottage with fantastic views in a great location. We are a family of 5 and the cottage was well equipped for us lots of crockery, cutlery, tea cloths, towels and storage. The kids (8,9 &11) loved having their own room upstairs and the area at the top of the stairs was big enough for them to make it into a play area/den for themselves. Although it was August the weather was mixed and the cottage was a little cold some evenings but having the stove was great and we lit it most nights which made it very cosy. I was concerned from the photos that the living/dining space might be a...more
The house was very cold and the fire and radiators made little impression on the coldness; thank goodness for the electric blanket. I wish we had known about no TV as we would normally have watched quite a bit and no wifi either. We would not be renting this one again.
It was really a wonderful week in this remote, idyllic place. Miriam, the caretaker was so kind and gave us lots of tipps and invited us to local activities! The location is perfect for walking tours or for exploring connemara, although its about 20 min drive away from the next beautiful beaches...We really enjoyed it and recommend the ccc, they were very tolerant with our booking process, because we tapped into a fake flight booking website...
The house itself was fantastic. It is very clean, maintained and had a great layout. The single beds were very soft for my liking. According to the website we could access the lake from the house, but after several attempts we gave up. We were met by large streams and high fencing and steep drops. We found this very disappointing as this was one of the main reasons for selecting the property. The closest villages from the house was also a good spin by car away,.
Wonderful location for points east, west, south and north! House is in shade of overhanging trees, which could be good in a heatwave. Very convenient Woodfire Pizzeria across the road. -- 2 downsides: we could only get one ring of the four-ring gas hob to light and the mattress on the ensuite bed was in poor condition (should be replaced).
Traditional Irish cottage in an almost idyllic location far from the madding crowd. Loved living a humble lifestyle. The cottage has everything one needs.. Fabulous walks and awesome views everywhere.
Beautiful location there are just a few things that should be sorted with the property. The house has damp on the inner walls in the bedrooms which leave a musty smell not good for people with chest ailments. The incline up to the gate badly needs repairing as there is a large pothole and a lot of loose gravel that cause the wheels to spin as you drive through the gate. The heating within the cottage needs to be updated it states on a laminated piece of paper on the wall in the kitchen that the fire heats the back boiler which it certainly doesnt. I found that out when the immersion switch wen...more
The cottage was basic but clean and cosy and well stocked with basic requirements. The location overlooking probably the best beach in the world is ideal for a beach/sea lover like me. Barbados with a Connemara backdrop is my description. Only one experience under par and this has nothing to do with the accomadation . I like to eat out at night on holidays and I expected more choice in Roundstone .I fully appreciate that Covid restrictions played a part but hotel restaurants were closed and the renowned O'Dowd's whilst good for chowder and crab claws, the menu disappointed otherwise and sta...more
The house is a lovely spacious house, we were 4 adults, teenager & baby and space wasn't an issue. We needed to call the owner to clarify location & they were very helpful & kind. The house itself is very very remote. It is a solid 10 minute drive from the village & the road is not safe to walk so thats not an option. The road to the house itself is just the width of one car so if you meet anything it means someone reversing to the closest gateway. These are not necessarily negatives I just would have preferred knowing in advance exactly how remote the house was. There are sheep wandering free...more
Par contre vue mer assez éloignée et ca...more
The cottage at claddaghduff was very quaint and surprisingly cosy and comfortable. Our 2 small kids loved the idea of the tatch roof and keeping an eye out over the fabulous view of Omey strand to see if the tide was in or out!! They never once missed the TV and its absence contributed in a really memorable family holiday. The walk down to Omey strand and to Sweeneys shop and bar are just perfect. WIFI is extremely good... House was very well kitted out and had everything we needed for our stay. Beds and bedding were super cosy and everywhere just felt really clean and fresh when we arrived....more
I stayed in this house with three other family members for a week in August 2021. It's a very clean, tidy, compact and comfortable house in a very quiet and private location. We didn't expect WIFI so the 11 year old was thriilled to discover the box on the wall when we arrived. The road where it's located is a cul-de-sac so very few cars passing and dead quiet at nighttime. Shortly across the main road there is a beautiful long mountain looped road leading up to Maiméan - however care is required when crossing the main road as it's extremely busy - but once you get across it's a pleasure to wa...more
This very spacious house is ideal for a large group/family. It is located near beautiful mountains for walking, beaches fishing, Kylemore Abbey, Clifden Leenaun to name a few. The house is a student house and needs to be upgraded for tourist market. Some utilities were not working - one shower, cooker, lightbulbs missing, dryer clogged. However the host was most accommodating to help make our stay enjoyable. Recommended on the understanding of foregoing comments being rectified
This apartment is down a small alley next to a pub. The location was great as it was only a few minutes drive from Kylemore Abbey and you could walk to Connemara National park. However, the property itself was very damp and cold. Constantly lots of moisture on the bathroom floors. There was loads of webs and spiders around the apartment when we arrived so we had to clean it ourselves before we unpacked.
