Claddaghduff cottage was in a beautiful location with a sandy beach within very short walking distance. Clifden, a 20 minute drive away, was great for restaurants and shopping.
fabulous house, very comfortable, superbly stocked and in a beautiful part of the country. Highly recommended
Excellent location to explore the coast of Ireland. Very peaceful. We enjoyed the quiet, but appreciated the local pubs & restaurants. Thanks for a GREAT week.
Spacious comfortable house in a nice location. Well equipped with big garden for the kids to play inext. Unlike a lot of rentals the bedrooms and beds were big and comfortable. A drawback for us was that the house is not pet friendly but given the quality of the house it is understandable.
We had a great week and only wish we had longer. Pj and Veronica were very helpful with any queries we had. Pj lent us his sons goal post which delighted our 2 boys. The house was immaculate and provided all we needed. Loved waking to the sound of the sea and the amazing views!
Stayed here for two nights. Had been contacted a few days before and advised how to get keys so all worked out easy. Had my wife, mother and nephew with me so three rooms was great. Bed was comfy, great kitchen facilities and we were delighted with our stay. Only minus was the WiFi which barely worked. Molly's bar next door had Guinness of supreme quality. Would definitely stay here again.
Look no further you have found the best accommodation you could wish for. When we first arrived at the cottage I walked around to the well sized back garden to confirm we had arrived at the correct cottage and I was completely overwhelmed with the view, just wow! Then on to the cottage itself, it is perfection. It has all you need and some from the more than well equipped kitchen, to the comfort of the beds and sofas. Blankets to snuggle under in the sunroom with the beautiful view across Cleggan bay and harbour, where we got to enjoy breakfast in the morning while the children played in the...more

Great service, very convenient access to town and great accommodation! Highly recommend for short or longer stay,
Lovely large house with loads of character, beautiful outlook and good location to explore Galway/Connemara. The house stands in its own grounds providing privacy and is not far from a small shop and petrol station. A car is of course a requirement. Bedrooms are large and comfortable and the kitchen well equipped for preparing and serving family meals. We would thoroughly recommend.
We as a family particularly chose Cleggan as we were returning after a ten year break from Connemara and had very fond memories and it certainly has not changed staying in Cleggan was perfect for us to tour Connemara and as all the pubs were lively with Irish music the house was ideal and location excellent
We had a lovely reunion in Murlach Lodge, the house is absolutely beautiful, the location is very convenient and the landlady is brilliant.
we had a great week in Roundstone...despite the October weather! the apartment was lovely - fab views and it's great to have a dog friendly apartment so close to everything. Local pubs and hotels were excellent for food and welcoming craic!
House beautiful. Owner really welcoming and helpful. Location good . Only downsides were exiting the driveway onto road was a llittle dangerous as could not see properly . Also no mobile phone coverage . Overall though a fantastic house .
The house is an extremely comfortable place to stay and has all that you need. Rooms are spacious and the bathrooms have great showers. Location is good and the views are nice. Very clean. Bread and chocolates were there to welcome us on our arrival which was a nice touch. One thing to be aware of there is that there is not room for 8 people to sit on comfortable chairs in main room but this was not a problem for us. Communication with the owner was good. Thank you for a great stay in Connemara.
Have been to this cottage 2 or 4 times and enjoyed every visit. While the cottage provides the solitude I seek it is also close to good restaurants pubs and shops. Many terrific walking opportunities within either walking distance or a short drive from the cottage. Great for a couple with an occasional guest in the second bedroom. Definitely recommend this place for a peaceful holiday
We loved this cottage. Great location, beautiful views, and very comfortable. Lovely beach just across the field.
A beautiful peaceful setting overlooking the sea on the Sky Road. The owner was very helpful to ensure we had what we needed and to check in the week that we were ok. Three bedrooms with little ensuite each was perfect. Beds very comfortable. We loved seeing the newborn calf with its mum in the field adjacent to the property. Many thanks to Josephine for our lovely stay.
The location of the apartment is excellent with plenty of amenities, restaurants, bars and a very good supermarket all within walking distance. We had everything we needed in the apartment although it is quite basic (no frills). Very near to Connemmara National Park (well worth a visit), and lovely mountains and coastline. We would love to return soon.
Second time we have stayed in this property. Beautiful house with amazing views of mountains and sea. Wonderfully spacious master bedroom and living area. Lovely wood burning stove and walk in showers. Brilliant base for exploring Connemara! Great that it's dog friendly too.
Nice cottage, a little basic in the kitchen but fine for the three of us. Great location & fabulous area
We loved the Well house. The cottage itself was perfect for our family of 5 with 3 adult children. The area of Cashel though is the big delight. We absolutely loved it and will definitely be back.
We had a very nice couple of days at cottage 286, good spacious layout, nice and clean. Well fitted out, the web pictures don't do the decor justice. Near the end of a quite lane and within walking distance of the sea. We will definitely be back !! The outside area is not completed yet, while was fine for us but would not be suitable for small children as there is no secure garden for them to run.
Good place to visit Connemara. The house was nice and functional. Calm and a good view of Clifden. 150 meters to pubs and other services.
Nice cottage with a good layout. Everything you need for a holiday exist. I missed some usefull information for foreigner and instruction how to use the equipment (heater, TV...). Maybe we come back.
We have 3 children under the age of 7. The house was so spacious and comfortable with lots of games provided for the children. It was a safe walk to the beach where the children thoroughly enjoyed the freedom etc. We definitely would consider returning again.
Good apartments, surrounding views are poor as town location. Great parking, apartments have been well taken care of. The only suggestion would be to replace grouting around bath. The area is absolutely beautiful.
We had a wonderful stay at Caher house and were welcome by Theresa whom was always reachable on the phone if needed - the location is easy to find and in front of a small lake - about 15min from Clifden city which is perfect to plan activities in Connemara area. Count almost one hour though to rallye Galway but honestly Clifden beats it for authenticity and pubs like Lowry's just make it a place to go. The house is huge and over equipped with multiple bath/shower/toilets which is perfect for a stay with multiple couples - but there is a twin room which could be fine for kids. Would definitivel...more
Me and my family stayed for a week (6 of us) and it was amazing. Great safe beach across the road for the kids. Lovely food in the local pub. If there was one down side it was the house was so big we needed more family with us :-) I will be returning as soon as I can.
Sun, rain, wind, hail, snow, thunder and lightning did not spoil our 4th visit as it never lasted long before another season arrived. With the right waterproof clothing and foot wear our enjoyment of the area and it's amazing beaches, which are almost deserted at this time of year, was never under threat. We also found lots of good places to eat in Clifden, which is not far away if you don't go along the coast. Even in the worst of the weather the cottage was very cosy, the wood burner had us toasty and if you're not into starting fires the heating is very efficient in the cottage and provide...more
I have stayed in this property many times before and it is ideal in its location right in the village so no driving required if you enjoy a pint. Could use a bit of a re furb to bring it up to date, better tv, there is no hairdryer and only the bare minimum of kitchen equipment. Its fine for me but I think a family would struggle. The booking service is great and they are always available on site to help.
The cottage was very good. All you need is inside. The host baked a bread for us, it tasted wonderful. And she provided extra a bottle of wine, tea and coffee in the cottage. Thank you very much for the real nice stay.
Beautiful, remote cottage, small but everything you need for two. Spectacular surroundings. Nice fireplace. There are some nice walks that start from Rosroe. We did part of the famine relief road one day, walked to Glassilaun beach another. Only a short (but scenic) drive from Leenane on one side and Letterfrack on the other. We enjoyed the sheep seeking shelter by the house & the cheeky cats steeling fish from the harbour. I saw a seal right from the window once.
Good house everything provided that you could need although no gates so daughter couldn't really play outside. Road to it needs a little TLC. But would recommend it.
Amazing location, lovely cottage with absolutely everything you could want provided in with the price.
My one fault with the house was the big hedge in front of house you couldn't see the view kids couldn't play in garden unless you were out with them because of hedge so for that reason I wouldn't go back to house...
This was a clean convenient apartment within easy reach of shop, restaurants and Connemara attractions. Reasonably well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds, sofas etc. Good hot water supply.Friendly caretaker. Main problem was unreliable internet wi-fi which failed on Sunday morning..we could not contact the lady manager until Monday and it wasn't fixed until later on Tuesday and we left early Thursday so for well over half the stay we had no proper internet.
There are some nice aspects to this cottage, it's location for one as well as accepting dogs for another. Access to a great beach is easy and the cottage is only a mile or so from the small and attractive village of Roundstone. However, as I understand from the owner, the cottage has been rented for about 35 years and some of the fixtures and fittings are clearly of that age or older. It is described as basic, which it is; the fridge and washing machine are old and the gas cooker even more so. There is a problem with damp in one of the bedrooms which results in a rather unpleasant smell. ...more
It was the ideal place to visit Connemara specially with a kid. The cottage was verry charming and the owner too.
It is a lovely house in a stunning locations however there were some issues that need attention. There is no bin outside the property and we were told we had to keep the bins inside the house as rodents/foxes could get at them. After a week we had to go to the caretaker who was very helpful and informed her the bins need to be moved elsewhere as the stench was making us feel ill. The bins were kept in the utility room which is between the kitchen and the children's Bedroom which is not suitable. This property urgently requires an outside bin to store refuse. There are two showers in th...more
The location was perfect, beach, mountains, town, various villages all in easy reach. Very comfortable though the interior has a somewhat neglected feel about it. Not wonderfully organized for a guest residence. But nothing so far as to say inconvenient, just scattered. The structure itself is great I just think a little more care could be put into setting the place up as a rental.
Been here twice and we'll come back again. Clean, reasonably well equipped, tucked away in paradise!
Good for what I wanted could do with more comfortable seating otherwise good and comfortable when weather is bad qqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqaqqqqqqqqq
It was a wonderful stay. No TV, no WIFI and real relationships with the children. The adress is : "Stephen Cottage" near Salrock and the Little Killary. We follow the Garmin and arrived at Tully Cross. After Galway you must follow the informations of Connemara Coastal cottage . It's early in the tourism season and the cottage was cold, after one day it was Ok . The Glassillaun beach was wonderful and Lough Fee, Lough Muck, Kylemore Lough, many activities and many differents landscape. The people, Evelyn the first was patients, helpfull and really nice.
This cottage is in a stunning location and we loved admiring the views and wildlife and this alone makes it worth staying. The accommodation is well equipped and there are nice touches like providing binoculars. Although sleeps 8, the living accommodation is a little small and there is not enough room to seat 8 at table. The twin bedrooms are up a small but very steep staircase which would be unsuitable for anyone with mobility problems and the bathroom is quite a distance from these bedrooms. We really enjoyed our stay here and it is a true taste of Connemara.
Kitchen and living room maybe need a renovation. Location is good, refilling of electricity credit maybe is not well advised in the website, so it was a surprise for us. Quiet place and allowed us to rest.
Clean and confortable appartment in Connemara but a bit noisy as it is situated in the Letterfrack main road/street and close to the pubs. More than 4 cutleries would be appreciated.
