What a fantastic place, we had 4 of the houses for my 60th, the Forge was a special oasis for me and my wife to escape to. Everything was perfect, and Mel made sure we had everything we needed.
We are already looking at our 2026 diaries to return to this beautifully situated and comfortable cottage . A lovely discovery set in a beautiful Herefordshire estate but very private with glorious views overlooking vineyards and orchards teeming with wildlife. We were welcomed by Mel , the property’s manager who answered our queries promptly and looked after us very well . We loved the quiet and the privacy of this house and can’t wait to return.
Spent Christmas week here with family from Canada - really set up for a small family gathering, complete with Christmas Tree and log burner! Kitchen was very well stocked with all the plates you’d need and a large fridge. Beautiful welcome hamper with local delights. No coffee machine, but was a French Press which was well used. Mel was amazing in responding to our needs as we arrived. I’d love to revisit in summer - must be beautiful to stay with all the extra activities. This was our first weekend away as a book club and we all had a fabulous time staying in The Sherriffs, which was perfect for our needs. We loved sitting around the kitchen table enjoying meals together and doing a murder mystery. The lounge was perfect for gathering in the evenings and relaxing in the hot tub was a bonus after a busy day. The grounds were beautiful and we enjoyed watching the wildlife nearby and sitting in the sunshine (we were very lucky with the weather).
