The Colloquy is an exclusive-use venue located at the heart of the Whittern Estate. It is a stunning conversion of the Estate's Victorian stable-yard, which now enjoys modern luxury and excellent leisure facilities. Designed with imagination and flair, these historic Victorian stable buildings use space to its best advantage, creating a very special environment for business or pleasure.
I've just come back from a weekend at white heron estate, staying in the colloquy, forge and lodge as a group of 23 adults for my 40th birthday. Myself and all my friends who were staying, were blown away with the property and the facilities. We made full use of the hot tub, pool and even the squash court. We have had an amazing weekend celebrating and are all sad to be home . We hadn't realised how perfect the property was going to be for our gatsby themed Saturday night. I wanted to thank you for all the hamper goodies and extras that were left ! Thankyou for helping me make my belated 40th...more
The Forge is a spacious, well-designed & comfortable, chic place to stay.
We found all the things we really needed were supplied on the holiday which is a great touch instead of running out of supplies or needing a teabag on arrival. It was thoughtfully provided. We enjoyed the local cheese as well!
It is lovely to have your own private space outside and the garden was fabulous. My children loved the swimming pool. We all want to come back again. There was plenty of interest to us in the surrounding area: we saw the red kite display, farm animals, went horseriding, visited Hampton Cou...more
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Colloquy. The bedrooms were impressive and spacious, as well as the living areas, and the extra amenities were fantastic. Fortunately, we experienced some sunny, warm weather whilst there, and we made good use of the garden, swimming pool, hot tub, table tennis, and even the squash court. All this was enjoyed amongst the lovely rolling Herefordshire countryside. Will definitely recommend.
We booked the Sheriffs almost 2 years ago to get all the family together to celebrate 2 significant birthdays. Recent events meant the visit was delayed and rather than a summer break we had an Autumn break. Since booking a Hot Tub has been installed, which was a big favourite with a lot of the group. The weather was not brilliant but this didn't stop us setting out for a short walk on the Saturday. The accommodation was perfect for our requirements and we all loved the old house and its location. We were able to seat 16 Adults and a small child round the dining room and the kitchen was per...more
The location of the property was lovely with great views from the decked terrace. The property itself felt rather dated and shabby however. The sofas were uncomfortable and the faux fur throws were off putting. The kitchen really needs updating although it was well stocked with equipment.
The shower doors of the over bath shower are too short to prevent water from the shower spraying out beyond the doors so had to stand against the wall to stop too much water spraying onto the floor. There was no hair dryer provided which is very unusual in my experience of using self catering cottages over...more
