We love the open plan layout of the Forge, the private garden area + access to the much larger gardens on the complex and use of the outdoor pool. The main bedroom is lovely with a huge comfy bed, free standing bath, doors opening onto the garden, and cute en suite. We found that more attention to detail was required on the cleaning front and the property needs some cosmetic maintenance indoors and out. Clearly there has been a leak above the boiler at some point and the water damage staining has been left, including not having been cleaned from the front of the washing machine. One problem ...more
A beautiful location with fine walks. We had marvellous weather which made it even better. Super clean and help on hand whenever needed. Can’t recommend this lovely cottage more highly.

Our second time at The Sherriffs was delightful. It is a grand old place with plenty of character. It has no pretence, it is not high luxury, but it is perfectly comfortable for a country holiday. It is large enough that the family, of all ages, can be together to enjoy each others company, but also be apart for quieter times and for a breather. The outside table meant all 17 of us could eat outdoors more often than inside. Direct access to be able to walk in the fields and enjoy the wildlife/field surrounds is a special bonus.
