We have returned from a fabulous stay in The Cairn in Kilmartin. The location, opposite the museum (a must visit) was just perfect to explore the area. The flat had everything we could have wanted including a large porch that enabled us to clean dogs after walks and store our wet gear. It did rain! It was also gorgeous, light filled and felt like a home from home. The pub, a couple of minutes walk away offered good food and was really friendly. There is a ranfe of lovely walks from the house via the cairns and the museum, up the hill and over to the coast. Caitlin was really helpful...more
We found the cottage to be well equipped, clean and comfortable, with great views from every room of Loch Fyne. We would stay there again.
We had a wonderful stay at Cherry Trees. From kitchen items to blankets and soaps all extras were at hand. The house was clean and warm. We’d like to thank the cleaning crew for keeping the property to such a high standard. We had our collies with us and kept the door to carpeted areas closed to ensure they stayed in the kitchen and enclosed porch. Bringing a dog bed if your pup uses one. We will be coming back in future to Cherry Trees. And highly recommend it to anyone staying in the area.
Lovely, very well equipped cottage - they really have thought of everything you could possibly need.....and more!! The games room was a very welcome addition, especially on wet days! The views are amazing! Inverary is a lovely town, with a variety of eating places.....recommend The George and Brambles.
The Old Schoolhouse was a very cosy, well appointed home located opposite the Loch, an easy 15 min drive to Inverary. The home was comfortably furnished, with central heating, lovely beds / bedding and amenities including Washer / drier (for those wet and muddy days). For our entertainment on rainy days, the conservatory offered a record player and vinyl collection as well as books and games. Recommend Caitlin's place for families. We had a party of six across 3 generations and found the property had plenty of spaces to spread out. Thanks for having us!!
We had a lovely 2 weeks at Quay cottage and the weather was fabulous and much better than expected. The property was as described and very clean and comfortable.
We were looking for somewhere quiet but also centrally located for various ferry ports so we could visit some of he islands. The cottage was perfect, beautifully decorated, warm, comfortable and very quiet. Loved watching the Calmac ferry glide by. Would highly recommend fir anyone wanting to get away from it all!
