We had a fantastic week in Ederline Farm Cottage as a family of four plus dog. The cottage is bigger than we expected and is really well equipped, a real home from home. We loved the countryside location and the kids loved strolling down to the loch to fish - they caught some amazing pike - and also managed some paddle boarding. We also spent an afternoon up at the boathouse - it was a bit of a trek to get there and definitely needed a 4 x 4 to get there but was a beautiful spot. Was a bit too windy for paddeboarding but was a beautiful spot to sit and spend a few hours relaxing with a fire and a glass of wine! Willa was the perfect host and was very responsive when we needed to get in touch.

Despite the weather, the stay was just lovely. Quiet, even though on a farm and we were expecting more 'farm noise'. It's a spacious accomodation in a lovely environment. I like that you can walk the whole estate and we did some walks around it and, particularly, up to the waterfalls, which felt so remote and peaceful. We couldn't bring our hound in the end, as he'd over-done it again and was on restricted walking, but it's a perfect place for bringing your hairy family members along too.

The area is quite remote, but full of amazing countryside and stacks of history for those interested. It's a great base for exploring the peninsula and more. Take provisions, though, as the nearest shop is 30 odd minutes away, which was not an issue for us, but be aware of this.

I'd recommend this for a lovely peaceful stay.

An elegant, well-equipped and comfortable cottage, pleasantly located in the centre of a working farm. There are plenty of walks starting from the cottage, and it is close to the excellent Kilmartin museum and other archaeological sites. Lough Awe with its fine scenery is close by, and there are very good boat trips for wildlife nearby. A very good base to explore this beautiful region of Argyll.

Thank you again for another lovely stay in the Farm Cottage. Excellent location and a well equipped house. It is ideal for a family with three generations. Good size dining table and good-sized living space to spend the evenings in. Very comfortable and clean, warm and homely but without unnecessary items.
Lovely to see the lambs out again and the deer in the woods. Plenty to do in the area and good weather!
