Originally dating back to the 1800s, Clachandubh began life as three shepherds’ dwellings and is now our second-largest cottage by floor space, comfortably accommodating up to six guests.
The accommodation includes a generous super-king or twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom featuring a walk-in shower, bath, basin, and WC. There are two further comfortable twin bedrooms, served by a large family shower room with walk-in shower, basin, and WC.
Unwind in front of Clachandubh’s log burner in the spacious open-plan sitting and dining area, complete with a flat-screen Smart TV, Wi-Fi, and docking station. One large basket of logs is provided for your stay, with additional logs available.
The fully equipped fitted kitchen includes a fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, ceramic hob, coffee filtering machine and double oven—everything you need for relaxed self-catering.
An external boiler room and drying room, fitted with a washing machine, tumble dryer and sink, provides the perfect space to dry off and clean up after a day’s adventures.
This traditional stone cottage is beautifully located beside an old stone bridge over the Clachandubh Burn and benefits from its own enclosed wall garden, open shed, ample parking and a well-stocked log shed.
Clachandubh Cottage is available for short lets, with a minimum stay of four nights. During July and August we aim to offer weekly lets from Saturday to Saturday, though please do enquire—late availability may allow for greater flexibility. Arrival is from 5pm, giving us time to ensure the cottage is fully prepared for your holiday. Guests are very welcome to arrive earlier and head out for a walk if we are still finishing preparations.
A wonderfully spacious cottage, perfect for a family holiday.
