Originally dating back to the 1800s, Clachandubh began life as three shepherds’ dwellings and is now our second-largest cottage by floor space, comfortably accommodating up to six guests.

The accommodation includes a generous super-king or twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom featuring a walk-in shower, bath, basin, and WC. There are two further comfortable twin bedrooms, served by a large family shower room with walk-in shower, basin, and WC.

Unwind in front of Clachandubh’s log burner in the spacious open-plan sitting and dining area, complete with a flat-screen Smart TV, Wi-Fi, and docking station. One large basket of logs is provided for your stay, with additional logs available.

The fully equipped fitted kitchen includes a fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, ceramic hob, coffee filtering machine and double oven—everything you need for relaxed self-catering.

An external boiler room and drying room, fitted with a washing machine, tumble dryer and sink, provides the perfect space to dry off and clean up after a day’s adventures.

This traditional stone cottage is beautifully located beside an old stone bridge over the Clachandubh Burn and benefits from its own enclosed wall garden, open shed, ample parking and a well-stocked log shed.

Clachandubh Cottage is available for short lets, with a minimum stay of four nights. During July and August we aim to offer weekly lets from Saturday to Saturday, though please do enquire—late availability may allow for greater flexibility. Arrival is from 5pm, giving us time to ensure the cottage is fully prepared for your holiday. Guests are very welcome to arrive earlier and head out for a walk if we are still finishing preparations.

A wonderfully spacious cottage, perfect for a family holiday.

The perfect getaway!

A secluded pretty cottage in a beautiful location! Stunning estate with the freedom to roam with only sheep & wildlife for neighbours! Quiet and private with views that make it hard to leave the windows!

Beautifully furnished with a huge inviting sitting room including a wood burner that adds to the cosiness! The cottage was thoughtfully decorated for our Christmas stay with kind Christmas touches including a card
and treats for both humans and dogs alike ! We felt so welcome.

The bed and linen was soo comfy - the best of sleep was had!

We loved exploring the estate and can’t wait to return in the summer to see the estate during another season!

Thank you Willa, Angus and Sophie!

another fantastic week at the Ederline Estate. The cottage was exceptionally welcoming, clean and tidy as always. Lots of things to explore on the estate and surrounding area. If you’re thinking of a holiday cottage in Argyll and Bute, you won’t get better. Return visit already booked. See you soon Willa and Angus

My repeat stay was excellent as always. The log burner was very efficient and the other heating was fine. The WiFi worked well and there was, most of time, good mobile signal.

Five of us spent a wonderful week at beautiful Clachandubh Cottage. The setting is just breathtaking, and the clean and cheerful cottage has been brilliantly kitted out, and is so warm and welcoming. Willa and Angus were very helpful and kind. The homemade flapjacks on arrival were gobbled up very quickly!

Our children particularly loved the birds and the sheep, who were funny and lovely neighbours. The area is stacked full of wonderful places to visit. Highlights were Inveraray, and a visit to Tarbert capped off with a trip on The Waverley paddle steamer. We are excited about our next visit. This really is such a gem of a place. Thank you :-)

We really enjoyed our holiday. The cottage is bright and has a homely feel to it. The cottage is well equipped. The bedrooms are a good size and having 2 bathrooms is a big bonus. You are free to wander the estate, and enjoy some amazing walks locally. The drying room at the end of the cottage is well equipped with washing machine/tumble dryer which is great for all the muddy clothes and walking boots. See you all again in few months.

We really loved our holiday. The cottage is really cosy and homely. The kitchen is well equipped. The facilities are good with lovely bathrooms and comfortable bedrooms. The drying room attached to the cottage was a massive bonus. There is lots to do on the estate and beautiful walks from the cottage. It is ideal for a quiet getaway. The garden is pretty.
We will definitely return.
