Half of One is probably the most beautiful place we have been to, the house was super clean and well equipped to accommodate our family party, it looks out onto the most stunning view, and is an excellent base for exploring Isle of Skye. The views of sunrise, rainbows and sheep have added to the charm, we have even spotted seals (and Jupiter at night!) through an awesome telescope that was available in the house. Half of One was what it promised to be, and so much more. Everyone felt safe, cosy and comfortable, despite some seriously windy Skye weather, there is enough space for everyone to find their own nook and just soak in the place. The hosts are marvellous in communication, prompt, clear and extremely accommodating, we could feel the care they have for their place and felt incredibly grateful for being able to share it for a little bit with our loved ones. Half of One will stay in our hearts for a long time. Thank you!

Our stay at Half Of One was nothing short of magical. From the moment we booked until the day we checked out, communication with Emma was seamless — she’s incredibly caring, thoughtful, and genuinely wants her guests to have the best experience possible.
The house itself is a work of art — every corner feels intentionally designed, balancing beauty with comfort and functionality. The kitchen is fully equipped, the dining area offers a breathtaking view of Brothers Point, and the bedrooms are cosy and peaceful. The living space invites you to unwind, and the utility area with washer and dryer adds great convenience.
Every room opens up to stunning views of the surrounding landscape — vast water bodies, rolling hills, and the magical Highlands, creating a sense of serenity and awe no matter where you are in the house.
Nestled in a remote and tranquil location, the property is surrounded by breathtaking scenery and gentle sheep grazing nearby — it truly feels like stepping into another world. The attached studio is a gem of its own — exquisitely designed and inspiring in every way.
We truly left a piece of our hearts at Half Of One and are already longing to return. It was an incredibly fulfilling stay — a solid 10/10 in every respect.

We loved our stay in Half of One. The house and studio are spacious and clean with fantastic views. There are a couple of food stores close by in Staffin and it was a great spot for finding dinosaur footprints at low tide.

Absolutely magical. Half of One is the kind of place that stays with you long after you leave. The view alone is worth the trip: expansive, breathtaking, and ever changing with the Skye skies. But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the warmth and generosity of the hosts. Their hospitality was second to none, and every thoughtful touch, from the cozy setup to the little details tailored for our children, made us feel incredibly cared for. We all loved our stay and really didn’t want to leave. We had beautifully sunny days and very rainy ones, and the house worked for both. Great location for walks and touring and equally as good to hunker down, eat, read, chat and just take in the view.

What a find... perfect house, best location and incredibly views... all helped make our holiday in Skye brilliant. House is close to all the best parts of Skye and its remoteness and views are beyond amazing.
