The cottage is one of the best we've stayed in, perhaps the best overall. The bed was very comfortable, and the lounge very pleasant and homely. Bathroom and kitchen facilities were good, and we self catered each evening. There is a courtyard, which is quite private and ideal for sitting out in good weather. The surroundings are also very pleasant and quiet, and there is an allocated parking space. There are nice walks from the cottage towards Sidmouth front and centre and access to some footpaths and an interesting park. We visit Devon at least twice a year and always stay at Bulverton House. The facilities in our room are excellent and we see minor improvements every year. Our hosts are charming and if we ever have a question it’s answered quickly. Unhesitatingly recommend Bulverton House for a perfect short break in a beautiful part of England.
We stayed for a long weekend. We were met by the host Chris, who was very welcoming and helpful. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed. It was spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. Sidmouth is a lovely town to visit and there is plenty to do in the surrounding area. I would definitely recommend.
