We found this property last year and we were impressed by the quality and cleanliness. Very well furnished and situated in amazing countryside. Great location for exploring Northumberland.
I don’t even know where to begin! Richard and Fiona are just the loveliest hosts and have really thought of everything to make your stay amazing. The welcome pack of milk, cheese, coffee, bread rolls and biscuits was really thoughtful. They also provide the hugest selection of teas I have ever seen, they were really special. The Gardener’s Cottage has a beautifully maintained courtyard garden and a lovely veranda on the other side which overlooks the most breathtaking views of the Northumbrian countryside. We have returned for a second visit, it did not disappoint. Amazing views, gorgeous accommodation. Well thought out with everything you could need to cook and relax after a day exploring. Second time visiting with small toddler and grandparents in tow. Ideal for all age groups. My toddler adores the "upside down holiday house" he can't wait to come back. We thought this was going to be a lovely place to stay but when we arrived, we were shocked by how lovely it actually is! We almost (very selfishly ) don't want to leave a good review, as we want to return ASAP and don't want it become fully booked. The photos do not do this place justice at all - the cottage was pristine, modern and so well stocked. The lovely owners even put our Tesco delivery away prior to our arrival which made our arrival so easy. The setting is beautiful and the pub/cafe down the drive are lovely to pop along to.
