We had our wedding at Muckrach Country House, as an exclusive use venue. They were easy to work with, communicative and accommodating - we booked the venue 4 months before our wedding day! Jozsef was very friendly and helpful when organising our day, and very knowledgable about the running of the house. We felt in safe hands. The Cathedral House is a wonderful home to stay while you are in Dornoch. The home has all the necessities and is located in the middle of town. The furnishings and living arrangements are ideal for a family or a visit with close friends.
The lodge that we stayed in was absolutely perfect….from the cleanliness to the comfort, the location to the amenities. It was everything we had hoped for and more. We stayed for my mother in laws 60th birthday and it was exactly the luxury that we wanted! The customer service was brilliant too as we had a couple of questions before our stay and they were really helpful allowing us to check in slightly earlier in order to decorate. From the morning dew on sweeping grass, to the grazing sheep accompaniment to sunset, this is what you are looking for to feel the Scotland vibes. Any day I can stroll out my front door to a castle, petting the Highland cows along the way, then retire to my hot tub under the stars with a local scotch whiskey in hand is more than I could hope for from a retreat to the Highlands. Excellent location, outstanding comfort, gorgeous setting, easy parking and great hosts. Don’t hesitate!
Myself, my husband and dog stayed at The Glenmore Lodge for a few nights and the place was amazing! It was spotless and gorgeously decorated. Everything felt so high end and nothing was missing. Everything felt luxurious and worth the money we spent. Hamish and Dougal the Highland Cows were such a delight! Loved our stay at the The Glenmore Lodge!
Been to The Hollies many times and theSpeyside suite remains an excellent choice for a self catering holiday.
A wonderful couple of nights at The Stay, immaculate room, very comfortable & plenty of space in the room. Ideal location for all our requirements. The staff were very friendly & helpful, would highly recommend & hope to return again soon. Thanks to Andy regarding the booking, very helpful.
We had a lovely overnight stay here,the room was clean,warm and comfortable.There was also a good selection of tea etc We will definitely stay again when we are in the area
Property needs deep clean. Flooring needs protection from furniture scoring.washing machine needs secured properly. Parking not a defined space building next door what is it . No electric charging points. Blinds need servicing . What a difference detail would make. Second time in a lodge which was two years ago . Properties look as if maintenance is a wait and see what develops .
Gorgeous lodge, lovely, private hot tub and all the facilities on site make this a perfect place to just stop and relax . Had the best few days
Much more homely than other lodge / air BnB style accommodations we’ve stayed at. Lots of decoration, ornaments, amenities that made it feel more like a home-from-home than a basic rental. Very comfy beds, very quiet, 2 minutes walk from the Hollies with plenty of private parking. Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend / come again!
Service at check in was dreadful. We were not provided with key code and when we got help we were treated rudely. It was as if we were trying to fake a booking. The lady insisted on going through my emails from hollies and even though she had laptop which she could surely have confirmed my booking which was already paid for
The Hollies is a real luxury five star plus stay! The lodge has high end furnishings, warm underfloor heating and a log burner make it extra cosy. The beds are comfy with lovely linen, the garden was well maintained with a fantastic hot tub, the site of the Hollies is brilliant, the farm shop has lovely food and drinks, the deli counter is particularly good, there's also a cafe where you can have drinks and food and can sit outside in the autumn sunshine. The only negative is no where else lives up to the Hollies!
This was to be a very special break for my wifes 50th birthday And Upon arrival the cabin looked beautiful we opened the front door and the lay was very nice indeed the wife looked all round as they do i was bring the bags in from the car and noticed a big scratch's on of the floor next to the settee there was chunks missing out of the freshold between the master bedroom and ensuite i always look at cleanliness and was very very disappointed to come across cobwebs and dust in corners and dust on tops of things which I videoed and took pictures off when I booked this very special stay i thou...more
Beautiful room and luxury bathroom. Top quality bed linen and comfortable bed Only negative was it would have been a nice gesture to have a little treat to go with the tea/coffee. As we stay away regularly and always get biscuits or some little treat... Especially for the price we paid!!!! Little touches mean a lot!
