.Stay at Tarporley is one of my favourite hotels to stay in around this area. This is my 2nd time here and definitely will be back. Trip to Cheshire Oaks, with a night here and an evening at the Swan before heading to The Hollies farm shop on my way home. Very easy communication and just lovely.
Excellent and friendly customer service. Fantastic location. Extraordinary house offering extraordinary volumes. Wonderful park and surroundings.
We have been to the hollies a few times, but never at Christmas until this time, the setting outside was stunning, lights entwined around trees and bushes. Inside the Scot’s pine was just as beautiful with a tree and festive lights around the fireplace. The farm shop and shops were just as festive and magical with lights and music playing. We really enjoyed a relaxing time here over Christmas. Well done team hollies on creating such a beautiful setting at Christmas time.
The Cathedral House in Dornoch is ideally suited. Close to the cathedral, shopping, grocery store, and an easy walk to the golf course. It has been renovated in marvelous fashion.
We had a great stay May 2025. Great facilities, fully equped with everything anyone would need. Enclosed garden for our dog so we could relax outside.
Absolutely stunning lodge, even better with the hot tub. The new mezzanine room is gorgeous, however the green emergency light lights up the whole room at night which makes it difficult to sleep (especially as we had our 10 month old with us in the room!), it was quite a nightmare. There was also a few screws uncovered on the ceiling and walls and the hot and cold settings on the shower are the wrong way round. Other than these issues, we had a really lovely stay and the location was fantastic.
A clean and comfortable room. Excellent hospitality from the people working downstairs in the store and restaurant. Only two items for improvement. 1. Access instructions need to be more specific. Three pinpads to navigate, and different codes on each can be confusing. We managed to lock ourselves out before accessing our room. 2. A 5 night stay requires that supplies be replenished halfway through. Especially on a bank holiday weekend. We had to go hunting for toilet paper, tea and coffee. Other than that we are very happy with our stay.
This is our fifth stay at Muckrach and as always it was perfect. The accomodation is tastefully decorated in an absolutely stunning location. We decided to stay in the Speyside suite this time as it was just my husband and I. It had everything we needed and was luxurious like the other cottages just on a smaller scale. Everything is always beautifully maintained at Muckrach and the staff are amazing there. They are always very friendly and knowledgable if you need anything, but they always respect your privacy and leave you to enjoy your holiday. I highly recommend staying here. This is an ab...more
This is our 2nd time staying at the Hollies and won't be the last. We love our time here and only wish we could stay for longer, especially as the weather let us down this year! The lodge is huge, comfortable and luxurious. The beds are extremely comfortable too. The showers could be a touch more powerful but other than that, I could not fault the place. It's so peaceful and quiet on site which adds to the positive atmosphere.
Although it's self check-in, I saw a couple of staff who were very welcoming. Everywhere is very well maintained and good artwork. Breakfast in the farm shop was very good and special thanks to Claire for taking such an interest in my visit to the area!
Had the lodge for 5 weeks and had the best time - the staff went above and beyond for my family and I. Thank you so much!
THIS WAS ONE OF THREE LODGES HIRED TO FACILITE A 50TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY. ALL OF THE LODGES WERE CLEAN CONFORTABLE AND WELL APPOINTED.
Such a wonderful stay surrounded by trees and birdsong, the Hollies Farm Shop is a two minute walk away with a HUGE choice of food from meats cheeses fresh vegetables it’s the best I have ever seen. There is also a beautiful barn for presents and a fabulous choice of Plants. If you wish you can spend the day there browsing around.
This is by far one of the nicest log cabins we have stayed in. The facilities are absolutely state of the art. We loved the layout of the cabins and the fact both bedroom were ensuite as well as a downstairs bathroom all done to a very high standard. The interior design ensures that you feel like you are living in luxury and the private outdoor garden with hot tub is the cherry on the plate. The farm shop and cafe is absolutely fantastic alongside the on site gift shop. We will definitely be back. Can't wait to return. Thank you for making my 60th birthday celebrations extra special.
