Comfortable stay with all facilities. Patio is a nice place for the view, as is the upstairs bedroom.
Heavenly lo action true home from home, every little detail catered for would highly recommended. Clean to high standard the most comfortable bed too. Stayed twice and will do again.
Everything from the cottage to the location the garden and patio area were absolutely amazing and we had such a fantastic holiday The cottage had everything you needed and was very cosy and clean. We would happily return.
Wonderful house for a large family and friends ranging in age from 7 months to 70 years old. Very well equipped, comfortable and clean as well as a super location. Fal Cottages were helpful and efficient with booking and all arrangements. Thank you
Everything about the cottage was perfect for us. Beautiful location, clean, comfortable. We could see the sunrise over the sea from bed! There is en-suite shower room not pictured in the description and so that was a nice surprise. The parking space allocated for the cottage was possible but a little tight for our large estate car, so we chose to pay for a week’s parking in the public car park, a slightly smaller car would be fine. Portscatho is a lovely base from which to explore the peninsula too.
Loved staying here. Lovely, very comfortable cottage & hosts. Thank you & we hope to return very soon!
We had a lovely stay at the Red House Annexe which has lovely views over Summers Beach in St Mawes. The property was clean and well equipped. Ideal for a couple. We would love to return.
The house has incredible views and a great kitchen which is well equipped. All of beds were super comfy. Jenna was very helpful and responsive. We were welcomed with scones and had a fabulous week. Thank you, we will hopefully come back.
Leslie and Paula always give us a warm welcome and make sure we have everything we need for an enjoyable holiday. The apartment has the best view in St Mawes over the sea to the lighthouse. Looking forward to returning next August. Graham & Jane
Our second visit to Crow's Nest did not disappoint, we were delighted with the accommodation, location and the weather! It was lovely to receive a welcome card from Denise and Alasdair (the owners) with a packet of biscuits and a pint of milk for tea. The booking and instructions for arrival were again very smooth and made personal through Fal Cottages. This is our fifth visit to St Mawes and we will book the Crow's Nest every year from now on - what better recommendation could there be!
This was our second stay at the Moonfleet and once again we absolutely loved it. The house is very comfortable, peaceful and beautifully maintained. The décor and overall style are very similar to our own home, which made it especially easy for us to relax and feel at home straight away. The setting is lovely and quiet, with beautiful views, making it a perfect place to unwind. It is also great for hosting and spending time with friends in a relaxed environment. We would happily return again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and tranquil stay.
Very comfortable and clean cottage with everything we needed. We loved the view from the main bedroom and the bright, spacious living room. It is a very steep climb up from the village, but worth it to have the parking space and views!
We had a lovely week at Heathfield. The house was in a stunning location and we enjoyed the stroll into St Mawes along with the challenging uphill return! The house was really well equipped with everything we could need and the garden was a real 'hit' for our cricket loving grandson! The outdoor table and chairs and loungers were a real treat. A great house for our multi-generational family holiday. Thank you.
This cottage is delightful. It suits us as a family and has a beautiful and private little courtyard ideal for morning coffee or a sundowner. We have been visiting annually since 2021 and it’s our absolute favourite. Very convenient for local beaches, Truro and St Austell, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Mevagissey etc. The manor gardens are gorgeous and our hosts Annie and Brian are wonderful. Thank you for a fabulous stay.
A lovely well equipped apartment tor two people and a small dog, a short distance from the harbour, we would be very happy to visit again,
Workshop is perfectly located in the centre of town just above the CoOp, it is easy to get to with no bike up-hill hikes. It was perfect for two couples with lots of comfortable, light filled living space. This is the best equipped holiday cottage we have ever stayed in, it has everything you might need. The listing is completely accurate. The central car park is just around the corner. Make sure you ‘display’ as well as ‘pay’!!
Five of us rented Chupra for a week for a sailing regatta in St Mawes. The house has a wonderful position overlooking the bay and only a few minutes walks to the quay. We didn’t use the car at all. The parking is good but narrow. The interior of the house is upside down - living upstairs so you get the full benefit of the view and position. The furnishings, decor and beds are all new and in good condition. Chupra enhanced our stay in St Mawes and we would hire again if we come to St Mawes again.
We had a lovely week away here with family. It’s a beautiful, quiet spot, with the coast a short walk in all directions. Fal Cottages were very helpful when I had some questions before arrival. After departure we gave some feedback by email of some necessary maintenance issues, and a suggested improvement (a mirror in the family bathroom would be very useful), so hopefully these will be acted upon quickly.
A return visit. The property is ideally located just a short walk from the centre of St Mawes. It comes with a parking place too which is a real bonus. It was very clean and has everything needed. The only slight negative is the poor shower.
This was our second stay in Pennant. We love the views out across to Place and the headland. The apartment is very well equipped. Really well situated in St Mawes.
Another stay in this delightful house, simple, well located, parking on site and lovely village as a base too.
No.1 is a great studio apartment, perfectly situated near the harbour in St Mawes and ideally positioned for exploring the Roseland Peninsula. The booking process was easy and the owner was extremely helpful I had a lovely last minute 5 day break there and look forward to returning again.
Owners were very welcoming but the studio is a bit tired. Some redecoration inside and out would definitely help.
Thank you for another brilliant stay at Pengerein. We've enjoyed 4 years coming to the property but have sadly decided that we can't justify the 18% price increase listed in 2027 for one week in August so have booked elsewhere in the village. (Also couldn't make the hoover work)
Lovely cottage, very close to the rightly famous beautiful church and garden in St Just. It’s also just down the road to St Mawes, and not far from Mevagissey. It is spacious (three double bedrooms, a decent sitting room and large dining hall), with a well stocked kitchen including washing machine and dishwasher. While the parking is round the corner, there was no issues finding a space. The hot water pressure is a bit low, but then it’s an old cottage in a rural area, and that wouldn’t stop me booking again. Make sure you look up the times of the King Harry Ferry :)
Delightful house in a glorious setting. Lovely touches from the host in the way of food. The skirting under the dishwasher needs trimming to allow the door to open without fear of pulling it down each time.
Lovely apartment. Well appointed and comfortable. Great view across the river. Short walk to St Mawes and easy access to other walks from the apartment.
Over 20 years since we last stayed here and the charm and simplicity are as lovely as ever. A truly tranquil place. Need a new bin in the kitchen though .
We loved our stay at Driftwood! A stones throw from the beautiful beach, and everything we needed right on our doorstep and to explore more of Cornwall. We hadn't stayed at Porthtowan before but have fallen in love with the place! The cottage was super clean and comfortable, and well equipped for everything we needed. Highly recommend. (The addition of a floor brush would be handy, obviously bringing sand in from outside, you don't always want to have to use the hoover! And a washing line would be helpful too.)
We had the most enjoyable week at Place Lodge. It is such a special cottage, lovely high ceilings, spacious and comfortable with everything we needed for a family of 6. Everything was very clean and comfortable. We were so close to where the ferry from St Mawes comes in (but incredibly quiet of traffic), so perfect and safe for children to paddle, hunt for shells at low tide, go crabbing, swim, kayak. Many lovely beaches within walking distance or short drive. We all had such a wonderful stay - highly recommend and we definitely hope to return next year. Thank you so much!
We were greeted most days by 2 little dogs aggressively barking at us at us every time we returned to the apartment as we came up the steps. The owners had no control over them. They also barked at everything that moved & went past the apartment! Also we have never stayed in a holiday let that had carpet in the kitchen as well as the 2 bathrooms. That is very un hygienic especially when you think about spills & leakages etc...Do you vax wash after every holiday maker has stayed ? Apart from that all good !
I chose Chywartha because it had a sea view, it was spacious - I wasn't sure if other family members would join me and my 91-year-old - and because it was very competitively priced. We were not disappointed. We had a bathroom each, amazing views of the sea - admittedly over the top of the community centre car park but most of the time we couldn't see that - and it was only a short walk to the village centre and beach/harbour - a steep-ish 5/10 minute walk so only for those able to manage it. This more than made up for the fact that we weren't in a tasteful cutesy cottage. I would return to Ch...more
We were a large family group staying in the Place Estate cottages and we loved them all. Lavender cottage has a real charm of its own against the walled garden of the estate. We also found that it was very protected from any wind and a pretty sunny courtyard. Inside it is extremely well equipped with all you could want and beautiful furnishings and a very comfortable bed ! We cannot wait to return…
