Loved staying here. Lovely, very comfortable cottage & hosts. Thank you & we hope to return very soon!
I stayed at Chywartha with my sister and both of our dogs. The layout worked well for us and the cottage was spotlessly clean and very comfortable with all we needed for or stay. The view from the lounge is amazing. We would book it again. Amanda and Dawn with Ralphy and Sid
April cottage was an absolutely fabulous place to stay. There was me, my 4 children (2 in travel cots), my sister, her partner, dog and 2 cats. There was ample space for us all and we never felt like we were in each others way. It was so great to have so many things provided (like tea towels, bin bags, all the essentials). Great instructions on how to get there. The price for our weeks holiday in August was amazing. The only slight thing I would say to the hosts is that in your instructions you say that you can put recycling in the main car park, this is not the case as most local recycling bi...more
We stayed at the property for a week Very clean , comfortable and well equipped Outstanding views and ideally located for exploring St Mawes and Roseland Peninsula Parking space a bonus Highly recommended and hope to return again!
Excellent location, very comfy cosy cottage big enough for two, has all the facilities you need. No complaints.
This a great holiday bungalow. It's tastefully and comfortably furnished. Its cute courtyard garden caught the sun in May for much of the day. Fiona is an excellent host is responded quickly and resolved a problem with the heating straight away. I can highly recommend this property.
Amazing hide-away @ Loe Beach. Much appreciated welcome pack. Our second visit and hope to come again soon. Wonderful views out over Carrick Roads. Super athletic squirrels! Powerful log burner to keep you toasty at night. A great historical place to visit re the English modernist movement; Wells, Nicholson's, Hepworth, Woods, Lanyon, Heron et al. A big thank you to Seaview Farm and our lovely hosts. Enjoy!
Everything about the cottage was perfect for us. Beautiful location, clean, comfortable. We could see the sunrise over the sea from bed! There is en-suite shower room not pictured in the description and so that was a nice surprise. The parking space allocated for the cottage was possible but a little tight for our large estate car, so we chose to pay for a week’s parking in the public car park, a slightly smaller car would be fine. Portscatho is a lovely base from which to explore the peninsula too.
The week we had in Heathfield was most enjoyable, both the area and the house suited us well. We needed four bedrooms which Heathfield gave us and to have two sitting areas a bonus when you have family with different ages and needs. Kitchen was well.supplied.with utensils. Our visit was over the winter holiday period so to have efficient heating was appreciated as well.
We come back every year as it is so easy to slot into Crugsillick Studio. Everything is there and such a peaceful ;location within walking distance down a bluebell bedecked valley to a pristine and normally empty beach.
Fal Cottages staff was excellent. This place had everything we needed, and we hope to be back next year.
This is the fourth time we (me, my daughter and nine year old grandson) have had the pleasure of holidaying in this delightful cottage. It’s our home from home and we cannot imagine going anywhere else, truly. We love the location, the cosy feel of the cottage, and our wonderful hosts. Annie is so welcoming and will ensure you have everything you need. We just love this two bed upside down living because we can see the fields and woodlands beyond. It’s also short walk from the quaint old Melinsey Mill. One word to sum up: fabulous.
Really enjoyed my week at the Lodge. Plenty of walking to be had from the front door, left my car standing the whole week. Good shopping to be had at Portscatho and St Mawes, also Pub at Portscatho worth a visit, staff pleasant and food very good, this is the Plume and Feathers, The Standard was closed on the day I went so can't comment. My hightlight was having a Buzzard visit me in the courtyard at the cottage on several occasions, truly beautiful, would just sit on the back of one of chairs quite happily. Everything in the cottage was very good and compy, First time I've been anywher...more
What a wow property in St Mawes, perfect in every way. So spacious, with fantastic views from so many of the rooms. The location was amazing.
Stayed in Pennant 5 day, myself and 3 kids. The flat is perfectly placed, easy to access pubs and the beaches plus you have a great view. The flat itself is well furnished and kitchen has everything you need, even stuff for baking with the kids!! It was also really clean and fresh when we arrived. Would definitely stay again if coming back to St Mawes.
No.1 is a great studio apartment, perfectly situated near the harbour in St Mawes and ideally positioned for exploring the Roseland Peninsula. The booking process was easy and the owner was extremely helpful I had a lovely last minute 5 day break there and look forward to returning again.
First, the good: the house is in a fabulous position, with lovely views. The layout worked really well for our family of five; the kitchen is well-equipped, great shower and hot water pressure, and the summer house is a bonus although we didn't use it. It's just a little dated in places: a new bathroom suite or at the very least a loo seat that fits; the kitchen wooden worktops are also looking very tired with gaps to trap dirt. Having said that, we really enjoyed our week and would probably rebook – if they'd still have us after this!
Pelyn is an ideal place for a stay in St Mawes. It offers compact but well thought out accommodation for 2 people. Although the bedroom is small, the view from the window is worth it. The lounge area also has patio doors opening on to a small balcony and has the same outlook. . The apartment has all the necessary facilities and the allocated parking is a real bonus. It is located a ten minute walk from the centre of St Mawes which does involve some hills but is a pleasant walk, mostly off road.
Good location parking outside door all equipment their that's required. Pub over road quite good , cafe good . Enjoyed my holiday their , especially good for dogs .
Great location , stunning views, walking , ferries to other places ,places to have coffee and eat and visit ,can get about with no car . 4 th time we’ve stayed here
We were greeted most days by 2 little dogs aggressively barking at us at us every time we returned to the apartment as we came up the steps. The owners had no control over them. They also barked at everything that moved & went past the apartment! Also we have never stayed in a holiday let that had carpet in the kitchen as well as the 2 bathrooms. That is very un hygienic especially when you think about spills & leakages etc...Do you vax wash after every holiday maker has stayed ? Apart from that all good !
The parking is diabolical with no guarantee of a space outside the cottage. The path outside needs renovating as it is dangerous and the table and chairs need updating. The stairs are very steep, especially difficult to use with a heavy suitcase. The lighting is not very good for reading. Apart from that it was a delightful cottage right by the harbour and the weather was kind so we could enjoy touring the area.
We have just spent 5 nights here with our small dogs ,the courtyard is completely secure which was great for us. We had great weather and enjoyed many beautiful walks , didn’t use the car at all . So nice to come back after our walks and spend time sat in the garden listening to all the birdsong. Such a peaceful location to wind down and recharge the batteries. We are definitely going to book again.
The farmhouse is well equipped, comfortable, with adequate heating and hot water, and provides a stock of firewood for the nice warm wood burner in the lounge - which really helps to make the space cosy. This is necessary as the old lounge windows are very drafty when a cold easterly wind is blowing, as we experienced, despite the heavy curtains used to block out cold air. The house has great views east to the sea, and the walk through the farm down to the pretty beach is enjoyable too. A great location and attractive area, with your own car necessary to access.
