We booked a lodge by the lake, expecting to be able to fish… to find out the lake is no longer fish able. Honestly, i looked to book else where but I'm so please we didn’t because The Bay was a find!! The children loved it. The lodge we stayed in had a country feel, it was quiet, peaceful with a lovely view.
The location was great to explore the area, including Bridlington, Filey and the fishing lake we found in Humanby.
The lodge its self was spacious, we visited on a weekend that was incredibly hot so it was uncomfortable to sleep, a fan in the room would have been ideal. We had to close the windows because there were lots of flies (maybe due to the heat and been by the water); annoying little things that liked to land on you. Overall, it was a great stay and we will definitely return to The Bay to explore further. Thankyou

I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. It is disappointing to receive such low scores though which I assume was because we advised (when you wished to cancel on your day of arrival because you wrongly thought fishing from the deck was possible) that you would not be eligible for your money back unless we were able to rebook the dates. We have now added a fan - thanks for the feedback.

The lodge was very clean and comfortable. The views were very pretty. The cliff paths to Humanby Gap in one direction and Filey in the other were just down the road.

We will definitely be back next year.

Lodge was amazing, location and site were amazing, lodge had everything you could need and more, will definitely be back
