We were first to arrive and we couldn’t stop smiling as we walked around the property.
All our children,spouses and grandchildren arrived later.
The look on their faces,WOW factor indeed.
Everything was here for a comfortable family weekend
Bedrooms and en-suites are hotel quality.
The kitchen had everything we needed and there was more than enough seating in the dining room for our 15.
The kids loved the outside space, which had a treasure trove of games and equipment.
We will definitely go back and would definitely recommend Victoria Mount !

We have been going away with the same group of friends for about 50 years to different parts of the UK and we all agree that Victoria Mount is probably the best house we have stayed in. It surpassed expectations - it has been renovated to a high standard and is spacious, warm, comfortable and very well equipped. We certainly would like to go back next year. The view through the glass balustrade is amazing.

We were a family group of eleven, ranging in age from 17-81 years. We were together to celebrate a couple of “special” birthdays for the week over Easter. Upon arriving it was clear to see this was going to be one of the best houses we’d ever stayed in! The views of Morecombe Bay were stunning. After taking a few minutes to decide who was staying in each room, we all quickly settled down. The rooms are all of a good size and it was lovely to all have our own bathrooms. The house has everything you could ever need, every utensil in the kitchen and even had its own pair of binoculars to use to look over the bay. We were able to make use of outdoors too and even sat in the sunshine on one day! We had table tennis matches and netball competitions and a couple of chess games. The local area of Grange-Over-Sands is absolutely perfect. We ate at the Greek restaurant one night and sampled take aways from the fish and chip shop, Indian and Chinese. One place we would recommend is to walk to Cartmel. It is full of restaurants, pubs, coffee shops and has a lovely atmosphere. We booked this house a year ago and all correspondence with Jim has been quick and efficient, asking about the local Parkrun and whether we could have our shopping delivered. Thank you Jim and Celia for a wonderful stay…we hope to be back!

Victoria Mount is by far the best holiday home we have ever stayed in. The house has been beautifully and sympathetically restored and has a really luxurious feel to it, without losing its amazing history and character.
It has everything you could possibly need! The kitchen is more than equipped to cater for 14 guests, the games room is perfect for everyone; the owners really have thought of everything.
The views out over the bay are changing constantly. We would recommend getting up early to enjoy the sunrise with your morning brew and even go out onto the front balcony if you are feeling brave.
We enjoyed a walk from the house over Hampsfell and into Cartmel for a pub lunch during our stay. It is a fantastic base to explore a quieter part of the Lake District. We can't wait to return again soon; it was a home from home for us!

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful property. The house was a tasteful mix of period features and state of the art facilities. The kids loved the games room and the outdoor activities and the adults loved the relaxing living room with smart tv and surround sound, the impeccably equipped kitchen, the large comfortable beds, the stunning views....pretty much everything really!

The hosts were great at keeping in touch - even contacting us on our day of travel to update us on motorway traffic jams - and warm and receptive.

The house is in a fantastic location tucked away from the bustle but still moments from the centre of Grange.

I would fully recommend about this property and we would love to stay again.

The house was perfect for 10 of us aged 14 to 89!
Jim and Celia have thought of everything- the attention to detail was superb! The house is also perfectly located for Grange and walking in the Lakes. The views were amazing too!

Wow! This was a trip to celebrate a 60th birthday, and the 14 guests ranged from 6 to mid sixties, and everyone was catered for., the facilities are faultless. Jim and Celia have thought of everything to make this a real home from home, and even added 60th decorations for me ( at my cost obviously). We were very lucky with the weather and were treated to a fantastic sunrise every morning. The views are just amazing. Our grandson who struggles with new places due to autism "wants to buy this house ".
Anyone who rents this house will not be disappointed, we were sad to leave.

We had the pleasure of spending five unforgettable days in this exquisite home during the Saltaire Art School Plein Aire oil painting retreat. Surrounded by breathtaking views, we found solace and rejuvenation. We depart not only with a newfound painting technique but also with a renewed sense of inspiration. We first visited last October and liked it so much my family wanted to come back in the summer so we could use more of the outside facilities. It feels like a family home and , of course, it was. My family felt relaxed and at home. They insisted we come back next summer. We have already booked it..

We just loved this house! We were a group of 12, 6 adults and 7 kids from 7 down to 1 and there was something for everyone. There wasn’t anything we needed in the kitchen that we couldn’t find, the house was so well equipped with games and activities even for rainy days. Comfy beds, powerful showers, really helpful and responsive owners when we needed them- which was rare! It was great being so close to town, we made use of the playground, ice cream shops, crazy golf and charity shopping!
My only tip would be you get lots of mosquitoes in the evenings (I’m guessing due to proximity to water), so I would recommend bringing some repellent in advance so you can make the most of the lovely outside space. We loved the BBQs, pizza oven and fire pit and used them all!
I also used That Bar Company to rent a hot tub for the week which was a great addition and seamless to organise.
10/10 would recommend and hope to return one day!

14 adults had a wonderful week. The location is blessed with sweeping views of Morecambe Bay. The house is equipped with everything you could want and then some.

We will definitely be returning to Victoria Mount. The house is just so lovely, warm and welcoming. Everywhere was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is fabulous and has everything you need.
The bedrooms and beds were spot on and it’s a big plus having an en-suite in nearly every room.
The balcony and veranda outside have spectacular views across Morecambe Bay.
A wonderful weekend was had by all. We have been going away together for many years and it’s one of the best places we have stayed in.
