We recently stayed at the Cart house for a week, it is a beautiful property, very clean inside and so well equipped with everything we could have needed and more. A real home from home stay, the food hamper on our arrival was a lovely touch and a real treat. Vanessa and Jonathan came by to meet us on our first night, which was a lovely touch and lovely to meet them. Vanessa even went out to buy us some tomatoes as I had forgotten to bring ours, very kind of her and very much appreciated. We had a lovely stay, the only little niggle was the road noise, especially early in the morning.

We enjoyed a lovely short stay at the Cart House which we found to be superbly appointed and just what we needed. The Cart House is superbly equipped and offers excellent accommodation. We were only there for a couple of days with friends but it was a great base and suited us very well for our short visit to the area. The owners popped by to say hello and they were really friendly and very helpful. We would recommend this to anyone considering a visit to the area.

Lovely stay in a well equipped converted barn. Very clean and well presented.

The Cart House is a loverly barn conversion type holiday home. The views from the back patio are blissful, we even saw deer wandering through the fields. Well located for trips to Winchester, Southampton and Portsmouth.

The only downsides were the car noise from the road taht runs past the property and the stylish, but uncomfortably soft sofas in the lounge.

The house was beautiful, spotlessly clean and well equipped. My young daughter loved the chest of toys and games. Great location, easy to find and only a short drive to Winchester and Marwell Zoo. Would certainly revisit if in the area again.

Very clean and well kept, well presented, had a lovely time with family. Excellent owners. Highly recommend.

Only thing I would say maybe needs to be considered if you stay, is the garden has a small stream with no fencing on the side which would require a high level of supervision if you have children and they want to play outside.

Mums weekend away has been a tradition for quite a few years for my 3 friends and I but it was our first time at the Cart House. From the welcome message and a lovely goodie basket that awaited us on arrival we were impressed with every aspect of our stay - well perhaps not the stormy weather but that just made us enjoy the coziness of the Cart House even more. The kitchen is well equipped (including cocktail shaker!), sofas were super comfy ( as were the beds) and the underfloor heating means you can leave your slippers home! We are already looking forward to coming back!

A wonderful property, well appointed and well thought out design. Well equiped kitchen and instruction manuals available for the appliances. Well thought out guest information booklet with everything you needed to know about the property. Underfloor heating welcome especially as it was cold, frosty and snowy during the stay.

Pity that the property is situated beside a busy road which detracted from the wonderful property and outlook at the rear, but there is nothing the owners can do about this.

The Cart House is a very beautiful retreat and gave us time to with our daughter and adult granddaughters. It lacks for nothing, is perfectly presented, luxurious in a laid back rustic style much appreciated by even our Architect daughter. Also much admired was the dresser concealing the fridge/freezer.
Eating al fresco was an absolute delight with the meadow and weeping willowx across the little stream. We were fortunate to do this every day as the weather was perfect and we spent a lot of the time around the outdoor table. (Magical).
Alas all good things come to an end. It was a long journey there and back with numerous diversions, but it was well worth it. We had a wonderful and happy time. Thank you

Super cottage, stocked with everything you could possibly need, very comfortable, beautifully decorated. Lovely view. Ample parking and pretty garden. Village close by, is excellent for shops etc. Location is ideal for Portsmouth, Southampton and the Downs. Had a really great holiday, thank you!

Spent a lovely week at The Cart House and really enjoyed it. The house is lovely, there is everything there that you would need for a stay and it's in a great location with some lovely pubs and restaurants in the surrounding area. Winchester and Portsmouth area only 20 mins away.

Would definately go back again or recommend to someone wanting a comfortable stay in the Winchester/Portsmouth area.

We had an amazing stay. The cart house is faultless - spacious yet cosy, spotlessly clean, and there is a real ‘wow’ factor as soon as you walk through the door. Excellent communication throughout our stay. The welcome basket was such a thoughtful addition. The highchair and cot provided were perfect for our one year old. Great location for marwell zoo/paultons park, plus a vast selection of board games/books/dvds for the rainy days too! We would definitely stay again in the future!

We stayed at the Cart House from the 19th until the 25th April and it surpassed our expectations which were high to start with! From the well and thoughtfully stocked welcome basket to the cleanliness and excellent touches throughout it was perfect for our requirements. The owners were on hand if required and very quick to respond to a question we had. All in all we wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend the Cart House , it was simply excellent.

Such a comfortable and relaxing place to stay with provision for everything you would need for everyday living. The proprietors were only a phone call away should you need their help with anything. I booked this fabulous property so that II could introduce my sister to her Great Niece and Nephew for probably the first and last time - she has pancreatic cancer.
I coupled this with a trip to mark zoo and Peppa Pig World.
The property is stunning and met our expectations and went well beyond. Their four star gold award is very well deserved. I’d recommend it in an instant

A lovely place to stay. Everything we needed was available, including lots of little extras that you don’t always see. You could tell lots of care had been taken when creating it as a holiday let.
Plenty of local food and drink options, and a local shop only a couple of minutes away.
The owners were very helpful. Check in and out was easy.
Would recommend, and will definitely book again.

I stayed here with my 4 month old baby, parents and in-laws for the 2024 New Year. I booked very last minute with the owners and they were so accommodating. They were very helpful with recommendations for restaurants etc for New Years Eve. The property was great, big enough for us all, very clean and comfortable and a perfect location. Couldn’t recommend this place more, just perfect

Beautiful house, stunning. The owners have thought of everything. Comfy beds, warm and cosy with the underfloor heating. We went for a Christmas weekend and the house was decorated perfectly. The tree lights were on a timer so we didn’t even have to worry about switching them on and off. One small thing and it’s more of a suggestion than a criticism. Only one of the galleries/landing areas is a bedroom. The other side is a lounge. This space was totally unused so seemed a bit of a wasted space. If it had also been a bedroom like the other gallery, we would 100% have used it. We have two snorers in our party, one slight snorer and the other who could sleep on a washing line and snore for England. Boy is it bad! We would have separated them if there was a bed or sofa bed in the other gallery.

When we set up the accommodation, we did discuss using the other mezzanine area for additional sleeping, however we felt that the space would be more useful as an additional living space to accommodate for multi-generational families and the feedback we have received on this has been very positive. Thank you and we hope to see you all again.

Lovely, very well equipped barn
Well located for trips to Winchester, Portsmouth and Southampton
Very near a busy road but we were not bothered by traffic noise at all
We really had a great weekend!

Very clean, all the creature comforts and extras (blankets, umbrellas etc) 3 bedroom and 3 bathroom/toilets made all the difference to our party. Large comfy lounge and spacious kitchen/ dining area with everything you could want. Friendly and helpful hosts. Location excellent for seeing Southampton, Portsmouth and the surrounding areas.

What a great stay, full of character! Hosts have thought of everything, the little details make all the difference; books for children, decaf teabags to name just a couple!

The property was very clean and looked very new, everything had been thought of for a perfect stay. The WiFi was really good and very useful for 2 young children to keep them happy and occupied. The upstairs snug for the kids was brilliant and a lovely selection of DVD's and Games to keep them entertained.
Each bedroom had a floor fan which was useful for a couple of hot nights. The owners were really friendly and checked in on us via text to check that everything was ok which was really nice.
We were greeted with a fresh loaf, eggs and milk which was really nice to be able to feed the kids after a long journey and to have a nice cup of tea with a great selection of drinks provided.

Our 9 year olds loved the snug and bedroom. They felt the upstairs was their own. Beautiful very well equipped house and welcome pack was great. Excellent location and good parking. Relaxing views and everything easily accessible- sea , zoo, historic Docks at Portsmouth. Ground floor bedrooms and facilities perfect. Kitchen very well laid out. Information pack brilliant. Hosts great.

Very well appointed property, spacious, modern.
There is "Hey Google" to answer questions instead of leaflets!
A much appreciated hamper on arrival.
Shops fairly near.
Pleasant walks in area, and a car ride to many gardens, National Trust properties, historic houses etc.
Would suit any age group except perhaps toddlers (ditch at side of garden, children's mezzanine bedroom up narrow stairs)
I would visit there again.(and, I, aged 75 , had the mezzanine bedroom- it had its own loo!)
