Geoff welcomed us to Netherby Hall and was very friendly and helpful at all times. A real asset to Netherby Hall.
Restricted parking outside Grooms Quarters was not helpful so I asked if it would be possible just for unloading and loading car which was allowed but it would have been easier to park just outside.
No local pubs nearby except Penton Bridge which was far too expensive. It would be helpful to have local attractions (nature reserves, wooded areas and eateries) available to staying guests in the guests information and pack.
The dog play area is a wonderful benefit however with two small dogs it would be more helpful to have the current fencing more secure as small dogs could easily escape through the current fencing so mine had to remain on leads at all times.

We stayed at Netherby Hall for a weekend, with fourteen people in total accommodated in the Victorian Stables. The rooms were well-prepared, comfortable, clean, and equipped with all the necessary kitchen tools, even including nightgowns. Overall, it’s a lovely place to stay, but there is room for improvement.
One of our guests arrived in the evening when the estate was poorly lit, and the signs were not visible from the road. Unfortunately, the guest accidentally crossed private property on the Netherby Hall estate and was reprimanded by the owner. We sincerely regret this incident but would suggest adding clearly visible signs along the road, especially for nighttime arrivals, to prevent such mistakes in the future.
Another important note is that guests are not allowed to walk freely outside the Netherby Hall grounds. Across the road, the woodlands and surrounding areas are entirely private. Even while we were walking on what seemed to be a public footpath without any indication it was private, the owner approached us and informed us that walking there was prohibited.
This means that if you’re staying at Netherby Hall and wish to go for a walk without using a car, it’s practically impossible. It’s a pity, as the area is stunning and would be perfect for exploring on foot.

We spent an enjoyable 3 nights and everything was perfect. The accommodation was very clean and spacious. We enjoyed the walking in the grounds and spent time in the walled garden. Will definitely be returning.
