We were exhibiting at the craft fayre and so stayed 2 nights which was perfect. I think summer lightweight duvet is required and softer pillows. Maybe a footstool for feet up watching tv would make it even more perfect. Glorious place to stay very peaceful. We love it here. Have been twice this year.

Have been a number of times and always enjoyed the peaceful and relaxing enviroment.
This visit slightly marred by a plumbing issue with the shower that was quickly resolved.
One of the attractions of previous visits has been the access to the river Esk, the meadows, church and footbridge over the river. Ideal for a regular morning jog.
The access is now officially blocked off making the prospect of future visits less appealing and limiting local outings to the grounds.
A reinstatement of access for future guests and visits would restore the appeal.
Perhaps guests could be issued with a temporary pass?

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and for being a returning guest.
Regarding your comments on access to the River Esk and surrounding areas, we completely understand how important these local features are to many of our guests. As we discussed with you during your visit, unfortunately, this land is not owned or managed by us, and we are therefore unable to permit guest access or issue passes for it. We are always exploring ways to enhance the grounds and offer alternative walking and jogging routes within our property where possible.
We're glad the plumbing issue did not impact your overall enjoyment of your stay.
Thank you once again for your feedback, and we hope to welcome you back in the future. The Netherby Hall Team

This was a well needed relaxing break. We stayed for 2 nights and immediately felt at home. The open plan made it feel really spacious and the Engineer had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Everyone at Netherby was welcoming and friendly. We have been to quite a few dog friendly properties and this has been our favourite, the secure dog exercise area was the cherry on the top to give our whippet a run about!

This was our second stay at Netherby and both have been exceptional. The staff are friendly, professional and helpful. The location is peaceful and private, a delightful mix of history with all the modern facilities you need - including an EV charger for our car. We would live here if we could! We will certainly be back and cannot recommend more highly.

Great stay as usual. This is our 8th stay at Netherby Hall. Most have been in the Engineer.
Everything is so well appointed and spotlessly clean. It has everything we needed.
It's so nice to walk through the grounds with our dogs and it was great to meet up with Gerald and his two Labradors.
It was a shame that we can no longer walk down to the river Esk from Netherby
We found a terrific fishmongers called Bells in Carlisle and would always pop into the antique shop in Longtown
We will definitely be returning

The pictures don't do it justice. It is huge! Two bathrooms, one giant (and very fancy) master bathroom and a smaller half bath at the entrance to the apartment. A fully functional kitchen. Thanks for leaving milk in the fridge for tea. That was a nice touch. Beautiful view of the fields and paths to east. The windmills in the distance show where Scotland begins. Greatly preserved historical building, particularly of interest to Grahams. The original pele tower and house from the 15th century has been restored. Beautiful gardens, stables, and grounds. There is a conference room for groups wanting to hold off-site meetings. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Second stay for us, immaculate, comfortable apartment once again.
Staff were great, even though they were busy with the Craft Fair that was on.
Gardens looked great, last time we missed the May flowers.
It’s just a superb location and the Engineer apartment is the perfect size for two with lovely views.
We even found a couple of things to buy at the fair.
Will keep coming back to enjoy this as our favourite break away.

On our recent trip to the U.K., Netherby Hall was a top priority due to our Nethery/Graham connection. When we arrived we were overwhelmed by the beauty and peacefulness of the surroundings. The apartment was sheer perfection and the champagne greeting made our anniversary perfect! The team is amazing! I cannot say enough about their warmth and professionalism. The grounds are a wonderful blend of formal and natural beauty and our tour was exceptional. We never felt rushed and no question went unanswered. The tour of the Hall was equally amazing, merging past and present. Even though removed by centuries, with his stories and insights, our guide made it feel like a bit of a homecoming. Best of all we were treated as welcome guests.
