The ultimate escape to the country, historic Netherby Hall is located on a private estate. Nine well-appointed luxury apartments make Netherby Hall an ideal retreat within easy reach of some of the most dramatic and awe-inspiring countryside in the UK.
We had been given a voucher for the 8 course tasting meal at the Inn. Unfortunately they couldn’t satisfy my food allergy and offered the Hall as an option. Initially we were so surprised and disappointed, however, the Hall was a great substitute.
Lovely location and special mention should be made re Geoff. Excellent concierge so friendly and knowledgeable.
Netherby Hall has been wonderfully restored to a very high standard by the current owners making it a lovely place to stay. The grounds and views are amazing. The apartment that we stayed in was very well appointed and had everything we needed, the wild flowers from the walled garden were a particularly nice touch.
Netherby Hall is such a wonderful and special place to visit, which is why we keep returning. Everything is done so well and kept immaculate. Superb relaxed stay in Middle Lodge and after walks round the beautiful grounds we throughly enjoyed the hot tub!
We were exhibiting at the craft fayre and so stayed 2 nights which was perfect. I think summer lightweight duvet is required and softer pillows. Maybe a footstool for feet up watching tv would make it even more perfect. Glorious place to stay very peaceful. We love it here. Have been twice this year.
This was a really nice place to stay. The accommodation was of a high standard. The bathroom was very nicely done and the bed was clean and comfy. The kitchen appliances were modern and of good quality. The staff who we met (only 2) were helpful and friendly. The grounds of Netherby Hall are very well kept and a pleasure to stroll around. The only gripe we had and its only a small one, was that the TV would not connect to Netflix or Disney Plus type channels... not really a big issue, but in the evening there isn't a great deal to do after you've had your tea, other than relax and enjoy ...more
We had a lovely Christmas break at The Coach House. Cottage was lovely, very clean & had all the amenities that we needed. Nice grounds to walk around with our dogs too.
Geoff welcomed us to Netherby Hall and was very friendly and helpful at all times. A real asset to Netherby Hall.
Restricted parking outside Grooms Quarters was not helpful so I asked if it would be possible just for unloading and loading car which was allowed but it would have been easier to park just outside.
No local pubs nearby except Penton Bridge which was far too expensive. It would be helpful to have local attractions (nature reserves, wooded areas and eateries) available to staying guests in the guests information and pack.
The dog play area is a wonderful benefit however...more
