Thank you. See you again very soon. Excellent venue, service and experience. Worth a visit. Take care
It is difficult to know where to start as there is so much to be praised. With my family I have stayed in several high quality holiday properties in recent years but this apartment beats them all. From the moment that you pass through the gates you can leave the worries of the real world behind and feel transported to an exclusive and enchanted realm. The Hall and its gardens and apartments have all been renovated to the highest standard without being fussy or intimidating. All the staff are helpful and welcoming without being intrusive. And most notably (as one of our party is a wheelchair u...more
We had a lovely weeks stay at Netherby Hall. Very nice place, well appointed and spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We had a meal (fine dining experience) at the Pentonbridge Inn, which was lovely. This was great as Netherby Hall also provided transport to and from the Inn. We would return.
We were exhibiting at the craft fayre and so stayed 2 nights which was perfect. I think summer lightweight duvet is required and softer pillows. Maybe a footstool for feet up watching tv would make it even more perfect. Glorious place to stay very peaceful. We love it here. Have been twice this year.
Great location, quiet place for relaxing and switching off from work. Very friendly staff who made us feel welcome immediately. Would highly recommend
This was a really nice place to stay. The accommodation was of a high standard. The bathroom was very nicely done and the bed was clean and comfy. The kitchen appliances were modern and of good quality. The staff who we met (only 2) were helpful and friendly. The grounds of Netherby Hall are very well kept and a pleasure to stroll around. The only gripe we had and its only a small one, was that the TV would not connect to Netflix or Disney Plus type channels... not really a big issue, but in the evening there isn't a great deal to do after you've had your tea, other than relax and enjoy ...more
We had a lovely Christmas break at The Coach House. Cottage was lovely, very clean & had all the amenities that we needed. Nice grounds to walk around with our dogs too.
The cottage itself is well maintained- plenty of hot water and loads of towels provided The kitchen is equipped with basic utensils, coffee machine, small blender and cafetière Very small cups and the most basic glasses. Garden very secure for dogs which was great for us. At ambient temperature no more than 14oC hot tub took just under 4 hours to hear. Lots of wood provided to make use of it and the wood burning stoves inside. Longtown has a Spar with basic supplies. Would have liked some recommendations to sample local produce too. We enjoyed lunch at the hidden river cafe but otherwi...more
Geoff welcomed us to Netherby Hall and was very friendly and helpful at all times. A real asset to Netherby Hall. Restricted parking outside Grooms Quarters was not helpful so I asked if it would be possible just for unloading and loading car which was allowed but it would have been easier to park just outside. No local pubs nearby except Penton Bridge which was far too expensive. It would be helpful to have local attractions (nature reserves, wooded areas and eateries) available to staying guests in the guests information and pack. The dog play area is a wonderful benefit however...more
