Very warm, comfortable and spacious lodge in the heart of Speyside. Close to woods and walks and lots of nature. Excellent local shops and hotel nearby. Great base for exploring the Cairngorms and Moray coast.

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable week at Forest Trail Lodge. The house was well equipped with everything that we needed, both in the kitchen and in the other parts of the property. Although the house was cool when we arrived, the heating was very effective once we tuned the thermostats and there was always plenty of hot water. We particularly appreciated the access to the garage which enabled us to store our bikes securely. Having the log burner in the lounge was lovely as it meant that we could warm the house up quickly when we arrived and also gave us cosy room for the evenings. We loved being able to walk and cycle straight into the forest and welcomed being within walking distance of the local shops in Nethy Bridge. The only improvements that we would have appreciated would be some matches to light the log burner and a few more logs. We would definitely return to this Property

The location of house is great for Nethy Hotel , cafe , Farm shop
Nice walks from door ,
The house needs a little TLC in some areas ,
A full deep clean would most definitely improve the overall experience of guests ,

Lovely property made all the more magical with a white Christmas.

We had a wonderful and comfortable stay in this beautiful lodge, right on the edge of the forrest in Nethy Bridge. Great communication and support from Great North Lodges and hope to book again soon.

A lovely property in a great location, however lack of attention by the housekeeping team let it down.
The caretaker was quick to provide new pans and took on board our comments regarding the property.
Would definitely stay here again if an improvement in the housekeeping could be guaranteed.

This was our 3rd stay at Forest Trail Lodge, great house and location. Just out the house and into the forest. Very peaceful location, great garden if you have dogs or children, fully enclosed. Hopefully be back to visit in the future

Forest Trail Lodge is a comfortable, spacious and well equipped house in an excellent location on the edge of the forest.
Nethy Bridge is a pretty, friendly village with lots of excellent walks and trails just minutes from the house.
A lovely peaceful house and area to return to after busy days out.

A perfect holiday house in a beautiful location. We had a lovely holiday and enjoyed relaxing in the garden. It was ideal for us with the kids and the dogs lots of space and big dining table for us all. We loved exploring the woods on our doorstep!

I rented Forest Trail Lodge for my husbands birthday and we were not disappointed. We were 4 adults and 2 kids and there was plenty of room for everyone. The lodge is very spacious and has a nice homely feel to it. The huge garden with the forest at the back was wonderful for the children. We will definitely try and return in future.

Beautiful comfortable cottage, very spacious, spotlessly clean and well equipped. A super location right next to the forest where we saw deer and red squirrels. A lovely base for touring Speyside, away from the bustle of Aviemore.

Very spacious, characterful & great location for exploring.
Easily large enough to cope with young kids, parents & grand parents.
From footy in the garden, trails in the woods, a playground 100 yds away, coffee shop 2 mins stroll down the road, then cycling past the highland cow & beyond, steam train to Aviemore, kayaking in the lakes... castles everywhere...

Second time staying at Forest Trail Lodge and just as good as before. The cottage is well equipped, comfortable, cosy and in a great location for easy access to forest walks with a large secure garden for the dog to enjoy.

Lovely stay at Forest Trail Lodge. Everything was fab. Only negative was that we arrived on a very cold snowy evening with a four month old baby, and the house was very cold. It did heat up over night, but it would have been more welcoming had the heating been put on earlier given the weather.

We spent Christmas week at Forest Trail Lodge and it’s was absolutely brilliant. the location is fab, the house is beautiful. It was much bigger than we thought, the bedrooms are huge and very comfortable. Please GNL can you get a photo shoot done as the pictures on the web do not do this house justice. The kitchen has everything you need, and the dining area is lovely. The living room looks out onto the garden which is massive, the dog loved it. The walks from the house are really good, out the door and into the forest, the surrounding areas are also easily accessible. If your looking for a week away in this area do not hesitate to book this house. We enjoyed it so much we have booked for March 2023 and can’t wait to go back.
There is a really good butchers shop with plenty to choose from. Nethy Cafe is a must for Coffee and Cake

We enjoyed a great holiday at Forest Trail Lodge. We know the area well and this accommodation is situated in a lovely quiet spot with excellent walks from the door and a short stroll to shops and cafe. The inside of the lodge was comfortable and spacious for our party of six adults and had everything we needed for our holiday. The outside was also great for dogs and sitting out when weather permitted. We all would happily return here for another holiday in the future.
