Haven Cottage sleeps 2-6 guests in 3 bedrooms. It has a wood-burning stove to cosy up in front of during the colder months and free WiFi throughout. There's an EVC point here too.

We have just returned from yet another stay at Haven Cottage. Each time we walk through the door it feels like coming home. Linda and Neil are the most amazing hosts and always make us feel so welcome. Our grandchildren absolutely love it here, there are always tears when we leave. There is so much to do, feeding the hens, Rum the goat and 2 new baby goats this year. Riding Woody the horse is a highlight. The playbarn is great for the children , as is the playing field. Safe and secure for the youngsters to run free. Linda is so good with the young ones, they learn so much from her and the children love her. The cottage is
spotless and, has everything you need. Lovely sitting out areas and a view to die for. Linda's cream tea is just what you need after a long journey, delicious. Attractions are plentiful and all close at hand. We know Devon very well and, this has to be the best place to stay by far. A great big thank you again to Linda and Neil for another brilliant stay, we are already planning next years visit

This was our first holiday at Bampfield Farm, and we hope that it will not be our last. We had a really happy stay at Haven cottage with our son and two grandsons aged 3 and 6 years. The cottage was spotlessly clean, well equipped, comfortable and homely. The children were truly in their element, with a playroom full of toys and an outdoor play area full of interest, not to mention the animals, which they adored. Meeting up with Lynda to feed Rum the goat, Woody the pony and the hens every morning gave them some great experiences. A ride on Woody was the highlight – something they will always remember. Lynda was incredibly generous with her time, and patient, and she has a genuine desire to encourage young children (and us adults too) to understand more about farming. Watching the cows being milked and seeing the silage being brought in all added to the experience. Pebbles and Misty the cats popped by to say hello most days, much to the boys’ delight. Somehow we managed to tear them away from the farm to visit Woolacombe beach, Croyde Bay, Ilfracombe, Lynton & Lynmouth ((including a ride on the funicular railway) and the Lynton-Barnstaple line steam train. We made a lot of memories in our week in North Devon and feel lucky to have spent it at Bampfield Farm.

We were very impressed with the accommodation, we stayed in Haven Cottage which was very clean and well looked after. The kids, 6 years and 4 years old enjoyed feeding the chickens, goat and pony each morning. The milking parlour visit was really interesting and again kids enjoyed. alA good location for day trips out in Devon. The hosts were very welcoming too.

Wonderful stay at the farm. Kids loved the opportunity to collect eggs and feed the animals. The opportunity to go and see the milking was fabulous and we learnt lots about the process.
There are lots of toys available in the playbarn and the outside play area was great.
It was a really peaceful place to stay and perfect to unwind for a week.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Bampfield Farm in the Haven Cottage and were completely blown away by the hospitality shown by Lynda and her family.

Upon arrival, the cottage was spotlessly clean and thoughtfully equipped with everything we could possibly need, and more. After a long drive, Lynda’s delicious homemade scones were a perfect and much-appreciated welcome.

This is a fantastic destination for families. Our children loved helping with the animals and taking part in their farm jobs. Lynda is incredibly knowledgeable and was wonderful with the kids, answering all their questions with such kindness and patience.

Between the farm activities, the well-stocked games room, and the play area, they were entertained from start to finish.

We were very sad to leave and will definitely be looking to return in the future. Highly recommended!

What a fantasic stay!
Honestly one of the best most relaxing stays we have had in a while, lots to do on the farm, collecting eggs, feeding the goat and riding the horse. What made this so special was how nice and kinda Linda and her husband was, they were welcoming and we had some great conversations. My son has ASD yet connected with her so well and cried upon leaving due to missing her. Plenty of places to eat or eat in.

We loved Haven Cottage, it was very clean and well equipped. Everything had been thought of for accommodating our 1 children as well. The cottage is well set out, the 3 bedrooms worked well for us and there was lots of hot water.
The kids were delighted with the play area and had such a great time feeding the chickens and goats. My daughter also got to ride the pony which she loved (although now she is requesting riding lessons!).
There’s a lovely view from the property and we appreciated the friendliness of Lynda. A great stay. We’d love to come back!

We have just returned from another fantastic stay at Bampfield Farm, with our 9 year old grandson and 4 year old grandaughter. Haven cottage is so comfortable and spotlessly clean , with everything you need. The home baked scones, cream and jam provided as a welcome are delicious. There are plenty of activities for the young ones - feeding the animals, collecting eggs, pony riding and watching the cows being milked. There is also a great play area with swings, climbing frame and play house, also a play barn with every toy and game you can imagine. Also a football table that dads would enjoy. There is a bbq and different seating areas for the grown ups. The farm is just a short drive from beaches and other activities, which are plentiful. Lynda puts in so much effort to ensure that everyone enjoys their break, particularly with the young ones. We love it here and hope to return yet again next year. Don't hesitate to book your next holiday here, you won't regret it.

We had a wonderful time staying at Bampfield Farm. Lynda was a fantastic host, and we loved feeding the goats and chickens every morning and collecting fresh eggs. Haven Cottage was very well-equipped, clean and welcoming, and a perfect size for a family, and the Cream Tea on arrival was superb. The location was great - a short drive to Barnstable and close to plenty of seaside towns for beaches and coastal walks. We would thoroughly recommend!

A comfortable and well designed layout, with open plan living accommodation above the bedrooms and facilities. Plenty of seating for dining, relaxing and enjoying the sheltered patio. The cream tea with freshly baked scones on arrival, and fresh eggs during our stay were marvellous. The owners are on site in the house next door and really helpful if any issues arise. We had a lovely time (again) and look forward to our next excuse to visit the area!

We stayed Monday to Friday recently at The Haven cottage. It was to a high standard, clean, comfortable and on a quiet countryside location. The cottage is on two levels, lounge and kitchen on upper level and bedrooms and bathrooms on a lower level via stairs. The cottage had plenty of crockery, glasses and kitchen utensil, microwave, dishwasher and split level oven. We met Lynda the owner on Tuesday she is a welcoming host baking us fresh delicious scones. The accommodation is to a high standard on a working farm, there are chickens, goats and a pony on the site. We will certainly be returning as this is one of the best cottages we have stayed in.

We have just spent a fantastic week at Bampfield Farm and, only being able to give 5 stars feels inadequate. This holiday has been quite amazing and all thanks to Linda, who is one of the best hosts we have ever come across. Haven Cottage was very comfortable and spotlessly clean on our arrival with our two grandchildren, aged 8 and 4. The basket of Linda's homemade scones , cream and jam, were very welcome and delicious. For the adults there is some lovely seating with beautiful views to enjoy and the weather was good enough for us to have barbecues outside the cottage. There is also a fire pit with seating. The children were more than catered for with feeding chickens and goats, collecting eggs and having their very first horse ride on Woody, the Shetland pony. There was even a trip to the milking parlour to watch the cows being milked, which they really enjoyed. There is also a brilliant play area next to the cottage, all safely fenced in and complete with swings, climbing frame and tractors to ride on. As if that wasn't enough there is a play barn , complete with every toy imaginable. Linda is very good with children and our young ones learned a lot from her. We were all sad to leave but the children cheered up with our promise that we will return. Being regular visitors to this part of Devon we are very familiar with the area and there is plenty to do, and lovely beaches within close proximity of the farm. However, you will find that you won't want to stray far from this idyllic farm. Don't hesitate to book, you won't be disappointed. Many, many thanks to Linda and family, it was just brilliant.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting a charming cottage, and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality by the owner, who went out of their way to make our stay memorable.
The kids were overjoyed with the opportunity to learn about the animals and the milk processing firsthand. The owner patiently answered all of their curious questions, which made the experience educational as well as enjoyable. The horse riding and animal feeding activities were particularly beloved by the kids, who couldn't stop talking about it long after we left.
The cottage itself was immaculate and tastefully decorated. It had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay, and we felt right at home from the moment we stepped inside. Despite our short visit, we were impressed by the cleanliness and overall upkeep of the cottage.
Overall, our time at the cottage was nothing short of magical. The combination of friendly hospitality, engaging activities, and cosy accommodations made for an unforgettable experience. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature and welcoming hosts, I highly recommend this cottage. It's truly a hidden gem worth exploring.

We had a wonderful stay at Haven Cottage. The cottage was immaculately clean and comfortable with extra special touches such as fresh flowers and a delicious cream tea. The very generous welcome hamper was full of locally produced foods and Lynda delivered freshly laid eggs for breakfast in a little basket lined with hay. Adorable!
The wood burner in the main living area ensured cosy evenings and we loved going downstairs to bed! The main bathroom was stunning .
We would love to return and explore the beautiful local area further.

Our stays at Bampfield are always a pleasure, it is such a perfect location for us. Just over 2 hours from home and in the middle of some sublime English countryside. The peace, quiet and tranquility are always a much needed respite in our hectic lives and allows us to switch off and relax, in an environment that is close to our hearts. Both myself and wife have modest farming backgrounds, so the ability to 'collect eggs' and 'see the cows being milked' is amazing.

So many great places to visit not too far away, although we rarely feel the need to leave the farm. The beach at Saunton is perfect for families, such as ours and Barnstaple is 10 minutes away should you need anything.

Fantastic stay, this place is a total gem. Lynda looked after us very well. Freshly baked scones on arrival, loads for our kids to do (5 & 3 - stroking cows, seeing cows being milked, feeding the goats and chickens, collecting eggs and pony riding). Farm is stunning and only a short drive from Saunton Sands and Croyde. Really hope to come back. Thanks Neil & Lynda.
