Beechcroft Cottages are fFour picturesque beamy cottages on a gated estate in a pleasant and informal grouping. They are in a superb setting on the edge of the village of Cowbeech, with open southerly views across a small lake to rolling countryside. Guests love the ambiance, tranquillity and the privacy and individuality that each property offers.
We stayed here during the1st week of July with family, including our 5-month old grandchild. It was very comfortable with a spacious lounge/dining area and lovely traditional furnishings. There was plenty to explore in the area. Cuckmere Haven and Seven Sisters not far away with wonderful walks. Nearby Alfriston was charming and we loved Badger's for afternoon tea - lots of vegan and gluten free options.
The only reason I didn't give top scores throughout was that the hot water stopped working near the end of our stay, there was no ironing board provided and for the price we paid, we expected...more
The Oast House is a cottage full of character in beautiful surroundings.The weather was dreadful, stormy and very windy, but we were happy to spend time relaxing in this comfortable and cosy cottage. There’s a good pub in the village, an excellent village shop in a village just a couple of miles away and we thoroughly recommend The Star Inn at Old Heathfield for food. We had an excellent meal there on New Years Day.
