Lovely lodge set in beautiful surroundings, lots of wildlife and deer. Three local pubs within walking distance through fields and woods. Bosham Station a short drive away and also a local Co-op shop which was handy. The lodge was well equipped and comfortable, balcony upstairs to enjoy the sunset. Good sized outside space with sun most of the day, only suggestion would be they have some garden chairs/sun loungers to move around as you wish in the sun. There was a nice corner rattan sofa on decking and swing chair. We had an enjoyable week there.
Meadow Hide was immaculately clean and well presented and was equipped with everything we needed for a fabulous week in West Sussex. If you want peace and quiet then this is it. There guage itself, although in a small group of suchlike, was very private and screened from everybody else. The Hide looks out over the fields to hedgerows beyond and we saw a plethora or wildlife. Buzzards, Red Kites, Red Wings, Green Woodpecker, all of the "normal" garden jobs - even a peacock! It chose to roost noisily in the tree above the jacuzzi and watch us. A beautifully appointed cottage with excellent facilities was perfect for our weekend break. More than a home from home! Comfort was downgraded from excellent to good as the beds are small doubles and the mattresses uncomfortable which was not ideal for us.
We had a great time. The property was perfect for the 10 of us, with three dogs. Lovely walks up on the Downs. Loved the outdoor cooking options. Sarah was very amenable to chatting about potential walks, and helping us top up with more wood for the fires. Just a couple of suggestions though. The dining table was tight for ten people. I had imagined that there might be more connection between Lucky's and Silhouette's, as we ended up just using Lucky's apart from sleeping arrangements. Our stay at Lucky Stable was brilliant. The rooms were comfortable, the accommodation was spacious, and the hot tub was the icing on the cake. A good size secure garden kept. The dog entertained. We had glorious weather and a super weekend.
