This is THE place to spend time with the whole family. The apartment is spectacular. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a Christmas dinner and for those days when not cooking the Restaurant is next door. The bedrooms were so comfortable with two of them opening onto the fabulous balcony. For our party of 6 adults and 2 children the cinema room upstairs added to the pure luxurious feel of this apartment. Wow! The apartment exceeded our expectations. Spotlessly clean, tasteful interior furnishings, a perfect setting for a break. Will definitely be back in 2026.
Stayed here many times , the only disappointment is the TV …. It could do either upgrading to a Smart Tv …. Most people like to be able to get CATCH UP etc , NETFLIX - especially when you are staying during the winter months and dark evenings .Just a friendly suggestion /wish .

Wonderful few days between Christmas and New Year at Windermere Marina Village. The apartments are very well appointed and always spotlessly clean. This year we also ate at the Boathouse restaurant on site which was very pleasant.
We have just returned from a 7 day autumn break at 12 Marina View and have been very impressed with this apartment. Five of us stayed and we were very comfortable in this beautifully decorated place.The bedrooms are relaxing with very comfortable beds. The three bathrooms were a real bonus, too. The kitchen appliances are easy to use and of very high quality. We had family fun playing the large selection of board games provided. We have stayed at the village several times over the years and expect high standards. The apartment this year was easily the best. The quality of the furniture and fittings was first class. We have stayed in self catering apartments all over the uk and this apartment was, by far, the best equipped. More than enough crockery, cutlery, glasses etc and every possible utensil you might require. We had a couple minor issues understanding the fixtures and fittings and the response from the maintenance staff was extremely efficient and friendly. Second stay in this well furnished apartment which is dog friendly. Superb location close to onsite bar/restaurant with 10 min walk into town. Will be back next Xmas period. Yes it’s a little pricey at peak time but you get what you pay for

Just back from a fabulous 4 day break at the wonderful Windermere marina village and I must say we couldn't fault our stay at in apartment 32, from the warm welcome on arrival by the lovely reception staff to the fabulous apartment itself, we enjoyed every single minute of our trip. The apartment offers stunning views of the marina, whilst also providing home from home comfort, all within easy walking distance of Bowness itself. We look forward to returning in the future.
Stayed in one of these newer additions to WMV and was very happy with our stay. Great apartment with good views. Very comfortable.
As per usual we had a wonderful stay. No problems whatsoever. The only downside, I have been coming here for approximately 15 years, I used to get 10% discount, on this occasion (after some bartering) got 5%. As a loyal customer I think you should be rewarded.

This was our 3rd visit to Windermere Marina and as always the apartment was spotless with all you will ever need including the warm welcome from the reception staff. We took our dog and she even had her own welcome pack which was a lovely touch. The only criticism I have was the mattress in the master bedroom which I found impossible to sleep on due to how uncomfortable it was plus the pillows and quilt were lumpy. I ended up sleeping on the sofa for 3 nights which was not good and spoilt my stay there. If the bed was more comfortable I would have given a full 5 star review. The bed needs a ne...more
The apartment was spacious, clean with everything we needed. Staff were helpful. A couple of minor issues were addressed and resolved immediately with no fuss. Would recommend.
Fabulous apartment which was our second stay there and would highly recommend both the apartment and the customer service. Only down side for me is I know the apartment is on the market so just hoping that the new owners will still have the apartment for rental through WMV as would love to stay there in the summertime and enjoy the balcony and fantastic views even more
Very impressed with the facilities available and the cleanliness. The apartment is built and decorated to a very high standard. The queen sized bed was very comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped. The only negative was that it was too hot and the instructions say not to alter the thermostat. We turned the radiator valves down but it was still too warm.
It was such a pleasure to stay in this beautiful apartment…… we particularly enjoyed the outside area watching the boating world go by !
This is our second time here and it remains one of my favourite places to stay. The price is a tad high but it is so lovely that I'm prepared to pay it. The village is calm and relaxed, despite being near busy Bowness. The accommodation is top quality and the staff (apart from one instance) are friendly and professional. Highly recommended.
Great place, this is our 3rd time staying in this townhouse. Very clean and very well equipped. The mattress in the downstairs bedroom is a bit too firm though.
We had a fantastic stay at Apartment 48. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by the Village staff who were very informative and went through all the information on the apartment, the marina and the surrounding area and activities on offer. The apartment was fully equipped with high end goods and had everything required for a wonderful stay. The view of the marina with the Christmas decorations were a fantastic touch and made us feel so at home. New Year’s Eve party at the Marina View was the icing on the cake. Such a lovely apartment in a block of 7. No noise internally at all even though each apartment was occupied (it was the Scottish schools half term) and a beautiful balcony with a great view. Home from home and very clean. A wonderful 5 day break. I had a meal at the Marina View which was lovely and the staff so kind and attentive. Really relaxed and enjoyed every minute thank you!
This was our third visit to this property, our last in early November 2025. It was lovely as always but we were disappointed to note that the broken door in the master bedroom was still not fixed despite us flagging it up previously and there were no extra serving dishes which had also been mentioned. When full payment is being made we do feel that the owners should address issues raised and do their best to resolve them. In this case it felt as though our points had been ignored. Stayed here a few times over the years and love the location. First time staying in this apartment. A Christmas tree would have been a nice touch at this time of year but we soon bought one to make it more festive. Slight gripe…more seating is needed as the apartment could take four people but we felt there was not enough sofa space to be comfortable for the three of us. Also, the fridge seemed to be a missing shelf but we managed. Overall, a lovely relaxing stay.

Lovely apartment but living area is very small. Small kitchen but very well equipped. Main bedroom is huge with big comfy bed. Fabulous terrace, amazing views. Very good location next to pedestrian exit and Marina View bar. Just a bit tight on general space.
We have stayed at WMV many times, the latest being for 10 nights over Christmas and New Year 2025/2026. As always, the service and helpfulness of the staff at WMV was first class and the apartment was warm, comfortable and welcoming and had been thoroughly inspected and cleaned ahead of us arriving. Fantastic first floor apartment in a great location. Spacious, immaculate, well furnished and decorated to a high spec, with great views over the Marina. The customer service at the Marina is always first class and the doggy welcome-pack was a nice touch. Highly recommended, another excellent stay at the Marina Village.
We had a Fabulous stay at Windward Appartment 18. Great Location, short walk into Bowness. Very very clean. Reception team are Excellent. Only one gripe !! The Sofa in the lounge could do with upgrading, to something slightly larger.
A lovely stay at apartment 20. Beutiful views across the marina, the Christmas lights glistening on the lake. The apartment was very clean, the beds were really comfortable. Only downside was the sofa, wasn’t the most comfortable and a bit low. Our family enjoyed the break including our dog. Thank you for the doggy welcome pack. We would return again.
The location, secure parking and accommodation was very good. The services provided within the apartment as a self catering alternative was high and comprehensive. The cost for two nights was comparable with that of a 4 star hotel. The only minor comments was that the allocated car parking space was not outside the apartment, the internet dropped out frequently and the lounge sofa was not very comfortable. The weather was warm though wet during our stay so a cover to the outside terrace would have been great so that this space could be used to experience the boats in the marina.
On arrival the receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. The apartment was lovely and warm and the layout and facilities were fantastic. The shower was brilliant and perfect after a long day out in the wet and the cold. Just a couple of notes: the extractor wasn't working in the shower room (en-suite) and the extractor in the kitchen didn’t seem to work. All in all a we had a wonderful holiday in a beautiful apartment with everything you could need. Definitely will recommend to friends and family.
Lovely apartment, great location for walking into town. Spot on choice for boat lovers. Lots to do locally. And Marina view bar on site a bonus.

Excellent place for a get together with friends. Well appointed for walks & visiting all the lakes district has to offer or just relaxing looking over the marina. Staff very lovely & helpful it was a pleasure staying there.
A fantastic place to stay for a short visit. Sadly, the bed is not comfortable enough for a longer stay, as the mattress and pillows are cheap quality. The views are to die for and everything needed is provided for an enjoyable stay.
Stunning accommodation lovely, location really peaceful with amenities so close lots of lovely walks, we had the best weather sunshine in the Autumn, if thinking of going and can’t decide go for it totally recommend
We've stayed at Marina Village many times over the years. Always enjoy our stay. First time in this flat and really liked it. Found it very clean, comfortable and quiet. Lovely view over marina. Kitchen well equipped. Quality furnishings. Welcome pack of milk/tea/ coffee etc was great as no shop nearby. Only thing needed is a bin to collect items for recycling and maybe better storage in bathroom for toiletries. Hope to stay again.
Booked the Bowness 2 for 4 of us and it was lovely. Not on the main marina row, but still such a lovely cottage. Upside down layout so you can benefit from the view to an older, smaller marina. The cottages are a little tired now, but that is reflected in the price (still very clean). Lots of utensils for 6 people and there is a bed that drops down in the lounge if you need the extra space. I would absolutely stay here again and the staff were amazing! Next time we would definitely move over to the marina side for the better view. Thank you for such a lovely stay.
Original booking very dark. New booking much better, but we did not really need a 3-bed building. Impressive, but 2 major disadvantages- north facing with no sun and very small balcony
We had another short but enjoyable stay at WMV. Booking and arrival was efficient and friendly. The Cottage was very clean and well equipped as always and location is good with Bowness in walking distance. I would however comment that Ambleside 4 cottage is showing it's age and would benefit from a general upgrade in particular dining room/ lounge furniture and some attention to bathroom eg tiling/ grouting. This did not greatly detract from our stay but the issues were noticeable and whilst we would return, perhaps not to this property.
