The photos don’t do this place justice, it’s immaculate and the decor is a very high standard. Perfect distance away from hustle and bustle but we also had a gorgeous breakfast at the onsite restaurant. Highly recommend & would come back
We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Windermere Marina Village. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm welcome, the stunning views, and great atmosphere. The accommodation was spotless, stylishly decorated, and incredibly comfortable – everything we needed for a memorable getaway. The location couldn’t be better. Tucked right on the edge of the marina, it offered beautiful waterside views and easy access to the lake and nearby walks. This apartment is on the ground floor and in a great location. The facilities are good, the only slightly downfall is the light, it feels quite dark as the veranda is covered so natural light is limited in the living area. It is also a shame it does not allow dogs as it is the only larger accessible apartment. Other than that, a great location and we had a lovely stay.

The apartment is beautifully furnished , high end quality , kitchen appliances also high end , everything you need for a self catering break . The views are great with outdoor furniture , couldn’t recommend more highly

This is the 2nd time we've stayed in Apartment 16 & loved every minute of it. It is large & spacious with beautiful decor. Every detail has been thought of to make the stay as comfortable as possible. Large balcony/terrace with ample seating area & stunning views over the marina. We are already looking forward to our next visit!
We are regular visitors to WMV and have been smitten with the accommodation and facilities over the many years we have been visiting. WMV continues to offer high quality accommodation in a great location that ticks all the boxes for our family (including dogs) for all our activity-based needs but also having a superb base to relax and recuperate after days mountain biking, cycling, lake swimming, mountain walking, and trail running. Fantastic. But, as with all things in life, you pay for what you get.
Enjoyed another great stay at number 38. We take my elderly parents, it is perfect for them (and us ) all on ground level , very luxurious and super super clean. The staff on reception are very friendly and welcoming. Definitely will be a regular at number 38.
We visit Lake Windermere two to three times a year for a short break, staying in hotels or apartments This has been by far our favourite accommodation and I’m in the process of booking our next trip
Upon arriving at the Marina village reception we had a very friendly welcome and were given a small essentials bag containing tea, coffee, sugar and a pint of milk. We were also given a welcome pack for our dog which consisted of a tub of treats, a tennis ball and poo bags, which we thought was a very nice thing to do. We drove along and parked outside our apartment and entered the property. The Hawkshead Apartment is an amazing apartment with great views. Great location to get to amazing places in the lake district. Customer service was amazing, we were running slightly late and a lock box was organised. Had absolutely everything that was needed for a comfortable and luxurious stay
We have been staying at Windermere Marina Apartments for many years and this year hasn’t disappointed. This is the second time we have stayed this year so far. We just returned in Friday last and have already booked again for next week! I think this demonstrates how happy we are in that beautiful place and can highly recommend it.
This apartment is amazing, beautifully decorated, fantastic lighting, perfectly equipped to an exceptionally high standard and a real pleasure to live in. The view from the balcony of the marina is great, we sat and relaxed watching the boats come in and out, idyllic...the beds are really comfortable and using the blinds on the velux each room is in complete blackout, and silent, with quality linen and duvets. Loved our apartment as we have been before. 6 of us there and everything was in perfect order and room was ready early. Clean and tidy. Great thing with milk and coffee to pick up on arrival. Staff very polite and informative. The free 1 hr boat trip and Prosecco was an added bonus as well as the weather. We had a fabulous weekend. Thank you
Overall a lovely place, setting etc however if you are booking needing accessibility it isn't ideal. The only accessibility in the apartment is the wet room shower area, the toilet is standard level. Also, if you are requiring furniture that is raised ie room and kitchen seating and also a higher bed for people with issues getting up and down then it isn't the place for you.
This is our second time of staying here! It is a lovely comfortable and well equipped flat in a great location. I would highly recommend staying here! Being right on the Marina the view is beautiful Close to Bowness, just a 10 minute gentle stroll (along footpaths not roads!) your in the centre, from where you can take a cruise, enjoy everything Bowness has to offer, or get regular buses to Windermere, Keswick, Kendal and more.
We stayed here for a week as a family of 6, the house is beautifully decorated, spacious and the layout over 3 floors worked for us perfectly. The middle floor living area offers stunning views of the marina. The house is definitely a home from home. Nothing is too much for the reception team, we will definitely be back
This apartment is absolutely ideal for a stay of The Lakes. It has everything you could wish for. A superb view and ease to get into Bowness. This is our third time in this apartment and it won't be our last.
Lovely location, stunning property with every convenience that you could want. We loved every aspect of our time there. The property was spotless and very well equipped. The rooms were spacious and the beds and sofa were very comfortable. One evening we ate at the on-site restaurant and that was very good too. There was a good choice of food, the staff were really nice and it wasn't unreasonably priced. Or only slight disappointment was the recycling / waste facilities. 10/10 for staff from beginning to end. Location is just superb. Quiet but within 10 mins you have the business if you want. Great location to catch the ferry. You could easily park the car and forget about it for the duration of your holiday. Local transport is really good. Would highly recommend for sole traveller. Felt safe.
Everything was perfect apart from the toilet which, for me as a disabled person, was too low. Even with the single bar, I still struggled - two would have been better. This wouldn't put us off another booking. The balcony overlooking the Marina was a highlight. The unusually good weather meant that we could eat outside at all times.
A very well equipped apartment, had everything we needed. Perhaps the option of a fan would be a good addition for the living area - as a top floor apartment it got very warm in the recent heatwave. Good on site bar/restaurant
A lovely apartment to stay in as a couple Very spacious for two people with lovely views across marina and a bit of the lake. Everything you need kitchen wise, bed comfy but the sofa not so comfy for us. The location is excellent for walks into Bowness-On-Windermere and for walks via the ferry. Although as a bank holiday bowness was very busy, the marina its self was peaceful and quiet.
We stayed at the marina village at the beginning of August and had a wonderful time. Accommodation was lovely and the setting was perfect for us. Reception staff were very welcoming and helpful and we would not hesitate to recommend and stay again. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Our apartment was spacious, comfortable and very clean. It was located beside the restaurant but there was no noise to detract from our stay. Everything we required was in the apartment and we had a lovely stay. Although there was a high level of cleanliness some areas of the apartment would benefit from a fresh lick of paint.
The property is in an ideal location near Lake Windermere. The reception staff are always helpful as well as giving plenty of space to relax. The accommodation is stunning and has everything needed. The security and site cleanliness are spot on. The booking process and prior arrival information work well. The on site restaurant is great. My only request for improvement is to replace the carpet which is now stained in several places and fox the leaking roof over the balcony which drips water constantly, meaning you can't properly sit out on the balcony. Once again a marvellous place to stay.Have been coming here for last 7 years and still find it a loverly place,slightly expensive but well worth the extra.very good view from apartments and short walk to bowness

The location, secure parking and accommodation was very good. The services provided within the apartment as a self catering alternative was high and comprehensive. The cost for two nights was comparable with that of a 4 star hotel. The only minor comments was that the allocated car parking space was not outside the apartment, the internet dropped out frequently and the lounge sofa was not very comfortable. The weather was warm though wet during our stay so a cover to the outside terrace would have been great so that this space could be used to experience the boats in the marina.

We have stayed in this apartment a number of times now. The location is great, just a short walk from the ferry and Bowness with plenty of walks from the doorstep. The apartment is also dog friendly.
This was the 5th time we have stayed at the lovely Windamere marina always enjoyed our stay staff are very helpful if you need them it's very central for some lovely places around
We had a great weekend staying at Marina Village. Very easy checkin with lovely friendly staff who were so helpful. Unfortunately we felt the cottage was very tired & dark we needed to keep light on at times. The view at the back was poor/untidy and the outside wall needs painting. The standard inside was high and very clean and has everything you need although we were left dishwasher.washer tolablets but instructed not to use the eappliances which didnt really bother us with only staying for 4 nights. Beautiful setting on the marina , Everything was 1st class in apartment , except the bed which could have been larger and more comfy . We really enjoyed our stay and will return . Lovely and quiet in the Marina Only a ten minute walk into Bowness. The on site restaurant and bar was excellent .
Our second stay at this property, and our 5th time at the Marina. This is a favourite property with our growing family, the outside space and furniture sets it above the others at the Marina. The Marina is set away from the busy crowded bits of Bowness, but still near enough to walk in if you want. Handy for ferry and Kayak/bike hire. Our favourite trips this year- boat to Ambleside and walk to the falls from the town centre (via the bakery!), and Low Wood Spa is amazing
I stayed for a three night break with my grown up family. We enjoyed the luxury of the house. Exceptional house in a fabulous location. All rooms provided everything you needed for a relaxing break.
When I arrived I was very impressed with the village and the apartment, but that didn't last long. I received a long list of rules of what was not allowed. It felt very uncomfortableand I wasn't able to relax because I had to make sure I didn't do anything wrong. The apartment was beautiful but very little extras for the price.also when I used kitchen roll to dry up some water from the floor tiles in the kitchen area the towel was dirty proving it hadn't been cleaned for our arrival. Booked the Bowness 2 for 4 of us and it was lovely. Not on the main marina row, but still such a lovely cottage. Upside down layout so you can benefit from the view to an older, smaller marina. The cottages are a little tired now, but that is reflected in the price (still very clean). Lots of utensils for 6 people and there is a bed that drops down in the lounge if you need the extra space. I would absolutely stay here again and the staff were amazing! Next time we would definitely move over to the marina side for the better view. Thank you for such a lovely stay.
The apartment was very spacious and clean. There was even a small room with a washing machine. The view of the marina from the huge open plan living space was beautiful, with windows that opened most of the way out. It was a lovely evening when we arrived so we were able to open them right up and sit on the bar stools having a drink looking out. There was a slight wind so we were appreciating not being sat on a balcony. If you want a central location in the Lakes then Windermere Marina Village is hard to beat. A picturesque setting on the edge of the lake, just a 15 minute walk into Bowness along the shoreline with opportunities for the kids to paddle and skim stones. The staff at reception couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant and deserve 10/10. The bar/restaurant was super handy with great food and extremely pleasant staff too. Windermere marina village is a great place for a break. South of Bowness, it is nice and secluded and despite the many properties is peaceful and relaxed Easy walking distance from Bowness means there is no need to worry about getting your car around the busy roads as the transport links are excellent. A super restaurant and bar, The Boathouse, on site provides a relaxing place to eat and drink while watching the boats The on site staff are friendly and helpful and available if needed.
