Lovely place to spend our time in Forres .small and compact ,well equipped . lovely peaceful setting and nice people what's not to like .yes we hope to return
Really lovely place to stay. The lodge is small, but was good for a week's stay. Immaculately clean, beautifully furnished and equipped. Great hosts too!
All was perfect, apart from heating at start. Beautiful, clean studio. Excellent location for course at Naturally Useful I attended.
A great stay in a quiet country location which couldn't be more convenient for the course we were attending. We received a warm welcome from the owner who introduced us to our accommodation and allowed us an early check in to match the start of our course. As we didn't have a car, the onsite shop gave us the opportunity to stock up on the essentials. Will stay again if ever we are back in the area.
Oak Lodge & Marcassie Farm afforded me the perfect space/environment to have a 3 month silent meditation retreat. The lodge was very comfortable, cozy & warm. My hosts Betsy & Sven could not have been kinder & willing to resolve any issues I had.
From the moment you arrive you are made to feel like a returning member of the family. Betsy gave a fantastic whistle stop tour of the studio and everything was ready for you to put down your bags and settle in and relax. I found the room spacious, super comfortable, clean and cosy. I especially loved being able to sit and look out the window listening to the birds. The kitchen has everything you could need and it was great having the farm shop on hand for any last minute, delicious supplies. There was so much more to explore and do which I didn’t get to so I am looking forward to returning.
