We chose The Haystore because it was in a lovely part of the country. The booking process was easy and personal and all necessary information was sent to us ahead of our stay. The Haystore was immaculate, everything was well thought out with an eye for detail eg. the kitchen had everything you would expect plus more, the beds were very comfortable (including a choice of pillows) and there were even key supplies for our dog. My wife and I and our 5 pampered pooches (we got special permission to bring all of them) had a wonderful stay at the Byre for the past 2 weeks. Carly and Richard really had thought of everything, we didn’t think for a second, oh I wish they had this or that as it was all provided! We had lots of day trips to the lakes, to the Yorkshire Dales and to nearby towns and attractions - my highlights were 1) swimming across Ullswater lake, 2) visiting the Ingleborough caves, 3) dinner at the Fat Lamb and 4) the amazing chips at the Black Swan. A fine property,lots of exposed timber,very uplifting to be within.lovely countryside,the adjacent beck could be heard gurglinng and splashing.Regular visits from the red squirrels to the feeders.Peace and quiet and very close to open countryside.cozy wood burning stove to warm the evenings.Underfloor heating worked a treat.well stocked with maps and local information
the local Village Ravenstonedale is lovely,fine architecture, two cracking pubs and a playground for the little ones.
