We had a perfect stay at the Haystore. Have never stayed anywhere that just as you are thinking 'that would be useful or nice to have' it almost appeared before you! Everything easy, comfortable, very carefully thought out. Beautifully looked after, the most generous welcome hamper supporting local businesses and their fantastic produce. The dog also had a thoughtful welcome pack and we felt he was welcome. Thoroughly enjoyed our escape into the beautiful countryside nestled in the mountains. We were treated to a week of sunshine and the Byre was the perfect location to enjoy this with our little pup! Really enjoyed our stay at The Carthouse. What a superb location, rolling hills, spectacular fells and wonderful wildlife. Visited by red squirrels daily which was a joy and the walks from the Green are truly inspiring. The Carthouse has everything you need and it is a cosy retreat especially when the weather closes in.
