We were a large multigenerational family group occupying Godwick Hall and The Stables. Communication was excellent from the point of booking and in the run up, also whilst we were staying. Check in was easy. The kitchen was well stocked. The bedrooms were great sizes and beds were very comfortable. Fans were provided in every bedroom. Water pressure didn’t suffer when multiple showers were being used.

As a big group, we were all able to eat together either in the Hall’s dining room or by the pool, or outside in The Stables. The walk between the two properties is one minute across pea shingle so very easy. We found being in two properties didn’t at all hinder our feeling of being together in a group. The pool was lovely and warm and maintained very well, as was the sauna.

All in all, we had a fabulous stay. We’ve been having a big family trip away for many years now and this is the nicest accommodation we have found, with the added benefit of the beautiful views and the pool and sauna. Plus it was extra special as we experienced the partial eclipse and meteor shower!

We booked this for a large group of family members including a wheelchair user. The house was excellent, well equipped, comfortable and useable. We were very happy with every part of this accommodation and in particular appreciated the effort that James went to in making the house cooler before we arrived, as we were staying during the June heatwave. We especially appreciated the swimming pool! The different parts of the garden for dining and hanging out were appreciated by us all. Would definitely return.

We recently stayed at Godwick Hall in Norfolk for 4 nights with a large family group of 13 people (6 adults, 7 children) plus our family dog, and we had a fantastic experience from start to finish.

The property itself is beautiful, spacious, and incredibly well suited to larger family gatherings. There was plenty of room for everyone to relax comfortably, and the setting is absolutely stunning — peaceful, picturesque, and perfect for both adults and children. It felt very private whilst still being welcoming and homely.

One thing that really stood out was the level of care from James, the owner. During our stay we unfortunately lost access to water one evening, but James reacted immediately, kept us updated throughout, and had the issue resolved within a couple of hours. These things can happen anywhere, but the speed and professionalism with which it was handled made a huge difference and was genuinely appreciated.

Overall, we made some brilliant family memories at Godwick Hall and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a special place to stay in Norfolk, especially for larger groups and families with dogs.

We stayed at Godwick Hall for a week over the Christmas period. The house and outside grounds were beautifully decorated for the festive period. We were met by the owner on our arrival. He was welcoming and available to answer any questions during our stay. The house was spacious and provided very good accommodation for the three generations in our family group. The Christmas hamper and turkey, which were provided, were superb and enjoyed by all. The décor of the house was attractive and the bedrooms were luxurious. The games room was very popular and well used. We enjoyed exploring the local area and would certainly consider returning for another stay. We highly recommend this property to others.

We booked Godwick for a large group of family and friends to celebrate my parents' Diamond wedding anniversary. It was an amazing weekend. The property was warm, welcoming and comfortable. A spacious home from home. We would most definitely return.
There are some issues with flies, but that's nature for you! And we couldn't charge our vehicle and had to drive to neighbouring Fakenham to do so, so Id advise making sure you've got sufficient chargd to do this, if needed.
But, I have to say, all in all, you will not be disappointed staying at Godwick. Just arrive and exhale. A truly relaxing environment!

Lovely House. Great for largish groups wanting to have a few days together.
Generally very comfortable, particularly the beds.
Only disappointment was the very flaky (and unsecured) WiFi which continually dropped out depending on where in the house you were.

We were a party of 12......6 adults with 6 children aged 2 to 9. The rooms had been designed by a local interior designer and were exceptional and fitted out to a high standard and quality. Lots of space for the children to make noise and run around and doing what children do.......with also enough room for the grown ups to hide and chill out when necessary.

Games room was fun but I've recommended to James the owner, that he invests in a heavier set of darts in the event that Luke Littler makes a visit.

Lots of room in the garden for chilling and playing.......the outside pool was superb.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Godwick Hall.....in fact I have and friends of ours are making enquiries for 2026.

James and his team kept their distance during our stay but were there if needed. Was good to say hello to him on our last day.

We had a lovely time. There are local places to visit, we saw seals and went to a couple of the local National Trust locations. Equally the house and pool were lovely to relax in and as we were a group of 11 we all did as we pleased.

Would highly recommend this beautiful house. Perfect for large gatherings and is extremely comfortable and spacious. All the bedrooms and bathrooms are beautifully decorated; there is an excellently equipped large kitchen. Set in lovely rural grounds but perfect for exploring nearby towns and beaches.
Communication with the owner was excellent and we were greeted with a beautiful hamper being left for us.
Our only regret was that we didn’t have longer there!

Godwick Hall was fabulous accommodation for our large family. We had an amazing stay and each room was well presented and provided all the essentials for our stay. The games room was a big hit and we had lots of fun playing games until late. The kitchen was well equipped and the welcome hamper was a love thought.
