We stayed The Tap House as a family of four and frequently went to the Northbrook Arms for our meals. Our stay was fantastic - the property itself is very comfortable and has all the amenities one might required. The pub staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially when it came to spoiling our two children :-) We cannot wait to visit again.
We are so glad we chose to stay at the Northbrook Arms. As far as short stay accommodation goes, Plough Cottage offered all the conveniences you could want for, and many additional extras. The thoughtfulness of the welcome items, the decor and the styling of the property is wonderful. The team on site at the pub were very helpful and having the restaurant and pub next year was perfect. I recently stayed at the Barrel Room as I was working in the area, and it was perfect for what I needed. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the kitchenette was very well equipped with a lovely selection of teas available. Due to the time of year the nights were cold, but the room had heating and an electric radiator so it was cosy in no time. The weather was sunny one day so I was able to eat lunch outside on the bistro table and chairs, which I can imagine will be nice for breakfasts in the summer. This was our second visit to The Old Bakery and it won’t be our last! Impeccably clean, beautifully decorated and tucked away in a truly tranquil setting, it really is a perfect home away from home. The food and atmosphere at the Northbrook Arms next door are fantastic - such a bonus to have that on the doorstep. A gem of a place!
