Beautiful accommodation. Well equipped, comfortable and excellent location as well as very good value for money.
This was our 2nd stay at Dickers House, the location is perfect for visiting the many lovely beaches and tourist spots. Holt is just a short drive away where there are shops, cafes and most things you will need. Dickers House is a very unique and special house, it has everything you need for a relaxing break. The sun lounge with a large TV is great for chilling out after a long day exploring and there is a beautiful garden to enjoy when the weather is good. The bonus is having the Hunny Bell pub next door, the food is great, staff friendly and not noisy at all despite being so close.
Wonderful cottage, excellent facilities, very comfortable beds and lots of character. Bathrooms are fitted to a very high quality, my daughter loved the full body shower jets. Lovely quiet village with some excellent restaurants less than a 5 minute drive away. Will definitely look to book again.
The cottage was very comfortable and in an ideal location. It was lovely to have the garden to sit in.
Wash House was very comfortable, spacious and clean on arrival. The location was perfect, tucked away but still close enough to the coast for plenty of walks. Waking up to the sound of the pheasants was lovely. Kitchen was very well equipped although we didn't do much cooking. So very peaceful at night too, plenty of stars out. The enclosed garden was just right for our dogs. Would happily stay there again.
We had a lovely stay in Rose Cottage. It's in a great location, is really nicely furnished, and has a wonderful garden as well. Everything was neat, clean and tidy, and the finishing touches made the cottage really special.
The house was better than I expected with views right out to the lifeboat station and beautifully clean. The location is perfect. It was perfectly comfortable and just right for exploring the area. Holkham Hall is well worth a visit and if you get the bus from just over the road from the house, rather than using a car, they give you a massive discount!
We recently stayed at 1 bloomstiles in Salthouse, Norfolk. On arrival we was greeted by the most impressive hamper, filled with yummy produce from the local store. Such a lovely touch and by far the best welcome hamper we’ve ever had, and we’ve rented quite a few holiday properties in the past. We was pretty blown away by the property. The house has been beautifully renovated and very tastefully done. Every detail has been considered carefully. There was ample of room to fit our family of 5 and our dog Valerie. Although the location is quite remote, There is a lovely pub and a convenience ...more
Beautiful cottage and very comfortable accommodation. It is very centrally located for lots of attractions and places of interest, with many pretty villages and towns to visit too. Easy access to the beach, great village pub and a well stocked shop across the road. What more could one want?
1st time here but stayed on the farm before so not surprised by the quality of the property. Garden was good for the dogs and the cottage is well placed to visit the coast and beaches. A couple of more comfy garden chairs needed the only slight negative.
Central heating boiler broke down so had stone cold radiators. Unable to be repaired so we were very unhappy
Honey Barrel Cottage was the perfect location for our week long stay on the north Norfolk coats with our dog. The cottage is small but just the right size for the three of us. Living in a very old house, as we do, we're well accustomed to and appreciative of the quirks that come with period properties. We very much hope Honey Barrel will become our go-to accommodation whenever we're up in neighbouring Norfolk.
Lovely cottages and well placed for numerous visits to suit most tastes. Road to the front not noisy so shouldn't put people off. Generally well equipped with empty storage cupboards for our provisions which was great. Milk in the fridge and some tea and coffee to get you started was nice. Also a pack of biscuits, however, when reading the visitors book we were envious at the welcome packs of old!! Only down side was the lack of a large fridge or an freezer. The advert is over generous as the integrated fridge (so space is lost) has a small ice-box. For self catering (we were 50/50...more
We had a good week at the Riding Stable, whilst the cottage was reasonably clean the place is looking somewhat tired and is in need of some updating and refurbishment. We were awakened by the alarm sounding on several nights and eventually the internet died. Having said this we did have a fantastic time and would recommend it.
good location for seeing the whole of North Norfolk - Cromer 10 mins away - if out all day can visit Hunstanton to the East and see the seals near Yarmouth to the West. plenty of good pubs for lunch, but it was clear the cost of drink and food has risen. 2 local pubs that could be walked to for evening meals. good value for money. property had not been used during Covid, was clean and tidy and fully equipped for our stay. operating instructions for the oven need to be provided, managed to sort out in the end, not a major issue. parking was good with vehicles secure. outside security lights ...more
Lovely cottage quality fixtures great location. May well come back. Very slightly let down by cleaning, dust on some surfaces and upstairs floors. Shower grubby around bottom of doors.
very good little cottage nicely furnished with very comfortable beds.very well equiped crockery and cutlery.the only minor fault was some of the surfaces were dusty
