The property was great it had all the equipment required particularly all that you need for infants. It was lovely and clean and very comfortable. It was ideally located to lots of tourist destinations and very close to the beach. Would certainly recommend and personally would return
lovely bright and airy space, clean and spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. Well equipped - would stay again!
What a gorgeous place to stay! The house is beautifully fitted out and feels comfortably luxurious. You feel like you're in a hotel, but with all the advantages of self-catering. It's a fantastic location too - just a short stroll down to the lovely harbour front and town, yet it's incredibly peaceful and quiet at night., so we slept really well. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. There are two gorgeous sitting rooms, and we also loved sitting outside to eat in the walled garden. Stunning!
Wow! What absolute stunning cottage. Really well equipped in such beautiful surroundings, the garden reminded us of ‘The Secret Garden’ we loved the garden and its views beyond so much. Extremely comfortable beds, beautifully clean rooms and a real home from home feel made our stay extremely enjoyable.
A most enjoyable and pleasant stay at this charming cottage. Everything was in good condition and had received attention to detail, contributing to an excellent holiday experience.
The house was very clean, tidy and in good condition. Great view from the 1st floor living area. Had deer visiting the pond on most days. Convenient location for all amenities that Wells has to offer. Really enjoyed our stay there.
Beautiful little hideaway in a charming village setting. Only negative comment is that the sofa is not very comfortable but a minor issue. Local pub, The Red Lion, were very welcoming and the food excellent. Carol singing on Christmas Eve was lovely. Christmas tree set up in the cottage was a thoughtful touch, as well as the wood burner set and ready to be fired up. Would we visit again……yes definitely.
For our five night stay at Honey Barrel Cottage in Stiffkey, we were extremely pleased with our choice of accommodation and its location in a beautiful part of North Norfolk. The cottage certainly lived up to our expectations, both in its quaintness and character, being typical of the area. The accommodation was very clean and provided all the provisions one would need when self catering; there was even basic food stuffs and complementary milk and biscuits. A very cosy place to stay, set within a courtyard surrounded by other individual flint cottages, this was perfect to soak up the atmospher...more
Very quiet cottage in lovely spot. Stiffkey stores and Red Lion within walking distance and worth a visit. Cottage garden beautiful. Many places of interest nearby to visit. Front room not enough lights - very hard to read, especially if eyesight poor, and lamp wasn't working. Small bedroom would benefit from chest of drawers rather than large table and chair There was no visitor comment book that we could find which is always useful to see others suggestions Limited info on walks in area
Thoroughly enjoyed our week in Blakeney based in this lovely little cottage. The central location in the village was brilliant although we didn't use the Harbour Rooms nextdoor!
Extremely well equipped and comfortable cottage and our dogs really enjoyed the secure garden. The welcome pack was lovely too. The cottage was very well positioned for all of the North Norfolk coast whilst enjoying a peaceful village location. Great property, which we will definitely like to stay in again.
We had a lovely stay in Butterfly Barn, helped enormously by the beautiful weather! We really enjoyed the location. It was very peaceful but close to everything we wanted. The service from Norfolk Stay was excellent. The barn was very clean, well equipped but felt a bit tired and unloved. A few little extra touches would have made our stay feel a bit more special. We will definitely come back to Norfolk and will book with Norfolk Stay but we won’t come back to Butterfly Barn.
Have stayed at the Wash House many times and hope to again. Well positioned and close to all facilities. Also very quiet location.
A great property. Very well equipped. Warm. Comfortable. It was everything we hoped for. I recommend this property very highly
My wife and i loved the town of holt.It has a great range of cafes, bars, restaurants and appealling shops. As we had previously stayed in sheringham we were looking forward to our stay in holt. The property in question is well located in a quiet area approximately 10 minutes walk from the town itself.Which was good,as we did not have to use our car for visits,as parking there can be difficult at busy times.I had some initial difficulty in accessing the property due to a stiff door lock(previously reported, but attended to i believe). The property itself was larger than we expected.Particularly the ...more
Tranquil setting, beautiful buildings & lovely secure garden. Interiors are tired & in need of full refurbishment. Would have been nice to have a clear map showing foot paths etc accessible from the barns. Children’s play area was closed which was very disappointing (& no prior warning).
We were very pleased with Harvey cottage, and it’s Gardens. Great for dog, with back and front garden is all secure. Comfortable clean accommodation with everything one could need for a short stay. Very clean. Very quiet location, with no immediate facilities, shops, pub.
Williams Barn was perfect for our party of 6 adults, one teenager and two children, 4 and 6. The grounds to property are vast and much bigger than is shown in the photographs on the web site. Inside the "barn" there is loads of space, each bedroom is big and so is the lounge. The kitchen is enormous and very well fitted out with lots of glasses, plates etc, cutlery, pots and pans. The only issue we had is that there is an AGA in the kitchen and we never found out how to switch it off and so had to keep opening the windows to let the heat out. We felt guilty for wasting all that oil it was b...more
Great location in a quiet village. Lovely outdoor space to enjoy al fresco dining. A very clean and well equipped property that exceeded our expectations.
Myself, husband and daughter stayed for 5 nights. We also brought the dog who loved his new home for the week. There is a nice garden to relax in and it was a comfortable stay. Shower not that powerful, but more than adequate for our needs. The welcome gifts that were left for us were lovely and a great touch. All round a wonderful stay and excellent value for money. We would recommend and would revisit.
The location of this place is excellent- it’s got a pub nearly next door, a lovely shop and is a few minutes drive from Wells and various other beaches. We thought the cleanliness wasn’t great- my mum arrived and re hoovered various places as it seemed like it hadn’t had a proper clean in a while. We had taken our own pillows and left them on the floor next to the bed and they looked dirty from just sitting on the floor. The house is very well thought out in various ways- outside is a bbq, crab buckets and lines, buckets and spades. There are a few games and a dvd player but sadly no ca...more
Comfortable, well equipped cottage in a nice peaceful location. Nice countryside walks around the owners farm. Helpful cleaning and gardening staff. Good quality meals available at the pub within walking distance.
We really enjoyed our holiday in Norfolk staying in Rose Cottage. We loved the location, the garden, the comfy bed and having two bathrooms. The cottage was well equipped and clean. We were slightly concerned about parking right on the road and would not have wanted to get children in and out of the car. Useful feedback to owners/managers - the seal around kitchen sink plug has perished meaning sink won't hold water. Needs replacement or provide washing up bowl. Garden shrubs and hedges were very overgrown and untidy. The garden would be amazing with a bit of a tidy up. Some fencing damage a...more
Great location to explore the north Norfolk coast and just a few miles from the pretty village of Holt. Nice enclosed garden at the ‘back’, secure for the dog . Ideal having a downstair Bedroom and shower room for my less mobile in law’s. Although kitchen quite small in comparison to the rest of the barn, it was very well equipped. The Wheatsheaf in the next village (less than 0.5 mile walk) was very good and catered well for those in the group with gluten free requirements. Would return if staying in the area again.
Downstairs grotty and unclean; the furniture falling to bits, ancient and looks like it has been placed there from a house clearance. Downstairs is not a nice place to be. Website does not mention the very steep stairs which are bare wood with cracks and very uneven and slippy coming down probably due to the black paint that has been used on them, certainly unsuitable for anyone with mobility problems. A rip off for the price paid. Norfolk Stay have not responded to my emailed complaint along with photographs which doesn’t surprise me with the condition of the property, hence to say I would n...more
We have stayed at April Cottage twice this year the first being in March my only criticism then was that a handrail would be good for the shower area in the bath. I was pleased to see that one had been installed upon our arrival for our latest stay. The Cottage has everything you need for your base in North Norfolk. Comfortable, quiet with plenty of room for 3 or 4 adults. It's well equipped and there is a decent pub within a short walk. Fakenham is only 10 minutes away where you will find a large Tesco for all your needs.
