We had a lovely stay in the Old Workshop in New Mills. The accomodation was truly unique and it was interesting to see reminders of the buildings industrial past. The main living area was spacious and the kitchen was well enough equipped for our catering needs. We found the beds comfortable and enjoyed the noise of the water in the river outside which lulled us to sleep-we found it very relaxing. One of the best things about our stay was the location. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, the suite was lovely and cosy with brick walls and windows with views of the stunning grounds. It feels like stepping into its own little world. The restaurant was great as well! Thanks for a lovely well needed rest :)
You could stay here without a car and arrive by train from Sheffield or Manchester! A simply amazing place to stay! Gorgeous accommodation in a beautiful setting. We walked to Hayfield and stopped at the Sett Valley tea room and caught trains to Edale and Hathersage. All magical! We have stayed three times now and can't wait to return.
Not a good set up for a bridal suite - very very early check out for previous bride results in embarrassing overlaps and tensions at change over. Having a separate bridal suite to get ready in on premise would massively improve this for bride and groom. Air bnb style, therefore no customer service. Accommodation is pleasant but nothing to write home about - there are notably better value air bnbs in walking distance from this one. Voucher included for cafe, but cafe service is questionable.
