Aitken House is located in the Yorkshire village of Millhouse Green. Our beautiful family-owned property is on the edge of the Peak District and only a short drive away from the renowned town of Holmfirth, sleeping 10 guests in 5 stunning bedrooms. As above, good location, good beds, lots of space. Choice of walks and pubs very local. Visit Yorkshire Sculpture park only 25 mins away so get some culture, exercise and fun in comfortable house

The house and grounds were well looked after, with plenty of crockery, cutlery and seating and general space for the whole family - 10 of us from 2-70 years old. The kitchen is enormous and well equipped. Cooking for ourselves was easy because of the facilities. Bedding and towels were very good quality.
Wentworth Castle is nearby and we called in there on route to the house.
The Trans-Pennine trail provided us with one objective for children on bikes and others on foot. The grounds were safe for the children and the pool table was welcome. The hot tub was spacious and well maintained.
On Easter Sunday we ventured over to Elsecar Heritage Centre where we had a very pleasant time.

Lovely house, nicely furnished, comfortable, clean and well equipped. Great for a friends gathering. The catering option was excellent for our Saturday night meal. Andrew provided delicious meals at very reasonable price. Easy to prepare after a long day walking. Would highly recommend.

It’s our third stay at Aitken House and our fourth at one of the Yorkshire Premium Property houses. Highly recommended. The house is lovely and very well equipped. We will be back!
