Gatehouse North exceeded my expectations. The cottage is located in peaceful parkland with dog walks straight from the door. The cottage itself is very spacious and clean with all appliances and furnishings in good condition. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you would reasonably need and the welcome pack came in useful. My two dogs appreciated the fully enclosed garden and chasing the many squirrels. Only a 15 minute drive away from a supermarket for supplies and only a twenty minute train ride to Norwich from nearby Worstead station. We had a small issue with the oven...more
Another fantastic stay at Estate Cottage! Everything was so clean and beautiful. Such a lovely touch with the welcome goodies in the fridge and biscuits etc. Beautiful estate with lovely walks, you barely need to leave the house and estate. The games room was popular too. Literally our only one slight criticism, which we mentioned about after our last stay, is that the two TVs in each lounge are quite tiny for such big room's, and I think we would have felt more relaxed and cosy on chilly evenings, if there was maybe just one larger TV in one of the lounges, to watch films and TV together on, ...more
A charming secluded cottage offering quietness and total privacy with a wonderful hot tub and enclosed garden. Clean and well equipped. Good shower. Comfortable bed. Good Wifi. Simple to use tv. The quirky staircase was quickly mastered. Wonderful evening meal at The Recruiting Sergeant (Horstead) but need to book in advance. A long wait for Sunday lunch at The White Lady (Worstead) but still good. Good beer from the taproom at the Wildcraft Brewery.
