We recently stayed in Glen Glack in the larch cabin which comfortably accommodated 4 adults and our dog. We loved everything about the cabin from its location on the banks of a loch with woodland trails all around to its excellent facilities internally. The bedrooms were warm and comfortable. The kitchen/sitting room was spacious and well equipped with a beautiful wood burning stove. The cabin was sparkling clean and well equipped had a lovely welcome gift upon arrival. The cabin is located on the outskirts of Dunkeld, a picturesque town with many restaurants , shops and attractions all of whi...more
Only criticism was couldn’t figure out heating. Didn’t come onto later. Heater in lounge wasn’t that warm. Upstairs got a bit hot as heat rises. Otherwise excellent stay would stay there again
We had a super stay at Charlottefield, and can't wait to return. The cottage is perfectly located with amazing views from all rooms. We loved being able to walk in to the countryside from the front door, and returning to soak in the wood fired outdoor bath. We would highly recommend the cottage, and the service we had from the team at Atholl Estates was first class.
Just returned from a fabulous holiday staying in Blairinraish West. The cottage was comfortable, clean and warm, which was very much appreciated as the weather didn’t get much above freezing and the week ended with Storm Bert. The view from the cottage is wonderful and the walks from the door are varied and beautiful. A perfect place for a quiet and relaxing holiday and I’m sure we will return!
On arrival we were blown away by the quality of the cabin and location. Well appointed and immaculately clean, the views over the loch and the woodland walks make this a dog lovers dream. Will definitely be returning.
Lapwing shepherds hut is a lovely little place for anyone wishing to escape for a few days. The huts are very isolated with the most beautiful views over the valley. Inside we found everything we could need for the few nights we stayed. The log burner was great and a nice touch to have it all ready just to light when we got there but made the hut far too hot and we had to open the windows and doors. Nice big fluffy towels and heated towel rail was a treat on the cold mornings, even the view from the loo was lovely!! Bed was comfy and the pillows good. Place was immaculate and I could not fa...more
Our third stay at Glen Glack, testament to how much we enjoy the whole experience, from the cabins to the setting. Peace & quiet, comfort and a glorious landscape, what more could you want. It’s a special place to be, whatever the time of year, and we always leave feeling rested and looking forward to planning our next visit.
Any chance of a larger double bed in the main bedroom ? Perfect for our needs. Why do I need to submit 100 characters ?!!
had a relaxing few days away from the hectic life of work - the cottage is fantastically located at the end of a road with access directly into the hills for walking etc. Internally it had everything that was needed & finished to a high standard - our only complaint was it was too warm even though it was below freezing outside! Would definitely come again
The glen is a wilderness haven and Marble Lodge is perfectly placed for long and short walks, fishing and shopping in the local villages. The cottage is very comfortable and a generous welcome pack was provided on arrival along with a good supply of logs and coal. Looking forward to returning again in the future,
Forest Lodge is down an 8 mile single track road so in winter conditions it’s best to get a 4x4. The Lodge itself has great facilities lovely bedrooms newly refurbished bathrooms. The drying room is a godsend for people who get up on the hill. It would be nice to have some stalking sticks for guests to borrow as lots of our visitors flew into Edinburgh so we’re unable to bring their own. This makes a big difference when ascending and descending.
Very relaxing stay in excellent accommodation, and a beautiful area. The log fire was a great hit as we had snow. Will definitely visit again.
Glen Glack Cabins are everything you could hope for from a cosy cabin stay and more. The location is stunning, we stayed in the Willow for two nights and our only regret was not staying for longer as we wanted to explore so much more than we managed to! The cabin also felt private which we appreciated. The decor is stunning with beds that you melt into and gorgeous sofas and furnishings. Thank you for creating such a cosy haven! The kitchen is perfectly equipped! The only thing we found ourselves wishing for was a couple of board games! We will bring some along next time, but it could be a nic...more
Our 14th year at Old Blair. The Lodge was well equipped and very comfortable. Upgrades over the past couple of years have improved the kitchen although diminished the number of surfaces available for catering. The lock in the 2nd floor bathroom needs replacing. Highly recommended accommodation
Booked the Curlew hut as it was close by and dog friendly. As someone who is always on the go and connect via phone and email I was a little skeptical to have no WiFi or TV but we honestly don’t miss it. There is great phone signal so you are not completely cut off. The views were beautiful and the cabin had everything we needed for 2 nights. To be honest we didn’t want to leave and could easily have done another night or 2. The bed was cosy and comfortable, sitting out by the fire out at night and watching the sunrise was just the break we needed from life. Would certainly recommend and would...more
Another fabulous stay at the Juniper cabin. We stayed with our dog over the weekend and had a relaxing visit. We've visited a few times so know what to expect and it has almost become a second home to us! We also appreciated that after running out of some wood that someone was able to drop some extra off for us for log burner.
This is a charming and really well equipped lodge with great atmosphere. The rooms are large and it is a warm house.
