We will certainly book the cottage again subject to availability. The wildlife on show was wonderful and the bed probably the most comfortable I have slept in whilst on holiday. The cottage was central to all the areas we wanted to visit and one could escape to the quiet surroundings every night. Would be nice if the cottage was stocked with some of the basics such as clingfilm and foil. Overall the holiday was relaxing but you have to have transport.
The Clachan Cottage was a perfect, relaxing base for exploring Perthshire and basking in the beauty of nature and history. There are so many beautiful walks within a reasonable drive. It was easy to run to Pitlochry for a meal out or to buy groceries, and even faster to pop into House of Bruar for high end treats at their food hall. We had a fantastic stay in Larch cabin! From the outset, the Atholl Estate team could not have been more helpful and friendly, and they kindly arranged a travel cot and highchair to be available for us to use. Similarly, the email information pack we received beforehand made it easy to make the most out of our time there. The cabin was well signposted from the main road and easy to find and check in. We loved the cottage. A private hideaway in the middle of nature. Extremely clean and very nicely decorated. It was a great base to travel from.
Cottage was very well presented and equipped with a good enclosed garden for our dog. Great layout and amenties in the cottage. Only downside was that you have to follow a single dirt track road that’s very bumpy with potholes for a couple of miles to get there. If this had been clear in the description we would not have booked it.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and all 3 of us said we’d love to come back to Glen Glack. I’m not sure how many weeks of the year it would be used but we could have done with a fan this week. That said, thank you for organising beautiful weather (one biblical hail storm notwithstanding). My only gripe was the sparsity and small size of pots and pans. Cooking for 3 with what we had was really difficult. We had to cook in batches making the task longer and the lodge warmer. We loved it though. We will return.

Gorgeous lodge in beautiful location. Well appointed properties with amazing walks and scenery on doorstep. Given price of stay an additional touch would be a welcome pack of milk / bread ? Although the fresh eggs were appreciated.
All the comforts of home and against a beautifully restored background of a cozy cottage at the end of a one-track-road. Well equipped kitchen and audio visual gear.
Great location for the Highland Games. Wonderful walks directly from the property. Overall property very comfortable for 3 people and very nice to have the laundry. Would definitely recommend to others!
We had a fantastic stay at Willow cabin. Everything was perfect - the cabin itself was luxurious and tastefully decorated and the view over Cally Loch was wonderful. We explored the trails, had some amazing food in Dunkeld and visited Blair Castle. There is so much to do in the area. We’ll definitely be back!
We really loved this house and its location. Whilst quite remote the setting and scenery were beautiful with loads of wonderful walks and great fishing. We loved the bathrooms which were all new and clean with bountiful hot water. Couldn’t have been more perfect for a week away. We will definitely return.
Excellent week with my partner and our 2 year old. The house was very spacious, clean with a nice feel to it. The location was excellent - we spent time at Aviemore, Newtonmore, Blair Athol and Loch Tay. There is a bus stop right outside the properties that goes to Pitlochry. We used this to go to Blair Athol, very handy!
We stayed at the Curlew Cabin on the Atholl Estate and it was a clean comfortable tiny home with all the equipment we needed. It had fabulous views over the countryside. The directions to get to the cabin were somewhat clear bit it would have been helpful to realise that the cabin was not on Blair Atholl estate but 12 miles away on another part of the estate.
Our 15th (?) year of our two families getting together in Easter holidays for long walks, cycles, games, and family meals. As the kids have got older they have dipped in and out depending on university, other holidays, work commitments etc. but everyone is clear they want to keep coming back to this beautiful old house with family connections from the 1950's. One of the main charms of Old Blair is how comfortable and relaxed it is. It is in lovely condition but not so smart that it lacks character. It is our special home when we visit
This cottage would not be for everyone, but that should be obvious from the description. The only thing that surprised me was the furnishings, which were a bit of a jumble. A decent bedside table would have been appreciated. Furnishings and decor were like being back in the 1960s, but appliances were modern. You can now stream programmes on the smallish TV, although one night that wouldn't work at all (it was on again the next night) so that was unexpected bonus. Beautiful scenery and very secluded cottage with great amenities. Great to be next to Dunkeld to nip down for dinner as well.
The house was roomy and comfortable with modern amenities for 17 people. Most bedroom-bathrooms had baths rather than preferred showers.Nice big bath towels in good order. Beds and bedding clean and comfortable.Two sitting rooms a good idea with a diverse age group. The snooker table and room was a very popular amenity. Kitchen was well equipped and everything worked but one cafetierre was found broken. Large separate pantry with big fridge. Good cold water and hot water supply. Spare bathroom bin bags would be useful. Drying/Laundry very good but electric dryer very noisy (broken?). Rug badl...more
