We had a perfect stay. A truly wonderful and well presented cabin situated in the most picturesque quiet location. Dog walks from the door so no need to use the car when venturing out in the surrounding countryside. Thank you
High quality, spacious property in a lovely location and well presented, straight forward online booking process. Thank you also for the free tickets to the castle: Some constructive points for your consideration: - Arrival instructions refer to key in key box which is not there and caused initial confusion - you should remove reference from the arrival instructions - Cottage is easily locatable on Google Maps/Apple Car Play - so you should say this in the instructions and no need to mention the "three words" app which is not widely used - Two of the lamps did not work - please check light...more
Thank you for a wonderful winter stay in a magical location . Fabulous estate walks from the door , a warm cosy cottage to return to & stunning views to admire from the windows .The early November snow turned it into a winter wonderland the day we left !
My family and I (husband and 2 kids - 10 and 13) stayed at Charlottefield over Christmas this year. The location is beautiful - the house looks out over fields and distant hills and there are lovely walks around the house on the Tulliemet estate. It's ideally situated between Pitlochry and Dunkeld, so a great base for exploring. The house itself is extremely cozy with comfortable beds, a spacious upstairs bathroom and a great living area with tv and fireplace. Highly recommended!
Beautiful, comfortable and practical accommodation. We were there over new year and it was snowing but the hut was very warm. Spotlessly clean, bed is very comfortable, and the kitchen is very well equipped. The two huts are cleverly positioned with fences, so no privacy issues. Really enjoyed the design too, they look great. Worth noting there is no wifi or tv, so bring books or boardgames for the evenings. Also some of the roads to the huts are bumpy and rocky, so be careful with smaller cars. Had a great time and would highly recommend.
We had a wonderful stay at this house. It was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up, making it feel like a home away from home. The location was great, and everything we needed was provided. We’d happily stay again and highly recommend it.
Beautiful location & cabin, the underfloor heating in the bathroom was fab, as was the deep bath and shower. Wood burner very quickly heated up the living area. Had everything we needed for a few days away. Will definitely be back.
Lot of plus points, very comfortable, and has been done up to a very decent standard apart from the bathroom: The bath is the same as one I have at home. It looks as if it has been in a field for some time ! It is badly worn and chipped in many places, it is very slippy when used as a shower, the plug seal leaks, the shower screen is very badly fitted and the tiles have been badly laid. It’s a great shame that the bath wasn’t sent away for re enamelling as it would have looked spectacular ! The hot water system does not support the the volume of hot water that this bath requires. Had a lovely 2 day stay in Hazel. A beautifully decorated, warm, comfortable cabin in a truly lovely spot. We booked very last minute and the Atholl Estates team were so accommodating. Would thoroughly recommend.
We stayed as a group of six adults and four kids, and it couldn’t have been better! The farmhouse and annex were perfect — loads of space, really comfortable, and full of character. The location was absolutely beautiful, with plenty to see and do nearby. We made so many great memories together and it was the ideal spot for a family getaway.
We stayed at Clachan Farmhouse and Annex near Pitlochry over Christmas and couldn’t have asked for a better family break. There were seven adults and one child, and the lodge was spacious, comfortable and beautifully prepared. The log burner, real Christmas tree, and thoughtful details like the Blair Castle placemats made it feel extra special. Practical touches such as the huge fridges and well-equipped laundry rooms were ideal for a Christmas stay. Thank you to Sharon for being so helpful before and during our visit, and a special mention to Jane, the wonderful housekeeper, who went above ...more
We’ve been many times to Blair Atholl estate and usually Marble lodge, this time for a large family Christmas we went for the much larger forest lodge. This was a great success, housekeeping tan had done a fantastic job preparing the lodge, and it was cosy and warm for our arrival, fire laid, and Christmas tree all decorated. Couldn’t fault the whole stay. Perfect location, an ideal venue for a large house party for a gathering of family or friends. Many thanks again! See you next time!
The location is stunning and was made even more beautiful by the gorgeous autumnal colours, spreading as far as the eye could see. Lots of trees planted between lodges gives plenty of privacy too. The lodges have a fantastic loch side position, take in the tranquil views while relaxing in chairs with sheepskin pads from your decking. The kitchen is very well equipped with an assortment of crockery pots, utensils and dishes. Plus the usual oven, hob, dishwasher and an under-counter fridge with freezer compartment. A microwave would be a useful addition however, and if wall mounted wouldn't us...more
Excellent stay at Curlew Shepherd’s hut. The location and views are stunning. The hut itself is cosy and well maintained with everything you could need.
The cottage itself is delightful and the decoration is beautiful. Very welcoming when we arrived as the lights were on and it was super cosy which made it very easy to relax. It has a second small bathroom downstairs with a sink and toilet in it which is handy as the stairs are at quite a steep angle so means you don't need to go upstairs every time you need the toilet. The views are amazing and they changed on a daily basis depending on the weather. It really is very peaceful and relaxing. The only thing to note if you are thinking of staying here is the road up to the cottage. You defin...more
Our 15th (?) year of our two families getting together in Easter holidays for long walks, cycles, games, and family meals. As the kids have got older they have dipped in and out depending on university, other holidays, work commitments etc. but everyone is clear they want to keep coming back to this beautiful old house with family connections from the 1950's. One of the main charms of Old Blair is how comfortable and relaxed it is. It is in lovely condition but not so smart that it lacks character. It is our special home when we visit
We loved our Juniper cabin, what a beautiful location. The cabin is well thought out, has all the amenities you need and is super cosy. Nothing can beat lighting a fire and looking out into nature. It’s well placed for the local village and walks. We couldn’t get the radiator working in the bathroom so a wee bit cold first thing! We were sad to leave however and already planning our next stay.
Great place with everything you need in a stunning location - everything you need is provided, plenty of fire wood - great place for walks and a switch off - top class
Lovely cozy New Year spent at Kindrochet Lodge, perfect for the whole family - ages 1 to 67. Thank you
