Set in the heart of Hadrian's Wall Country and Northumberland National Park – home to England’s cleanest rivers, clearest air and darkest skies, Carraw Farm offers luxury self catering accommodation in a modern and luxurious spacious property – Vesta View and in the converted barn – Shepherds Retreat.
Had our family reunion at this idyllic Vesta View and Shepherd's Retreat near Humshaugh. Location perfect surrounded by chickens, sheep, lambs and cows ...
The house was ideal and catered for my brother in a wheelchair. Beds so comfortable and the welcome hampers were so very welcome as we'd forgot the milk!
Did the sycamore gap trail - a bit late to see the tree. Went to Beamish museum, vindalanda , The Sill and the star gazing at Twice Brewed - meal in the pub, then a presentation on the universe , unfortunately didn't get to see the stars as it rained - but still worth it.
Fabulous place with fantastic views. Owners very helpful too. Suited one of our party who is mainly a wheelchair user too
This was our second time of staying too.
This is a lovely quiet place to stay, away from any disturbances.
The welcome homemade lemon drizzle cake was very welcome and a nice touch.
Beautiful scenery during the day and very dark skies at night for stargazing
