The house was ideal and catered for my brother in a wheelchair. Beds so comfortable and the welcome hampers were so very welcome as we'd forgot the milk!
Did the sycamore gap trail - a bit late to see the tree. Went to Beamish museum, vindalanda , The Sill and the star gazing at Twice Brewed - meal in the pub, then a presentation on the universe , unfortunately didn't get to see the stars as it rained - but still worth it.
Really can’t fault the place in a general way. Clean, spacious, lovely extra touches. Just off the main road which means some traffic noise but not constant. In terms of accessibility, there is space for a wheelchair and the wet room downstairs is great. As long as the person has some level of mobility this house is great. Sadly, it didn’t meet my husband’s needs by the time the holiday came - he needs a hospital bed and mobile hoist.
