Create lasting memories in the classic Victorian, Dalnaglar Castle, situated within the beautiful Dalnaglar Castle estate, on the southern fringe of the Cairngorms National Park. Relax and rewind with friends and family in this delightful 10 bedroomed castle that provides accommodation for up to 20 overnight guests.
This is my third time at the Castle, and I love it more each time. It's hard to think of a better venue if you want stunning scenery at an affordable price.
The second time of staying over Christmas and it has been been so lovely so sad to be going home tomorrow excellent in every aspect wish I could live here can’t wait to be back
This was our second stay at Dalnaglar estate previously staying in Dalnagar Cottage which says a lot as we never usually go back to the same place twice and we are planning on returning next year.
We love the amount of walks that you can do right from your front door most are dog friendly as through woodland rather than sheep land so the dogs can be off the lead. There is a beautiful small loch which our dogs loved swimming in everyday.
Braemar and Balmoral are only a short drive away travelling though stunning countyside to get there.
Love relaxing in the hot tub at the end of the day.
We stayed at Easter Caiplich with our family of four daughters - eldest 9 and youngest 3 months. It was idyllic. The cottage is cosy and well equipped. The hot tub was a huge family favourite with the added ducks and highland cows thrown in for company whilst relaxing. The weather was on our side so we had clear skies most nights. The grounds and Cateran trail walks were beautiful. We explored Pitlochry, Ballater and Braemar and loved every minute. We hope to return soon. It is a very special place.
Great location and comfortable cottage but in need of some attention. Toilets were very clean but door handle on downstairs toilet did not work as was the case for some of the bedroom lamps and down lighters. All pots and pans in the kitchen need replacing especially the frying pan and kettle.
There was also no starter logs for the wood burner as stated on website.
