We had an enjoyable short stay at this compact but comfortable cottage. The site manager was easy to contact and very obliging.
We had a fantastic time here will come again...very clean place..beautiful views from garden ..beach 10 minutes away...residents of village are so friendly really nice place..thank you for a lovely stay Glyn
Great location and views.Staff at STS always on hand and quick to respond.Nearby beaches are clean and picturesque.
Great location and a lovely welcome from the owners . Zig zag is clean , comfortable and spacious. Would 100% recommend this holiday home and will be definitely visiting again as so much to do in the local area .
Had a great week at the Fishing Lodge the cottage was spotlessly clean well equipped and comfortable. The location was good with a lovely secluded garden with lots of wildlife, pleasant walk into Caernarfon and easy access to main roads. Mick and Anne the owners were very friendly and helpful.
We had a wonderful time at Artists Cottage. My parents are not in the best of health and it suited them perfectly. We Hope to visit again very soon.
Very comfortable house with a very well equipped kitchen. I called in at STD office and suggested that a hair dryer and two more comfortable garden chairs would be a good addition. They were amazing in providing both the dryer and the chairs the same day. Would certainly recommend them and the house to anyone.
We had a lovely relaxing time in Kingfishers Rest. The view from the front was a delightful scene of the harbour..Everything was very comfortable and the kitchen area was well laid out.So easy to go to the shops etc.and to see the steam train station.Great.
Thank you to Bryn for letting us stay in his lovely cottage the location is great if you want to travel to the little villages near by or to the beach, Great dog friendly garden with no escape so you don’t need to worry about your dogs at all. Thanks again
We have always been delighted with the accommodation which is beautifully appointed in a wonderful position with all you need for an excellent holiday. The service we have received from STS has been first class.
Just returned home after very happy stay with all our family at the two flats. The properties were excellent and catered for all our needs and nothing lacking.Gwen the owner was very helpful and accomodating and we will definitely stay there again. Many thanks to all
This was a last minute break, which totally fulfilled our expectations. The Bridge is warm and comfortable, with magnificent views across the harbour at Porthmadog. We have been here before and it more than satisfies on every occasion. The owner is close by, friendly and helpful and the property comes highly recommended by us. Many, many thanks for a lovely holiday
good directions to flat. easy key lock, was so impressed as soon as we opened the door, the view from patio-door was lovely. the tide was out in the estuary but full of birds. the estuary did not take long to fill up with the sea. Flat was very nice, cosy. Plenty of room in bedroom for all clothes, shower and toilet room lots of cupboard room. Kitchen had all we needed. living area was settee where you could just sit and watch the tide ebb and flow, TV on unit to watch, a good few books to read. near shops and mountain railway , also nice walks. Loved our stay, will be going back.
My Amour Is a very comfortable well equipped in a perfect location. The large garden is secure for our dog. which has rabbits of an evening. We have enjoyed our stay and will most certainly be rebooking it again in the future. STS were very helpful and a very small problem which was sorted with in half an hour. I cant sing there praises enough . If I had to give marks for STS then it would be 10/10.... Thank you for a perfect holiday
A warm welcome and a very good place to stay. The accommodation was very well appointed and comfortable. A most enjoyable stay .
We have stayed in other apartments here but this was by far the best. Generous space, modern and clean throughout. Well equipped large kitchen, lovely balcony with views. We would highly recommend!
We spent a lovely week in this well equipped beach chalet. We sat and watched the tide going up and down with seabirds all around. A fantastic walk along the beach with the dog and the view of the mountains and the beaches on Anglesey . The chalet was spotless and lovely comfy beds.
Perfect central location for the beach and dog walking. There are good resturants in the area and the town has everything you could possibly need.
A well equipped, spacious and beautiful cottage with comfy beds and welcoming owners who live next door. Wonderful views over the countryside and plenty of walks in the immediate area. We had a thoroughly enjoyable week there.
Peaceful, yet interesting location in an apartment ideally situated. An ever changing scene through the panoramic French window of the tidal and river flows was fascinating.
This is our second visit. The location is great with the Welsh Highland Railway running passed the bottom of the garden! The flat is excellent. Well planned and furnished. Very comfortable. Hope to come again
We were delighted when we arrived at the stunning views of the harbour the apartment was very well equipped and spotless. We booked for 7 nights and have only one complaint the noise of people walking on the floor above the first Sunday to Friday We’re ok but Friday night a couple moved in and they seemed to be walking up and down and sounded as if they were moving furniture this went on until 2.30 a.m. I did approach them the next day and asked them to be less noisy the next night as we had a long journey ahead and we were leaving at 7 a.m. They were quiet about 1l p.m. So that was good,...more
A central apartment with balcony overlooking estuary and steam railway. Well-appointed and well placed in the town. We've stayed here before and hope to do so again!
Estuary View Apartment is small but is an excellent apartment in a superb location. it was wonderful to sit watching the birds, the views, the trains, and the ever-changing estuary light. the quality furnishings made it the most comfortable apartment we've stayed in. it was well equipped with good quality crockery, cutlery, pans etc, lots of books, dvds, local attraction leaflets etc to make our stay comfortable. there was wifi but it was a bit slow and slightly temperamental at times. but we were so delighted with the apartment that we have booked for next year!
Really enjoyed our stay at Riverside Cottage. Perfect location and a very comfortable and well laid out accommodation. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone else. It is lovely.
Cottage was perfect .. comfortable great location with all amenities and lovely garden.Didn’t need car as walks from door and good public transport. Second time we ve been here and would highly recommend.. we’ll be back!
Our first visit to Llyn and it exceeded all our expectations. Best holiday home we have ever stayed in.
It was hard to believe that this wonderful place was available at short notice! It should be booked up months in advance. It was spotless, stylish, comfortable and quiet. A great base for walking and swimming. The views are astounding.all in all, a wonderful break.
The cottage was well set out, well equipped and spacious. The patio was lovely to sit out on and the dogs were very content to watch the seagulls and flop in the sun. We watched boats going and out, trains go up and down and had a good chat with the boatyard lads who were very friendly. Definitely a return visit next year!
This is such a gorgeous cottage, well fitted out and in a perfect location backing onto the river in Beddgelert. This is our 3rd stay as we love it so much. Plenty of space and a wonderful tiered area at the back which we sit out every day, watching the birds and the river.
We have stayed here before and would like to do so again. The view is wonderful and forever changing. The accommodation is ideal for 2 people or 2 adults and a child. It is in a great location a short walk from town (only a few minutes although when carrying back purchases from the Purple Moose shop it seems a lot further). Porthmadog has all shops required, 2 bakers, 2 butchers, greengrocer, fishmonger, brewery shop, Tesco and other small grocery shops. It is also only a couple of minutes walk to the heritage railway station with options for scenic steam train rides. What is not to love - se...more
We enjoyed a week with our family in this spacious, comfortable and clean farmhouse. The Caretakers were exceptionally helpful when we had a query about recycling and helping with a faulty door latch. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and the beaches are stunning. Thank you to all concerned for our enjoyable stay.
Convenient location, house had everything you needed for a weeks stay. Parking tricky for bigger cars.
The apartment had everything that we needed for our visit, the kitchen is well-equipped and there are throws and cushions for added comfort. The bed was comfortable. The fridge/freezer had plenty of storage space. The decking area has a nice range of chairs and a table for the perfect relaxing spot after walks/cycle rides. The Wifi worked really well. The location was brilliant, beautiful views from the decking area and a really quiet spot. We enjoyed our stay.
We found the bungalow a great little place in which to set off to explore Wales. Very good communication from the owner Liz and a lovely location being near to Harlech but away from any main roads. Great view of the sea and some lovely sunsets from the patio area. It’s compact and has everything you need. The garden is nice and simple but I think it could do with a little fence blocking off the driveway and access to the front so if you have a pet they don’t escape .
Chalet had everything we needed for are stay. Cleaners need to be a bit more particular when cleaning move furniture to clean floors. All in all a very nice stay.
We enjoyed our stay in this cottage. Good facilities. The owner provided bed-lines for us. That was convenient .
The apartment is exceptionally clean and easy to maintain. Would probably suit a couple with two children rather than four adults. Ideal for a single person. There is no washing machine so bring plenty clothes. The Mira shower in the bathroom is great. The weather was cold for the time of year but the heating was on and the rooms soon warmed up. The view overlooking the harbour is very picturesque and it is interesting to watch the boats going in and out. STS were most efficient with admin and all in all its a little gem of an apartment. I would stay there again.
This is our second stay in this apartment .it has everything you could possibly need to make your holiday excellent position for all local attractions we used the local buses and trains which are all close by ,the view over the harbour from this apartment is probably the best on the wharf we would highly recommend this apartment you will not be dissappointed
Port View Bach is lovingly cared for, and it shows. However, being of a "certain age" we found the bed too low to be able to lift ourselves up comfortably of a morning. Likewise the modern sofa did not provide good back support. Nonetheless, the apartment is in a fantastic location and its condition is a credit to the owner. My only real gripe is with STS Holidays. They provide a top-class booking service but fail to mention in the booking terms and conditions that there is a £100 security deposit required before they will release the key. The only mention of this comes when you have paid the ...more
A brilliant four night stay. Perfect location near the quay, high street, park, pubs. We will return.
Is it time dog owners should make their views known? I hate to leave a negative review because I know how hard owners work to promote their properties but just what is “dog friendly”. The Gorselands is a lovely property in a good location but although advertised as dog friendly dogs are only allowed on the ground floor and certainly not on the beds or furniture “because dog hairs get everywhere“ The Gorselands is a 3 story house and the ground floor is a kitchen with adjoining bedroom so the dogs had to stay in the kitchen to obey the rules. During our stay some days were torrential rain whic...more
It would be nice to have a couple of mats in the living room and passage a soap dish in the shower and some hooks in the small bedroom apart from that every thing was excellent
Great location and everything you need for a holiday. Only problem was the shower even with window open as suggested shower tripped the electric.
A wonderful cottage in a stunning location with views to die for with walking and cycling straight from the door. Brilliant access to all of Snowdonia National Park and beyond. The owners cannot do enough for you. This is the third time that we have been to this cottage and it will not be the last!
The flat is well situated & very comfortable, it has wonderful views across the estuary to Harlech. We were lucky enough to have several sightings of an osprey, which made our stay very memorable.
A great accommodation in a good central location in Snowdonia. Very clean and well maintained house with a large space for 2 people. The hosts made us very welcome even offering home made pizza one night. The only issue we have was the restricted head room on the first floor, due to planning issues. These restrictions made the shower attachment unusable. Even getting in and out of the bath could pose a problem for tall guests. Not withstanding these restrictions the accommodation is superb.
Lovely cosy, clean, comfortable and very well equipped cottage. A nice short walk to the beautiful harbour of Borth y gest. Only niggle would be that the small outside area at the back not being fenced is quite inconvenient when you have a dog so for that reason I wouldn’t really class it as dog friendly.
Very comfortable and well equipped property in a great location. Lovely friendly neighbours and villagers. Lots of great walks of varying lengths straight from the front door.
We had a good time at the cottage, very convenient place in village , 200 metres walk. It was inconvenient having to bring towels with us from New Zealand and think this needs addressing as UK has no restrictions now and we didnt do this elsewhere . There is an outside area to sit at the front, but not really at the back of the cottage. This would have been nice. I cannot thank Lee at STS enough for his help and would recommend using STS. Very prompt service , answered any questions immediately. We had a lovely week there . A nice little cottage in beautiful Beddgelert.
This was our 2nd visit to this flat and again we was not disappointed. Just across the the steam train, and close to the buses. The view was very good, the beds comfortable. Just a short walk into Porthmadoc. We will be back again later this year all being well.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Treetops and have already booked to go again. We loved having the big picture window, the balcony and being able to watch the Garretts go by. The flat was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. As a coffee lover, I particularly appreciated having a filter coffee machine! The proximity to Harbour Station was great for us, as it enabled us to go there regularly to watch the trains come and go. Gwen and everyone at STS were very kind and helpful in enabling us to have our first trip away from home since 2019, despite the fact that, on medical advice, we still...more
Absolutely beautiful location, the views are stunning. Perfect base for exploring the area, or alternatively just sitting on the balcony and watching the ever changing picture unfold in front of your eyes
This is the second time we have stayed in this bungalow, it is situated in a very good location, ten minutes walk to the lovely beach, you can also go to the beach with your car. The bungalow is well equipped with all the things you need for a self catering holiday a few things are getting a little bit tired and need replacing in the not too distant future with no detriment to our holiday, would definitely book again.
peaceful setting, lovely garden to relax in.swimming pool a great hit with my grandchildren.spacious.
A little cluttered with equipment but overall a nice little flat right on the harbour side. Just right for two people
We have visited Porthmadog before, and this time chose this harbourside ground floor apartment. Whilst compact in size, it contained everything we needed for a great stay. A parking space outside the front door, and brilliant views across the harbour from the back patio doors. The flat is part of a unit of six, with external stair access to the other flats above.
An enjoyable stay in a lovely location, STS staff helpful as ever. Flat needs a little attention to detail - patio door curtains need repair or replacement, new under-sink bin needed. Also, it would be nice to have a working clock and a working outside light. In this day and age WiFi should be provided. Nevertheless, we have booked again for September!
We enjoyed our holiday lovely views of the harbour however the oven was overly complicated we could not work it out and the TV is well passed its sell by date very poor picture and the headphone socket did not work and these days no DVD player
Superb views from the front of the house across the town and harbour, to the mountains and valleys beyond. A great place to enjoy the sunshine, as you watch the world go by with the famous narrow gauge trains coming and going in the distance.
We were very pleased with our stay, as there was so much to see from the apartment without having to go too far. The weather could have been kinder, but it did not matter. We would go again, as it was one of the nicest places we have stayed. The bed was comfortable, as were the chairs and settee. So much room, also the balcony was great. On
Excellent apartment in fabulous condition with high specification furniture and appliances. Homely touch - with books and artwork. Upstairs living area with truly amazing views across the sea to the hills, from both the windows and external balcony. We could watch both of the wildlife as the tides changed and the little trains as they came across the "Cob" No need to travel away from the wharf estate at all. Restaurants and cafes all within walking distance. A thoroughly relaxing holiday location.
We had a lovely weeks stay thank you . Just a few notes , a small non stick saucepan would be useful please. There was plenty of crockery/mugs and cutlery. The king size bed was very comfortable but could be much improved with quality bedding . We had fabulous weather but we were unable to sit outside at the back to relax or eat due to the extremely uncomfortable outdoor furniture. We ended up buying a pair of fold up chairs !! The cottage location is perfect and we've stayed in Porthmadog many times at various properties . The local Welsh hill and coastal walks are the best !!
Excellent location. Cottage had everything we needed to make our stay a home from home experience. The walk into caernarfon was a 10 min walk when the footbridge was open for pedestrians, it was closed on a few occasions due to maintenance work. Would love to go back but it's looking a bit too expensive for next year.
A comfortable cottage in superb location for visiting beaches and mountains. Good swimming in harbour beach. Would certainly recommend.
We have recently visited Top Sail for a week away. Upon arrival our first impressions where the cleaning could be improved. There where handprints all over the main window looking out to the beach. The carpets and sofa are quite worn and the skirting boards and all the doors are marked. There where cobwebs and contact lens left in the bedrooms. The worst discovery was the bath mat which was covered with hairs and dirt and needs throwing away. There was no toilet roll provided! The welcome pack was lovely. The location and views where fantastic. The children absolutely loved the little play ro...more
The apartment was clean, modern, and well equipped for creature comforts; however, during our 5 nights stay, the bedroom had a mouldy smell, especially during the nighttime which had prevented us from sleeping in the bedroom, instead we have had to sleep on the sofa for the entire stay. There is the multicoloured growths on the external wall facing the bedroom which can be seen through the double UPvc doors.
the property is very well equipped if you are cooking all of your meals, bedrooms are a good size and both have double beds, nice views off the balcony and you get full sun on an evening very close to the high street and some good eating outlets, would like to think we will revisit later on in the new year,,the only little thing is the cupboard in the shower room is quite large and makes it awkward having a wash and cleaning your teeth but thats all thank you for the stat.
The cottage is in an excellent location for exploring this part of Wales. Beautiful scenery and beaches.
Great location, great view, the house on 4 floors took its toll on the knees! Well equipped kitchen.
We have been to South Snowdon Wharf many times and we were very lucky with the weather. This flat has just about enough space for 4 adults. Sofas and beds are comfortable but bar stools around the breakfast bar were uncomfortable and it was difficult to eat together. Patio furniture was in a poor state but was replaced by the owner during the week. Anchor Watch compares favourably with most other flats we have used over the years. Location is fantastic.
Enjoyed this particular holiday let for over eleven years, approximately twenty weeks of stays in this period. Difficult to find any negatives! Noticed neighbours understandably getting touchy regarding the parking, several now dictating there parking frontage with cones to deter. Also previously approached to move car when outside a neighbours frontage. Unfortunately the downside of living in a popular tourist destination.
Very comfortable house to stay in, well equipped. Great to have the garden and access into the woods behind.
Perfect place, just what i thought it would be. In my view the only problem was presentation! It could do with a coat of satin brilliant white in the lounge dining area, and the windows and sills with a coat of bright varnish to brighten the room up! Oh and a new couch. Other than that my stay was perfect. Thank you, regards Keith, Southport.
Bobbing Boats is in an excellent location (we have know it since it was a café many years ago), with wonderful views. It was nice to have four bedrooms and the beds were very comfortable. The whole place, however, seemed rather bare and impersonal - no homely touches, no welcome, no visitors' book, some of the furniture was very outdated and the microwave needs replacing. We think there should also be a warning that the stairs are very steep. This all sounds very downbeat, but we had a very enjoyable week with excellent weather, and the service from STS Holidays was excellent as always.
We were disappointed and annoyed to on our arrival no toilet paper, washing up liquid or dish cloth was provided. On contacting the owner we were told that this was due to covid regulations and we should have been informed by you. No mention of this said when I inquired about the key and asked about the provision of towels etc.. Over the past 2 years we have stayed in at least 6 self catering cottages and never experienced this problem, towel have also being provided .In all the previous properties all brochures an local information had been removed because of covid but not in this case..
Was comfortable It’s a shame the back door faces the back of the shops and their bins . Staff were very noise throwing rubbish into them and the smell was not very please … not nice to sit outside on a hot day.
The apartment was in a nice area needed a few things attending too, was comfortable, warm perhaps someone to check some points before a let which would iron out a few issues
The house has good accommodation for a family or a group of friends with 5 bedrooms and plenty of space in the lounge and kitchen / dining area. The location is good for visiting the beach, Snowdon National Park, Portmeirion and many other local attractions. The town is a five minute walk down the hill and a bit longer walking back up! There is an LIDL and an ALDI at the bottom of the road and a TESCO just around the corner as well as many local shops all withing walking distance. We stayed as a family and it worked very well for us.
We enjoyed our stay ,but had to contact Sts ,to bring re cycling boxes ,also there was no broom for kitchen floor no mop and bucket to wash kitchen floor . Seating at front spoilt by half dead plants and weeds , Wrong instuctions were given for the oven ,
After looking forward to our stay in beddgelert once again and paying a lot of money for our cottage,we were very disappointed in its condution, whilst being clean,it needs a lot of tlc. An extractor fan is needed in the bathroom, new patio doors and brighter lighting would be good. We also found an infestation of carpet moths in the bedroom. On a lighter note,we loved the picture window with its lovely view.
Charming quirky cottage . Comfortable base for exploring the area. Walking distance to amenities in the village . Lovely garden and setting . Visitors book would have been nice to see what other guests do/ recommend etc. Loved the art work on the walls .
This flat is in a perfect position. The views over the Harlech are stunning and the convenience of being so near the town of Porthmadog it’s great. It is let down by a number of small things which could be easily improved. The furnishings are tired although acceptable. Likewise, the kitchen equipment. Some of the mugs were so stained that I just threw them away and replaced them, hidden areas needed a deeper clean for instance the dehumidifier needed to be emptied and the filter needed to be hoovered. The cutlery drawer under the container for the cutlery was grubby. The window in the small...more
Upon entering the cottage it was very cold and smelt damp. We read the cottages info book & was horrified to find we only had a £40 electricity allowance, which given current ricing is nothing. We decided to be frugal and only turned each water heater on for a short while before using, and the lounge radiator briefly in a morning, yet by late on day 4 we had less than £20 less. Thereafter we used the lounge and kitchen radiators more frequently and had 80p left on the meter when we left. We like our bedroom to be cool so we didn't put the radiator on in there, but we hadn't realised how damp i...more
The accommodation was clean and in a great location but not very comfortable. The shower room was very small and downstairs through the kitchen and not upstairs where the bedrooms are. There were bugs and spiders as well. The worst experience was the kitchen got flooded when there was heavy rains during our stay. Came back home to a nasty surprise and although the neighbours(owners friend) tried to clean it up as much as possible, we were left with wet floor in the kitchen and wet carpet in the lounge for the rest of our stay.
The cottage was very cluttered. It is small anyway but the space felt more cramped as there was far too much furniture in there, e.g. a stool behind the bathroom door which meant you couldn't open it properly; another unnecessary stool in the kitchen blocking the freezer, and too many chairs in the sitting room (seating for 7 including 2 dining room chairs). The cottage also didn't seem very clean and some surfaces felt a bit sticky to the touch. The essential places - cooker, bathroom sink and bath, kitchen sink - were clean so that was good. The cupboards were really disorganised and overflo...more
