Lovely spacious well equipped property in a great location in Barmouth. Had a lovely holiday here and will definitely return.
This is the second time my family adi have stayed here. It is an absolute gem of a place. It is comfortable and cosy and has everything you can think of. Including amazing views in the front and beautiful countryside in the back. It is in an amazing spot to use as a base everything is reached quickly. Thank you to the owner as it allows my growing family to have some amazing family time! Loved it.
Just back from a truly wonderful week at Swallow's Nest. The house was very comfortable, spacious and clean with everything you could need, and the location was absolutely out of this world. We went with plans to visit various places around Snowdonia, but in the event, only left the valley once, for an evening meal at the nearest pub, because there was so much to do and see right on the doorstep and it was just so beautiful and peaceful. Daffyd the farmer was able to offer really good advice about walks in the area and we climbed mountains, swam in waterfall fed pools, explored ruins, went in...more
We had a lovely holiday in this excellent bungalow. It was very comfortable, had everything we needed. It was ideally located for coastal walks, walks to the beach. The self contained garden was ideal for the dogs. we would definitely recommend this holiday bungalow and hope to return again ourselves
The fact that this was our 33rd stay says it all! The wonderful view is ever changing yet always the same.
A beautiful cottage with everything you need for a break away from everything. Clean and comfortable kitchen and living room and a big garden where my dog was in his element! Only 2 single beds in one room to sleep in though - was a bit of a squeeze for an adult! Nonetheless, a lovely place and a warm welcome.
The apartment was fantastic! It was clean, comfortable, value for money, and in the perfect location in Barmouth. The keyless entry worked really well & our dog loved walking on the beach every day. We spent many hours just watching the day go by in the bay window. I would highly recommend!
Beautifully clean, well equipped kitchen, pool table lots of games and puzzles should the weather be unkind. Jane was brilliant very helpful and easy to talk to and helpful in lots of ways.
We were a family of 9 spending a very pleasant week in the old farmhouse. Everything we needed was provided and the house felt comfortable and relaxing. The railway station was on our doorstep when we wanted a break from driving and there were lovely walks in the area.
This was our family's 3rd visit to Treetops, so that should tell you they enjoy staying there- and we always visited them. This year 3 octagenarians (parents and uncle of the above) stayed in the Garden flat - suprised how much bigger it is! For us it is like coming home as we owned a property in Borth-y- Gest for 20yrs. We have found this property far superior than any other we have stayed in, in Portmadog which we continue to visit regularly.
This was a wonderful cottage with a wonderful owner who was generosity itself when our car broke down and could not be repaired in Wales. One thing I would mention is that STS details on the location are out of date- please check them out.
We had a comfortable stay. The bungalow has a beautiful view and is generally very clean and comfortable. We had very rainy, windy weather for most of our stay so couldn't use the garden areas. The surrounding area is very beautiful to explore. The welcome basket was appreciated.
This place was ideal for us, modern and spacious . It was very well equipped. Location is perfect for North Wales exploration. Walking distance to caernarfon. I would love to stay here again.
Our stay at Tan Llan Cottage was just perfect! It was cosy, comfortable, and clean, and had everything we needed. The cottage is also in a great location for exploring other parts of North Wales with many attractions being within 30 minutes or less of the property. The cottage has also undergone a recent refurbishment which has been completed to a high standard. We would highly recommend staying here.
This is a very cosy mid-terrace property in Tanygrisiau. We stayed as a family with two teenage sons and they loved it. It is in an ideal location for strolling in to Blaenau Ffestiniog and riding the railway and Zip World. It's a short drive to Porthmadog and Port Merrion or you can take the steam train from the village station into Porthmadog and on to Caernarfon. The cottage sits in the shadow of the Moelwyn Hills and there is some fantastic trails and treks into the hills from the village. The walk up to the top of the Stwlan Dam, which forms part of the Ffestiniog Hydro Electric power sta...more
Had a lovely week here.It is a perfectly situated accomodation for us and ideal for shops and the steam centre.Although in places it is a little tired and needs refreshing we still enjoyed ourselves particularly chatting to the staff.
2nd time we have been to this property and it was ideal for us plus our dog. Very well situated with easy access to the town, harbour, little railway and bus services. Will hopefully be visiting again soon
Had a relaxing break in this wonderfully restored modern cottage. Everything had been well thought of. Had no issues at all. Would love to come back.
Excellent stay in Snowdonia. Good customer service, cottage was lovely, only regret, not long enough . Thanks
Third time here at this lovely homely comfortable spacious accommodation…bright & airy down to the patio doors .. with fantastic views …lovely having the outdoor patio looking over the harbour & around towards the town & mountains …( perfect on a bad weather day just to sit & look out ) … everything you need in this accommodation.
The cottage was roomy and very comfortable. The location was stunning, with a large garden and wonderful views.
Location of the property is fabulous with great views over the bay out of all of the windows. Plenty of room as it was just 3 of us. Comfy beds and fully equipped kitchen if you want to eat in.
Excellent position and good car parking. Very comfortable and well equipped with an excellent welcome pack. A small, but ideal flat for two people.
Great stay a little confusion about towels thought would be provided, information needed in apartment where to empty bins and heating controls but a excellent apartment
Stayed a week with my sister visiting from Australia and mum who is 92. The beach house is everything you could ask for if looking for a quiet location with beautiful none interrupted views out to the sea. The sunset's across the sea were stunning. The house is spacious comfortably and warm. Electricity runs off a meter which we only put £3 in for the week. The beach has large boulders but there is a small sandy bit to the right when the tide is out. We all had a wonderful relaxing holiday. If you are looking for a place to unwind an relax this is the place to stay.
Wij kozen deze woning vanwege de ligging g bij de Festinog Railway. Alles was geweldig, het uitzicht en dichtbij het station en de winkels. Wij komen graag weer terug. Zijn treinliefhebber.
A very good sized 2 bed appartment with a good sized bathroom with a shower over hhe bath in the main bedroom. We had visited a couplle of times previously because The apartment is spacious, very comfotable with splendid views over the harbour & moutains beyond It was our third visit, unfortunately we we may not be able to stay again due to age & it is up a slight hill ! flight of stairs. bit we still hope to get ! more visit.
This two-storey apartment is huge! Clean and very well equipped, perfect for 4-6 friends or family! Beautiful location with enclosed balconies on both floors (off the living room downstairs, and the master bedroom upstairs) which give a superb view of the harbour, without the inevitable wind/rain! Porthmadog has several nice pubs/restaurants within walking distance, and Aldi/Lidl/Tesco about 5 mins drive away. Surprisingly central for the north coast (Caernarfon, Llandudno, Anglesey), and of course the main attraction, Snowdonia. Ffestiniog steam railway is literally on your doorstep, with sev...more
This flat was ideal for our long weekend stay. The facilties are good and the view is great! It's well located to find nice restaurants nearby (we enjoyed Y Sgwâr in Tremadog), and sits within good distance to reach Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon).
We had a great stay here, the views are amazing and the location is great with easy access to the forest.
Very comfortable apartment with a very well equipped kitchen - had everything you needed. Lovely view of the harbour and the steam train is right next door so you can hear the steam and the tooting - absolutely wonderful! We return to this site many times. Porthmadog has everything, the mountains, the sea, castles and Portmeirion is on your doorstep - well worth a visit.
A wonderful stay. Great location close to 3 pubs, a bistro serving amazing food, village shop and ice cream parlour. Beddgelert is truly a beautiful village with a river and surrounded by stunning mountain scenery. Snowdon walks are only 15 minutes drive. The cottage is lovely. Very well equipped, great shower and bath and comfy beds. I would highly recommend. We will definitely return!
We've stayed in this apartment a number of times, well equipped and a perfect location. Just right for us.
Really nice cottage on a great location. Loads of walks in the doorstep including Snowdon. Lovely to sit outside and enjoy the river. Has everything you could need for a week's stay.
Fantastic views overlooking the harbour. Great beach a short walk away. Great for my family to relax and unwind.
Situated in an isolated wooded setting with a long winding access track through forest this is the perfect quite retreat for those who love nature.
Spent 3 nights with our grandaughter ..the cottage had everything we needed..close to lots of attractions enclosed garden for the dog..local co op..welcomed by the owner Jane and very friendly..we would definitely go back ..in a lovely location would highly recommend.
The cottage couldn't have been better placed. A perfect view of the river from the rear windows and the patio. Some wonderful walks from the village. All the local amenties (and the stream train station) meant that we left the car parked for the majority of our stay. A fabulous spot and a cosy, well appointed, cottage.
This was the second time we have stayed in Porthmadog at the same appointment. We find it a great location. Apartment has everything you need. A lovely few days away.
We really enjoyed our stay at Porthmadog. The apartment was excellent, located in a private cul-de-sac so we didn’t notice any cars or people coming and going other than the few people staying on the site. The apartment had great facilities which we weren’t aware of - for example the sofa is also a pull out bed, the kitchen was very well stocked with every utensil you would need (we brought scissors and a sharp knife with us as you don’t always get these in rentals but there was a big selection of tools). Nice touches were: Welsh cakes on arrival, dish cloths and soap in kitchen, heated towel ...more
Property was well located. Bathroom clean and modern. Kitchen clean and modern, more crockery would have been useful (only four plates bowls etc). Frying pans dirty - need replacing. Double bedroom clean and spacious. Two single bedrooms very small. Lounge spacious but display cabinet and bookcase empty (apart from a thick layer of dust). Numerous holes in the ceilings and walls where hooks/screws/nails had been removed and holes not filled in. A few more pictures on the walls, some books on the bookshelves and some ornaments in the display cabinet would have made it more appealing.
A beautiful property in a beautiful location! Just remember to bring your own towels and tea towels etc. I will definitely return here with my family.
Was very happy with my stay. The flat was clean, tidy and was nice a cosy. Would recommend staying if people are looking. There was only one downside and that was the shower pressure, but other than that it was lovely. Thank you very much for having us.
Lovely accommodation with absolutely amazing views ! Nice private garden and decking to sit & enjoy the view! We had a lovely time in the very comfortable accommodation. The views & sunsets were breathtaking! Good communication from the company and the owner! Very satisfied and would love to go back! Thank you!
The inside of the property is very good throughout. The location if you want to be in Porthmadog is great. We liked the fact we were by the harbour so not noisy and pleasant. Literally, 1-minute walk to the steam railway station very handy, as well as access to the cafes and shops. Wifi worked absolutely fine which is great as phone reception was not. ONnly issue was finding empty coke bottles under my bed and the coffee machine wasn't clean with remains of last drink in. This is minor, as rest of the place was clean on arrival. Could probably do with a better way of getting water out of t...more
Fabulous location. Great to be able to view trains as they cross the cob. Flat well equipped and warm and comfortable. Had a good holiday.
Thanks for a great stay. Great location and lovely property. Few bits to make you aware of: The front room had been cleaned but not under the table or sofa, which we did. The property has Netflix but you need an account. Might be worth referencing that in the detail. The person I spoke to when I booked was excellent. First class. I had a call when shopping with kids late Friday re the recycling. I appreciate the person I spoke to didn’t want to talk to me at 6pm before the weekend but getting hung up on was not ideal to finish our holiday experience… Wish you all the best...more
We really enjoyed our stay in Beddgelert. The cottage was perfectly located for walking in the Snowdon range and well equipped for hiding from the worst of Snowdonia’s weather.
A great base for a holiday. Plenty of local amenities and lots of really nice places to visit that are not to far away.
My mum & I had a wonderful stay for her birthday. The house is gorgeous, full of character and a home away from home. A real bonus that it is also dog friendly! The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay, and very conveniently located for Zip World, which we went to. Another delightful bonus was the steam train that runs along the back of the house! If there's one thing to nit pick, it's that there was no hair dryer, which would have been useful. Everything from booking to letting ourselves into the house was seamless - we'd definitely come back!
Great location right on the harbour side with lovely views across the harbour and out to Borth-y-Gest. Excellent balcony on both sides of the flat. Large comfortable lounge dinner at the top level again with great views. Comfortable bedrooms however the door in the master bedroom for some strange reason is like the door of a nineteen seventies wardrobe and doesnt shut properly. The bed was comfortable. Lovely walks and beaches nearby and good food and beer at Spooners and also The Square at Tremadog. Overall it's excellent accomadation in a beautiful part of Wales cant go wrong if you...more
Location wise, you can’t beat this cottage. The views are AMAZING. As are the garden facilities. The owner was also incredibly helpful with tips for walks and days out. We did find the kitchen needed better cleaning and the cottage seems to struggle with damp so getting things dry is challenging, there is however a tumble drier provided.
Nice flat in an excellent location with great views over the estuary and the railway. On arrival we had no running hot water (except the shower). Due to bank holiday it was 3 days before the hot water was fixed and as it was economy 7 we had to wait to the following day before we had any hot water. Disappointed that we had to keep chasing to get it fixed. An information pack about the accommodation would have been helpful. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
A lovely cottage with a stunning view to the rear. Set in a delightful village in the Heart of the Snowdonia National Park. A village store provides all basic provisions, village pubs with excellent real ale and varied menus and not forgetting the famous ice cream parlour. A excellent base from which the explore the area.
This was our second trip to The Quarterdeck. The property is beautifully placed to enjoy the most wonderful view and is well looked after and was spotlessly cleaned. There was a small problem which was quickly resolved. Thank you.
This apartment is perfect holiday accommodation. It has everything you need, the view from the balcony is exactly like the picture (so often they are not), location is great for access to the coast path, the scenic railway, the harbour and shops. Being situated on a small peninsula it's away from the rest of the town so is quieter, all you can hear at night is seabirds and the clinking of ropes on masts. Sure you can hear the neighbours if they are on their balconies, but it's an apartment complex. If you want perfect isolation go to a remote cottage! The complex could do with a lick of pa...more
The appartment was lovely we just found it hard to work the heaters and the hot water in the bathroom. The location was fantastic.
Charming chalet on the beach. A good size for 4 people. A bit draughty, but we never had the heaters on in late May. Good phone signal (with Vodafone) so lack of WiFi isn't a problem. Very well equipped kitchen. All the things that are often missing that we brought along weren't needed. Despite all the reviews mentioning dogs it didn't smell of dogs. Amazing view.
Fab cottage, although a little dated, but well equipped and the garden is spectacular. We will happily go back. Fantastic location for many thinks and the train line is a must to visit the villages it services.
The accomodation was reaaly nice, clean and tidy. Location is excellent, but a bit awkward to find. The organisors were really friendly and helpfull. Thanx for a wonderfull stay.
It was our second stay and we love the compact apartment with allocated parking and a glorious view to wake up to. The cleaning was a bit below par this year but Snowdonia Tourist Services were once again brilliant at sorting out the few little problems. We were pleased that the TV had been upgraded to a smart TV. Would just like the duvet to be upgraded now! We love that the High Street shops, cafes, restaurants, the Ffestiniog and Heritage railways and beautiful Borth y Gest beaches are all within walking distance.
We wanted a base within the Snowdonia National Park that offered access to North Wales and easy access to the vicinity. What an amazing find! A beautiful cottage, finished to a wonderful standard with excellent facilities. The games room was a huge hit with my teenagers; pool table and darts being daily activities with a tournament score kept during our stay! Very comfortable, really modern and well equipped. Love the images of the refurbishment in the downstairs wc. Only slight downside is the busy road which gets a little noisy when you want to open the windows but really a minor point...more
This flat is tiny, but well laid out and mostly well equipped. However, the lack of hair dryer and faulty oven meant we ended up buying a travel hair dryer and an oven thermometer so we could safely cook our food. Also the place had a smell of damp, especially after rain, more so than the larger, ground floor flats in the same development we have stayed in over many years.
At short notice we decided to have a mini holiday in North Wales. Harbour Station View came up on a search and turned out to be the ideal base for our family of four. Located on Porrhmadoc harbourside the views from the flat were fantastic. The flat itself was spacious, clean and comfortable. Be aware though that any families with a member with mobility issues may struggle with the steep steps leading up to the door.. There are two pubs and a restaurant by the harbour and supermarkets and a wide range of shops on the Main Street a short walk away. We went on the Ffestiniog steam ra...more
Our third visit to Sea View. Previously found the property to be well presented and very clean. However on this visit found overall cleaning standards have fallen considerably. Lounge carpet covered in dog hair. If it had been hoovered not done very well. One of double bedrooms carpet covered in bits and debris had to hoover it ourselves. Used deodorant under one of beds. Bed linen not ironed and bottom sheets on inside out, some old stains also visible. Downstairs shower room a disgrace. Needs a thorough deep clean. Tiles dirty and mouldy. Lots of sand on floor. Dust and cobwebs found. U...more
Very well furnished apartment tastefully decorated. The panoramic view that literally blew our mind as if an artist painted all that outstanding beauty.Could sit and stare at it for hours no end. The only thing that needs to be improved is the patio area.It has got potential to look much better. Would certainly come back to this lovely haven of charm and quiet
The cottage felt very homely - we loved it. It had everything you could need and more. Very thoughtful of the owners. The beds were very comfortable.
This property is located close to the Ffestiniog railway station and harbour. It is a comfortable flat but quite small, you will need to do a nifty shuffle around the bed and the shower cubical is small. That having been said I would go again for a short break when you are likely to be out and about a lot. The view from the patio doors across the bay is great but it opens onto the pathway which means people will walk past. We were there out of the mains season so people walking past was very limited
Loved the property, had great character and plenty of room for 13 of us. I would recommend that the owners look at providing fans in the height of the season due to the rooms being very hot, and although a hoover is in the property to keep tidy a mop and bucket would be useful too. (Maybe there was one but we couldn't locate it) The pool was fantastic a good size that could accommodate a large family, much fun was had here. A wonderful holiday with lots of laughter. The property was just ideal and at a reasonable price. I would look at returning in the future with my family.
This cottage is in an amazing location and ideal for enjoying walks around the forest. The drive up to the cottage was a bit harder than expected - taking us about 25 minutes in no more than 2nd gear! (in a Honda Jazz). The cottage was warm, Wifi worked, cooking facilities ok, good shower, and bed comfortable. The downsides were: 1. It could have been cleaner - used towel on back of bedroom door, undies left in bedside drawer and small stain on sheet. Cobwebs round windows. Bath mat looked dirty. 2. Left front ring on gas hob will not stay lit 3. DVD player not working 4. Fridge/free...more
When we booked this property it was under the assumption that the bathroom would have been upgraded and WiFi installed. Unfortunately neither of these things were in place. There were some cleanliness issues in the kitchen and the twin bedroom had a musty smell. The location was good and views fantastic. We would definitely return if the bathroom and WiFi issues have been completed even if the price was increased.
The cottage is a great place to stay. It's in a great location near some amazing walks and an ice cream parlour. It's comfy and surprisingly spacious. I'd read a few reviews about it smelling and feeling damp. But we didn't get that at all and it rained quite a bit. It's got everything you need (including netflix!) and the garden is huge! The kids and dog loved it. We were very sad to leave and we're already planning on going back next year.
Well appointed cottage with everything you need. Full size fridge freezer and dishwasher. Washer should you need it. Nice to have Sky and decent broadband as little mobile signal (O2). Two toilets. On site parking for one car. Living room faces an open communal grassed area with football goal kids would enjoy, though slightly overlooked from neighbour's patio. One minute walk from glorious view from the harbour. Excellent beach another ten minute walk. Portmadog a short drive away for the supermarket. I enjoyed my stay.
Would have been really great to be able use the fire place as we found the downstairs quite cold. The water was also turned off when we arrived and we couldn't find it in the instructions. We did look around and luckily found the outdoor tap to turn it on. If we could have used the fire place or the house would have been warmer our whole stay would have been much more cosier and nicer.
The Estuary Flat was well equipped and comfortable with wonderful views,we would have liked curtains in the lounge as very dark as one of our party was nervous of the dark and shower screen seemed too short as water went onto the floor when used.
Nice property and location but really poor standard of furniture and fittings throughout, lots of maintenance issues not addressed (raised by others) and hard floors simply not properly cleaned. The property did not come close to justify the weekly rental charge.
