A beautiful cottage with everything you need for a break away from everything. Clean and comfortable kitchen and living room and a big garden where my dog was in his element! Only 2 single beds in one room to sleep in though - was a bit of a squeeze for an adult! Nonetheless, a lovely place and a warm welcome.
This place was ideal for us, modern and spacious . It was very well equipped. Location is perfect for North Wales exploration. Walking distance to caernarfon. I would love to stay here again.
An amazing location, perfect both for the railways and the shops. It was warm, comfortable and had just the right amount of space. It's up some metal stairs but that wasn't a problem for us and the two stair gates meant we could safely stay there with our toddler. The only thing I could criticise was that the bathroom was a little tired looking and had some dusty products in the cupboards and there wasn't anywhere convenient to dry clothes, but really, who cares? It was a brilliant option for us and we would absolutely recommend it to others. Thanks Gwen for everything.
First impressions:Entrance is at the rear of the property, where the dustbins are and that area could do with a good clean up. Not welcoming. However the apartment, once in, was very clean throughout (a definite plus) though dated but cared for furniture. It was evident the owners look after their property. Excellent view from the floor to ceiling windows. This window showed the position of the apartment in relation to the amenities of Porthmadog. These windows opened easily. (See below). Spotlessly clean and with everything needed for a holiday stay. The views from the balcony are beautiful, with the boating community playing about in their boats, almost as if for our entertainment. Being railway enthusiasts, the Ffestiniog Railway just a couple of minutes walk away was a real plus. The RAF were seen flying low over the hills on a number of days much to my grandsons enjoyment. We have visited Porthmadog many times over the last 40 years and this years stay was as good as it gets.
