Lower Hillcott is a special place waiting to be discovered. Superb outside space combined with a wonderfully light and airy interior and just a 5 minute walk to the beach. This lovely home has everything you need for the perfect family holiday.

Newly refurbished, it really is a beautiful, comfortable, family holiday home and is ideal for two families or groups of friends wanting to experience Cornwall’s rugged coast, stunning beaches and to escape from it all. The facilities are there with the intention of pure enjoyment and it provides a lovely opportunity to relax, sit back and make the most of all the best Cornwall has to offer.

Great location and also lovely that there is a games room and table tennis table. Also wetsuits and surf boards.

We booked Lower Hilcott to share with family and friends for our small wedding.
The space was absolutely perfect for our group and occasional.
The kitchen is well equipped and there is everything required to keep everyone amused in the games room or at the beach.
Stunning views and easy walking distance for the SW coast path, beach, cafe and pub.
Caretaker Matt was brilliant and couldn’t have been more helpful, we plan to return!

Our extended family of 6 adults and 4 older children had a lovely week's stay at the Lower Hillcott, which is just a few minutes' walk to a nice, fairly quiet cove beach. The house itself it a lovely, clean house, well-designed and different to the norm, and of course makes the most of its magnificent views.
It has a nice variety of activities to keep you entertained (eg table tennis, air hockey and table football), and there are also wetsuits and surf or body boards to borrow too which is a nice bonus. One downside is that there was no television as standard - I understand it is a holiday and the point is not to watch telly all day - but we thought there are basic things like keeping up with the news, essential soaps, video games etc, which especially when the weather is bad makes it pretty important.
The other point some of our party wanted to note was that there were quite a lot of cobwebs.
However, there are far more positives than negatives about this house - not least the caretaker Matt, who was the most super friendly, super-helpful and super-quick of any that we have called upon before (and we have done many staycations!).

We loved staying here. This is our 5th year I think at this property. It suits our large family well and the location and all amenity's are amazing. The games room, wetsuits and all the beach equipment are perfect for the children.

This year there are a few things that we noticed needing attention. The stairs have carpet grippers coming through. the wooden stairs outside are broken and a few of the beds need new mattresses. But this didn't by any means stop the wonderful enjoyment we had. We will return year on year as we love it so much. :)

Lovely house, beautiful views and the addition of games room and outdoor table tennis table a bonus. Easy walking distance to sea, pub and cafe.

Lower Hillcott welcomed a group of 10 and we had the holiday of a lifetime. The house was clean and spacious for our group - the views from the living room are spectacular!

The village of Crackington Haven avoids the tourism mayhem is Cornwall and the locals are very welcoming. In the village, you will find a a pub and two cafes that both serve local food. The entire village is also brilliant for watching the sunset (you can watch this at the top of the cliff, in the bay or even in the home!).

I will certainly be recommending Lower Hillcott to those looking for a quiet getaway in the UK and I very much hope to return myself.

This was our first stay at Lower Hillcott after spending holidays in Crackington for the last 30 years. As our family needs changed and expanded we looked for larger accommodation, and this provided what we needed. The location was still very good whilst the accommodation and stunning grounds provided what we needed. Matt the caretaker provided excellent service, whilst the accommodation had been very well thought out. We will definitely be returning.

Really wonderful house in a very special location. Great for walking, the Crackington Haven beach, the pub and cafe. No complaints! A stair gate for toddlers would be my only request!

Lower hillcott is the perfect place for a week away with family and children. Outstanding views and incredibly well equipped for everything you need for your stay.
