We had a wonderful week at Fingals celebrating special birthdays with a large family group and 2 dogs. We stayed in the Barn and neighbouring Wisteria Suite which meant we could all be together very easily. The Barn is very comfortable- the large living/kitchen/dining room is perfect for all being together. We made good use of the pool, sauna and games room, which we had completely to ourselves as there were no other guests staying. We has a lovely week with the family and had both "The Barn" as well as Wisteria which worked really well for us as they are on the same balcony. The pool and sauna was great with changing rooms and showers. We were lucky that nobody else was staying so had the run of the place to ourselves. Richard and Sheila were lovely hosts available if we need them but not intrusive. The apartment had the advantages of being really well equipped and so warm that we never has to have the heating on. Great place to stay, loved the roaring stream flowing past. Everything one needs for a comfortable stay.
A home from home, it was our third stay at Fingals, and it continues to hold its magic. The Barberry Brook is a gorgeous, light and airy mezzanine apartment. Fingals also has a games room with vintage table football and pool, and the swimming pool is housed in a conservatory with overgrown plants and hand painted Ancient Greece inspired mural. We love it for its lived in feeling, and its quirks. It is a very special place indeed.
