We had a fantastic stay at Keepers Cottage on the Straloch Estate. The cottage was very homely and well equipped with everything we could possibly need. The views from the cottage were breath taking and there is plenty of interesting walks from the cottage. We also indulged in a picnic prepared by Penny in the Shepherds Hut, which was about a 45 minute walk through the estate, and well worth the trip. We both would have liked to have stayed longer and hope to visit again next year. Thank you Lucy and Penny for a lovely stay.
We stayed with our family (children of 3 and 6) in Stalkers Lodge. The layout of the house is perfect and the interior quality (furniture/appliances etc) is very high. The estate itself has some beautiful paths to explore on the hillside, through farmland and around a small lake. The hosts live on the estate as well. They allowed us our privacy during our stay but were very helpful when we needed them. So all in all fantastic accommodation, great hosts, highly recommended!
